This was the third time we have stayed at the Vagabond. It is now our go-to place when we head for Miami. We have also stayed there before leaving on a cruise the next day. It is close to the Port. It is close to the airport. It is close to the interstate. It's beautiful. If you like mid- century modern, you will love the room decor. Huge, beautiful pool. In the evening, have a seat at the poolside bar and get to know Sebastian. Walk down Biscayne Blvd for nearby great Italian or Cuban fusion. In the morning, get great coffee in the lobby. Then cross the street to We We's and have an amazing breakfast outside. Just the best small "old Florida" hotel anywhere.

When we fully renovated the hotel in 2014, after being closed for many years, our aim was to be part style icon, part boutique hotel, and in a class of our own! It great to know that you had the time to discover all the great restaurants in our neighborhood. Our guests indeed love We We Bakery for breakfast/lunch and there is now an equally great place that you should try next time, Caracas Bakery. Like a trip back in time with modern comforts in a great location. Rooms were beautifully decorated with Miami modern style and custom wall mural. The pool and bar have great atmosphere and the perfect spot to unwind. We ate at the amazing on-site restaurant, Mr. Mandolin. Easy drive to Mid-town, the Design District, and Wynwood. Loved our time there.

Third stay at the Vagabond. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Having the refrigerator and coffeemaker makes the stay even better. The mattresses provide great sleeping. The staff are delightful and always helpful. Pool and landscaping are well maintained and access to the bar provides for a relaxing stay.

Clean, cute, friendly, and lots of personality! This motel is a gem and nicer than many other larger-chain hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff is so friendly, there are so many delicious restaurants in walking distance, and the pool is out of a magazine. Can’t wait to come back to Miami just to stay here!

This place is very fun and retro in style with amazing restaurants all around (we ate most meals within walking distance). The vibes are definitely on. Only slight complaint: no fridges for leftovers.

My cousin lives in the neighborhood behind the hotel and insisted that we stay here - we were so happy we did! Not only was it convenient to visit with my cousin at her house, but hosting her and other friends at the pool and bar while we celebrated my daughter's birthday weekend felt quite decadent! The hotel is beautiful and the whole MiMo history makes it even more special. The Vagabond is a treasure! The room was very comfortable, the shower was amazing and we will be back! Sebastien makes a perfect gin & tonic and mojito! The homemade dried limes were beautiful additions!

Stayed at this hotel from reviews I found here and on TikTok. Wanted to feel a connection to Miami mid century heyday. This hotel and the neighborhood didn’t disappoint. Rooms are super clean and the housekeeping spot on. 2 free waters daily. Pool is clean and comfortable open during daylight hours. Free well lit parking, real room keys, rainfall and handheld spray showers. Staff is super friendly. Neighborhood is looking to the past to make a comeback. This step of route 1 is neon mile with this motel and others neon signs. Walkable too great restaurants breakfast or dinner. 5 minute drive to design district which is trendy with lots of high end stores and cool restaurants. 10-15 minute drive straight down to downtown Miami. 20 minute drive straight up to FLL and many restaurants along route one. Obviously it not on the beach if that what you want be prepared to pay nightly parking/valet costs. Otherwise this is perfect spot to explore NSEW as it been since the 50s. Safety I never had an issue and felt safer here than in downtown, wynwood, little havana, etc. which are also super fun to visit and never had a problem. 5 stars definitely worth it!…
