What a cute boutique hotel with onsite restaurant, bar, and rooftop pool. The bar is lively at night but that doesn’t bother me because I can sleep through anything. The hotel is only a few blocks from the ocean and near several South Beach shops and dining options. I loved the indoor-outdoor feel of the hotel along with captivating art sprawling the walls.
In this charming boutique hotel you can match both of some common travelers to Miami. I went to a business trip and obviously my wife didn’t want to miss visiting Miami. At Urbanica The Meridian we found a extremely well located hotel, where you can “do your job” and take advantage of the best of south beach. Just 15 minutes from downtown and 5 blocks from the beach. Where you can easily reach beaches, supermarkets, Lincoln road in a blink, because the hotel provides you with great bikes. So go and enjoy this friendly staff hotel, nicely maintained and enjoy some great empanadas (turnovers). Highly recommended!
I really really wanted to like this place based on prior reviews. It seemed like the perfect boutique hotel for us in a great location. The pros: - Very friendly, hip, and welcoming staff - Lively ambience - Great lobby coffee bar and barista - Great location - Fun bar (Mini Bar) Cons: - Our room was an 1+ late to get ready, for which the manager offered us late check-out (more on this later) and gave us a glass of champagne (see pros above!) - Room wasn't fully cleaned when we got it (receipts in drawer, inflated balloon in the bathroom) - Balconies facing the street have a high wall, so you can't really seeing anything if you sit down (tip: request the balconies facing the pool) - Espresso machine in the room made some pretty sour espresso - Coffee shop service was incredibly slow as they were perpetually understaffed - Barely anyone wore masks - I expect at least the staff to wear masks (at least those handling food) - The late check-out mentioned above - I tried to confirm it almost every night as I had a feeling the message wasn't passed on - every night they said they'd pass it along to the morning person, but the morning of checkout I get a call in the morning reminding us to check out. I had to explain (again) that we were offered late checkout. Overall, if it was one or two things above that didn't go well I would have been fine with the hotel (especially since it was a busy time), but the housekeeping, slow service, poor communication, and disregard for health practices made this an underwhelming experience.…
Come on,... Covid is becoming the easiest way of making money. Neither Expedia nor the same hotel warned us of not cleaning the bedroom. Meaning you have to fetch your extra amenities as well the clean towels. Still they charged same rate and the resort fee,... what a joke,... resort for a jacuzzi,...But at same time, the receptionist who created us was eating at the desk and without mask for obvious reason. Rent at Airbnb or vrbo,... cheaper. On the top of that, the photographer made an amazing job as pictures doesn’t at all reflect the reality: the pool is the size of a big jacuzzi and the rooms look definitely smaller than on the pictures. Noise was loud with the hotel bar just standstill in the center of the building. Definitely a rip off at over 300$ a nite
Both the Urbanica Meridian and Euclid exceeded all my expectations! Staff is beyond exceptional, have never felt more welcomed. Could not recommend it enough! I will stay here every time I come back to Miami :)
