My wife and I stayed here for two nights Mothers Day weekend. We were on the 3rd floor with an oceaneview room. Check in was quick and we had an early check in. A deposit was required prior to check in and an "incidentals" hold of $150 was placed on our credit card at check in. (the hold was released after check out). Beach towels are at available for signing out. The room was much larger than we anticipated based on how old the building really is. There is an elevator. There is a restaurant in the lobby and a cooked to order breakfast was included. The room was clean, there was basic cable in the room, the air conditioning was fantastic, the shower worked but use the beach towels instead of the room towels - much cleaner and not worn. The room had a safe but it would not open. There is wireless internet.This being a weekend we were very surprised how little sound we actually heard from the street at night. There is a 700 car garage 2 blocks away (self parking, $20 a night) The location of this hotel is what makes it a standout, you can walk everywhere - beach, restaurants, shopping. Go with an open mind.

I stayed at the Majestic at the end of February 2022. Even though the lobby sign warns that due to COVID, housekeeping would not clean the room or replace towels unless requested, but my room was cleaned daily and I was provided with fresh towels on a regular basis! The hotel kindly kept my suitcases before I checked in and after I checked out so that I could enjoy SoBe. The location is unbeatable-- directly across from the beach, right on Ocean Drive, and in the heart of great restaurants. Very lively! I was concerned about noise, but it was not an issue. Would stay here again!

We're sorry you were unhappy. As it was explained by the front desk agent on duty at the time of your arrival, Booking.com is not owned and is not operated by the hotel. Booking.com is a third-party online reservation agency. Your reservation was not received by the hotel from Booking.com. Your reservation was received from a different third-party agency that Booking.com used. We collect resort fees directly at the hotel. As such, Booking.com should never have charged you the resort fees advance. The other agency does not collect resort fees on behalf of the hotel and as such, the resort fees were collected at check-in. This is why the front desk staff directed you to contact Booking.com for a refund of the money you paid them for the resort fees. The hotel only collected $21.66 per night of your stay for resort fees. We collect this from all guests. While it is not the hotel's fault for a third-party entities performance, we have taken steps to ensure this will not happen again in the future to other guests. Booking.com has removed this unauthorized promo from our listing on their website. The restaurant, On Ocean 7 Cafe, is not owned or operated by the hotel. Live in northern Miami. Planned a little staycation to South Beach, as I hear a few a year are good for you.
The Majestic Hotel, one of the several art deco hotels, is as modernized as it can be inside.
Air conditioner was quick to work, room was clean at check in, there were attendants always available, and the few times there were hiccups (the hotel key cards not working) were quickly fixed in under 5 minutes.
We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, pretty straight forward set of choices, but quality wise, no different than pricier hotels I've stayed in.
The room had, a settled oceany smell, not aromatic mind you, but it wasn't unpleasant either. The washroom smelt bleachy, but after the second day, we got used to it.
Staff is friendly and the attendants at the desk were always effective.
Place is right on the beach and really close from a public park, tho if you're there for South Beach, you can walk everywhere (as we did) with ease.
All in all, the quality was greater than I was prepared for given what I payed. Will recommend to everyone!

The place is not new but it is enough to have a great stay in front of Miami Beach. All services are near the hotel and we couldn't not expect lower value as the area is expensive in every hotel and restaurant. It was noisy at the street but it was not hotel fault. They have a great variety of food in the restaurant and they always leave you a bottle of water per person at the bedroom. They have beach towels service and it is appreciated.

The views, the price and the staff really cannot be beat. You are steps from the beach and the ocean front rooms give you a great view of the ocean and the action in the street. The staff makes sure the guests stay is perfect and we truly appreciated it.

TLDR: The best example of how bad this place is, they literally jackhammered the kitchen at 120am. Every guest on the 1st floor called and they refused to stop because the kitchen was closed and that's the only time they could do it. According to the construction worker this was approved by Pedro and someone else to do at this time.
Not sure how this place has a review this high. Check-in is a small window inside a loud & busy restaurant so hearing is difficult. $61 for "early check in" for 2hrs early. $20+ a day, daily resort fee. $150 deposit per room which "can take 7-10 days to release". Paperwork states they cannot guarantee noise free rooms…
We were on the first floor, can clearly hear the restaurant at all times. Fire alarm battery low beep in the hallway. Windows are frosted white so you can't see out, can hear noise from outside as well. The coffee cups are dirty, the coffee maker has dust on it. The closet has damage to the walls and is dusty. The robes have hair hanging off them.
Rooms are "renovated" looking, like a flipped house. New floors and tiling from what it seems, new looking furniture. None of it is good quality, tile work is bad, furniture and beds don't feel nice. Dusty rooms, hard beds, all the vents and ACs are full of dust. Walls and door frames appear to have been painted a dozen times. The toilet runs constantly, the toilet seat is loose. Honestly we had 3 rooms for 3 nights, we abandoned after the first night and ate the no cancellation cost.
Front desk does not know if they will refund the resort fee which is based on being here, said I have to contact the agency it's booked through even though it has literally nothing to do with the agency since it was paid after arriving, outside of standard fees.
I've received multiple text from their automated service which I did not agree to.
This place is appalling. The only redeeming feature is the location, which doesn't have parking you have to stay in the garage a block away. No validation or otherwise.

First of all, the elevators was not working and I had to up and down with my 2 luggage for 3 floors. I booked my room with breakfast, and the person on desk said that I didn't have a right to use the voucher, and just at last day I could use this, the staff put the blame in a third part, and just said "I´m sorry, I cant refund you about this mistake". During my stay was raining and my room had a leaking and wet the flor and matters. The services is so expensive, such as valet and I had to spend $25.00 for 5 packed on the reception. The positive, is the location.

The hotel will provide reception service but as our storage is limited, we will accept one package for free and additional packages will be charged. You advised the front desk that you did not provide the breakfast voucher from the previous day and were charged. It is unfortunate and as explained, the hotel does not own the restaurant. They provide a select menu when presenting the voucher to the hotel guest. All guest must pick up their voucher daily in order to enjoy the included breakfast. Safe travels. Yes. Use this garage a block away. Great value. $2 an hour and $20 MAX for 24 hours. We used this option instead of valet. However, no in and out service. The cheapest and closest we found though. 7th St Parking Garage. 270 seventh St.
