The Meridian Miami boasts a welcoming atmosphere with music and decor that enhances its charm, despite some noting it can be noisy. Many guests commend the clean, modern rooms, suggesting those with balconies for extra space and views. While opinions on value and noise levels vary, with some concerns about soundproofing and service, the hotel's cleanliness and prime location near the beach and nightlife are consistently praised. Amenities like beach access and a pool are popular, though there are mixed feelings about the frequency of housekeeping and room service options.

A good hotel to use as a base for exploring Miami Beach. Close to Ocean Drive and Washington Avenue where the bus stops can be found for Miami transport and the free trolley buses. Rooms are comfortable and clean with noise levels generally minimal though subject to large city siren sounds. Staff are excellent, friendly and knowledgeable about local places to visit. The pool is a good size plunge pool with sunbeds and a comfortable quiet room nearby. There is access to vending machines, microwave and water coffee and tea are available throughout the day and free Wifi. Cafe has good selection of food during the day and there are a selection of restaurants within 10 minutes walk. We would not hesitate to stay again and are hoping to return in the near future.Thank you Sexton and the other staff members for making our stay so enjoyable.

Stopped here for 5 days on the 4th floor. Complex is very modern and our room was lovely with a white colour scheme. Bed was large and really comfortable, shower was also large and was a walk in shower that was a little sensitive when it came to hot/cold. There was a fridge, coffee machine and a balcony as well, which we used to sit outside. There was options within the hotel for meals at cost although we didn’t use them. When using the beach the hotel also provided us with umbrellas, beach towels and loungers on the beach as well as bikes for rent.
Service was a bit hit and miss. Some days it was really late, others they didn’t leave fresh towels, coffee pods or shower gel/shampoo. They did leave their carts in the stairwells so we had to go help ourselves although there were no coffee pods at all after 2 days.
Location wise it’s very good with a very short walk to where the action was (beach area) but far enough out that it was quiet at night. It was certainly within walking distance of most of the restaurants we used.
It isn’t cheap and the resort fees add to this, but Miami Beach is very expensive so I would say this does present value in that area.

We stayed in Urbanica for 6 nights during the Christmas time and were really happy with our choice!

Room is descent size, has all of the basic amenities. No balcony though (I think some rooms do have it but come at different rate). Comfortable bed and pillows

Hotel has a perfect location, very close to the beach and Ocean drive but far enough to not hear all the street noise. Quiet and nice neighborhood with some coffeeshops just few minutes walk away. Also hotel has bikes to rent out for free, almost every day we took bikes which is very convenient

Staff is very polite and helpful, I don´t know the names unfortunately but all of the reception staff were really nice to us. Cleaning was done perfectly.

Overall happy with our choice and would stay here again :)

A glowing review in the Boston Globe convinced me to pick the Meridian for two nights. There were no major problems, but there were a lot of asterisks: A bunch of little things that, when added up, make for disappointment.

Too little soap to last the whole two days; likewise the facial tissue. Several stains on the carpet, and black scuff marks on the white walls. A security clamp on the inside of the door that is extremely difficult to open when you were trying to exit the room. A noisy refrigerator I had to unplug to be able to sleep.

Speaking of sleep: it was impossible to darken the room. The door did not sit in its frame tightly, and leaked light from the hallway like crazy. The light from the telephone Console alone was almost enough to read by. The smoke detector and thermostat glowed annoyingly.

Also interfering with sleep: on the first night, the smell of strong bleach from laundering the bed linens was almost too much to take. I’m all for extra cleanliness but in this case it was a bit over the top.

I really wanted to love this place – it seems to be trying hard to be a Genuine, cool “boutique“ hotel.

And the price their website showed me was attractive, 149 per night, but then of course there is the surprise at the end: the $20 per night “resort fee“ that’s tacked on — as if somehow WiFi and a tiny, tiny pool are luxuries that everyone should pay for, whether you use them or not.

Bottom line: OK price for this part of the town for high season. But you could probably do better as far as the comfort level in a similar price range.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Meridian Urbanica Hotel. It's a lovely, cool and trendy hotel in a superb location. The rooms are nice although not very big, and the swimming pool is tiny, but who wants to stay round the swimming pool when you are on vacation.

