My husband and I decided to stay here for a weekend to get away. We were blown away by the hotel, the decor and the staff. It was such a delight, we can’t wait to stay there again! Ocean drive has blocked vehicle traffic so it’s a great time to bring your skates, bikes or just take a stroll with plenty of space for social distancing.
Beautiful vintage hotel with convenient location. Complementary breakfast was delicious. Family friendly. I was staying with my 9 year old daughter and made us feel like movie stars. Would work perfect for romantic getaways as well. Special thanks to Philip for being so nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it to other travellers.
We absolutely loved the hotel. Granted the walls are thin and unfortunately so many travelers have no sense of consideration for others. Travelers My Lawd Please don’t let your d@$n doors slam shut! My advise to the Cavalier, figure something out about the parking situation. With Ocean Dr shut down, it is a nightmare to sit and wait for the valet to come. (About 30 minutes, what a deal for $35) Traffic nightmare with delivery trucks just parking in the middle of the road with no consideration of those trying to get around them. Then you have to carry all of your luggage to the hotel. It’s a pretty good distance, too. No luggage carts either. Also, the hotel needs to give you advance notice about the check in process and how to get to the hotel, with the friggin road closed. IF we come back, it will be after Ocean Dr is open.…
Had a fabulous trip to South Beach while staying at the Cavalier South Beach hotel. It was a beautiful art deco style and the staff was amazing. Philip at the front desk took care of our every need. We spent hours lounging on the front porch watching the world go by. Bringing the entire family back next year.
We booked this hotel en route from orlando and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at how lovely it was from outside a truly lovely facade,i was annoyed that they advertised parking on the booking .com website and then charged us in excess of $48 for 1 nights parking, they also took another $200 refundable from my credit card which at the time of writing this review they still have not refunded, the breakfast was poor when compared to European standards so overall i have to say our stay was adequate and no more, however south beach was rammed with kids on spring break and everyone we met made us feel very welcome even though we are 2 old retired brits. USA your kids are something to be proud of well behaved polite and welcoming,we'll be back but maybe not to the Cavalier hotel despite it's excellent location.…
