Pre Cruise stay at Intercontinental Miami, the hotel is huge and seems to cater to large groups. The facility is well designed and maintained, except for the pool area which seems like another planet - small pool, strange architecture and spotty service. The main restaurant is a delight. We stayed on the Club Floor our room was large and comfortable, the Clubroom staff was friendly and attentive.

Fabulous pre cruise stay for two nights …..room was much larger than expected and the bar area at the lobby was buzzing……Alexis lobby ambassador was very helpful and a great character too. Every member of staff we had contact with were friendly. Location was fabulous as was in house Starbucks

We preordered the breakfast package with our stay at the intercontinental in Miami not knowing what a gem olé would be. Everyday we were checked in and taken to our seats by a great hostess, we were offered water and I would order hot tea instead of the coffee. We didn’t try the menu because we wanted to give the buffet a try and it had a great variety of freshly made breakfast food like sausages, scrambled eggs pancakes and many more items. My girlfriend loved the daily fresh juice and pastries. She enjoyed the freshly made oat milk and the chia pudding and overnight oats. When we are back in town this will be a must in our tour.

We had a great 2 nights stay at this hotel while we explored Miami a little bit. The view was okay, a bit too much of the building next to the hotel, but we got to enjoy the view at the lounge. Speaking of it, the food was very good and the staff very kind. The location of the hotel is great, close to public transport, next to the Bayfront Park and a shopping center. The room was typical for an IHG hotel, comfortable and clean. Concierge helped us with changing our money into smaller notes for the bus. Also a great hotel for some interesting plane pictures!

We came for UMF as did probably the majority of the hotel this weekend, which involves late nights and sleeping in. There was HORRIBLE construction noise beginning anywhere from 8-10 EVERY DAY. We were lied to by the management who told us 1) this would only be during weekdays and 2) this was disclosed risk at time of booking. Which it wasn’t. We stayed here a week at $500/night with the only real expectation of a good night sleep and apparently that isn’t enough for this hotel. Unbelievable, never staying again.

Another fantastic stay, ocean view room was lovely, Club Floor service and amenities were excellent as was a brunch in Ole and dinner in Toro Toro. Concierges Mauricio and Rosello know how to get things done, Carlos, David, Luis, and everyone else on the first floor and valet are simply the best.

Hotel is currently under construction during work hours (9-5 Monday to Friday). I wouldn’t have booked if I knew. After asking to move room, I was told all areas of the hotel were subject to the construction noises (though mine were not distant, it seemed as though it was the room above). I was told they have working spaces but having travelled for a conference I would prefer to take possibly confidential calls from my hotel room. Additionally, the bathroom would occasionally produce a weird smell - particularly after showering. Cleanliness wasn’t amazing, but fine. Advance warning to check about construction if you plan to work or sleep in your room between the hours of 9-5, as I hadn’t seen it advertised.

We had a very disappointing stay this past Wednesday. There was loud drilling above our room from 3pm - 5pm , then the next morning starting at 8:44am. We were here on a mini vacation and could not even sleep in a bit with all the noise. The hotel stated there was work being done, however if they would have told me this at check in I would have relocated to a different hotel. They offered me $50 which is nothing compared to what I paid.