The cafe is cute, the alleyway between the two buildings is a beautiful place to sit and have a drink or a bite to eat. The bar has a great atmosphere and there is always something going on on there.

I would recommend this hotel if you are staying on Miami beach but be careful about the parking. The man behind reception (nice beard) told me where to park for three nights, so I parked there and instead of the $25 per day he told me it would cost... cost over $300 dollars for our duration. As you can imagine I wasnt very happy and got no apology at all from the hotel.

If you want to go for a night out stay away from Ocean Drive, it is a complete rip off, the beers are $25, the cocktails are $15 but for a tiny plastic glass... we went out had 2 beers, 2 cocktails a small single course meal and spent over $160

Stay a couple of blocks back and you will pay normal Miami prices

After a horrendous first night in South Beach at a nearby Airbnb, we made a last-minute booking at The Meridian and what a breath of fresh air this hotel turned out to be! The hotel has a lovely and very friendly front desk: big thanks to Layla for her restaurant recommendations, all of which turned out to be wonderful; and to Ashley, the front desk manager, who was super nice and kind throughout our stay.

The hotel itself is quite pleasingly decorated, with a lot of whites and greens throughout the property. There is a small pool and a chill-out zone on the second floor, as well as a bar located on the ground floor. We stayed on the fourth floor on weekdays and did not have any problem with the noise. The rooms themselves are quite comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

The location is super nice, right on 5th Street, very much walkable from the beach, Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue. As a plus, the hotel provides beach towels and chairs at no cost to all their guests, which was a very nice touch! Overall, a perfect stay - highly recommend it!

We stayed here for one night before boarding our cruise the next morning and weren’t disappointed! The hotel is bright, clean and modern with great amenities - a pool, free wifi, a bar and breakfast / lunch eatery area which also serves as a cafe from the street.

The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done enough to help us. They even allowed us to return the next week once the ship had docked back in Miami and use the hotel as a base (looking after our cases) while we explored Miami before returning to the airport to come home.

If you’re thinking about going to Miami I totally recommend this hotel, it’s so central and only a five minute walk from the number 150 bus stop on Washington Ave costing $2.25 each way to the airport.

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night while passing through Miami and it was a nice place to stay. On first impression it has a nice small cafe to get Italian style coffee and snacks and a small lounge and reception area. Reception was warm and welcoming and the hotel itself is small but inviting. Our room was a little stark at pure white and very simple details but fine for 1 night. There’s also a small pool for a dip. Across the road from the hotel is a great little healthy juice/açai/cafe type eatery called Under The Mango Tree and you can’t beat the hotel’s location, it is a super short walk to the beach, some great restaurants and bars in the lower south Miami area and close to the local marina also.

This hotel is in a great location and a 10 minute walk from south beach. Although we didn’t utilise we were told could have free access to beach chairs at the beach. Parking was available at an adjacent sister hotel at cost of $35.
Rooms were compact and basic but clean. Booking through Expedia we were able to have the $30 room tax back at their bar which was a bonus.
Could not fault the staff for their helpfulness.

After a long journey from the UK we arrived and my first impression was far from positive. For the price I had expected a higher standard. However the room was clean, the fridge a welcome extra as we were staying 5 nights. No kettle but the Cafe downstairs (at a cost) served lovely coffee, fresh bakes and did not mind me having my 'hot water'.
All the reception staff are excellent, especially Luis. They make the Hotel!
The happy hour prices are not a lot to smile about, the bar is small but again the welcome is a happy one.
The location is also ideal for getting round, the Publix supermarket is in walking distance and Montys, is only a 10 minute walk which serves lovely food! We walked miles to soak up Miaim. With the $ v £ exchange we found everything expensive on this trip.
If you want to go to the Bayside Market Place & take a boat tour, I suggest you buy the 2 day hop on hop off bus tour as this covers a boat trip and has a stop at the Bayside Market Place, more cost effective than Uber or Lyft and then the boat tour cost. We learnt this after paying out!
Hopefully this has been helpful UK visitor, January 2023, age 65.

Yes there are elevators but I wouldn’t stay here as they trick you in paying a deposit and say once you check out, they will refund you the 50 but they never did refund my money and I emailed and called over 20 times .. it’s a disgrace that a hotel can do that and get away with it
