Came to visit family for Thanksgiving, stayed only one night, hotel rooms look great, newly decorated, good bed. Pool bar can get noisy if it gets busy so possibly not the best for little kids. Great onside restaurant, also many other food choices within walking distance. The only reason why I'm not leaving 5* is because our room had musty...

The Vagabond gets it right. The MiMo district is lucky to have such an establishment to introduce travelers to the neighborhood. We stayed for two night and had a memorable experience - from the hotel layout, pool area, interiors, exterior design and furnishings, landscaping, parking, and desk attendants, cleanliness. Everything was provided to create a classic Miami weekend. We enjoyed...

Disappointed in this cool spot. No hot water for my room and the office just told me sorry. They know of the problem and still offer the room. Told me that all I could do was to write a complaint here. No alternatives offered, just that they are aware that the second floor has hot water issues and it would...

I am very sorry that your stay was not as expected. As you can see from other reviewers, this is certainly not the norm. We take all these issues very seriously and as such will certainly investigate this matter immediately . Having just been voted by USA Today, as the #1 mid priced hotel in the USA, we work hard...

With a staff that is proud of what the rehabilitation of this little M/Hotel has done for the neighborhood, it makes you feel proud to do your little bit to help save this area's Mid-Century Modern gems by staying here. Convenient to just about everything with a car and great eating places within walking distance, too!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at The Vagabond. We were impressed upon arrival. Brett Adelman greeted and welcomed us personally. He also reached out to us before arrival with a welcome email and suggested we check out the Vagabond Kitchen. He even made reservations for us upon our request. The Vagabond is a small hotel/motel but their...

Thank you so much for staying with us and we look forward to your return visit, hopefully very soon! By the way, our larger King rooms (the Suites) actually come with a mini fridge and a Keurig coffee machine with Starbucks coffee pods.

There are so many hotel options in Miami that it can be overwhelming. I knew where I wanted to be but then my wallet jumped out and smacked me up side the head. So, I widened my search and stumbled backwards into the Miami Mimo area - a funky little revitalized part of town with great restaurants and places to...

Thank you for staying with us and for the lovely review, we agree with you that the value proposition is tremendous at the Vagabond. The only reason why we close the pool at 8 pm is due to the fact that the outdoor bar is located on the pool deck and we do not want to encourage drinking and swimming....

If you wander to the Vagabond, be ready to stay in a hotel that has updated its original 1950's components to include modern amenities while still capturing the fun and quirky elements of that era. With outdoor corridors, two levels, and off-street parking, it's more like a motel than hotel, but not in a Super 8 kind of way. We...

We booked a three night stay to end our USA holiday. As we only booked on the Thursday for a Saturday check in, we were surprised to be informed by email on the morning we were due to arrive that there was a "private" pool party taking place on the Sunday. It was an extremely noisy event. Breakfast was not...

Thank you for the feedback. We actually send out emails regarding the monthly party as soon as a reservation come through. I apologize if you were not notified in advance of your arrival. These monthly parties actually end in October and do not resume until April. As for the complimentary breakfast, it includes Coffee/Tea/OJ, croissants, bagels, with cream cheese and...

We stayed at this hotel at the start of our tour around Florida. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the front desk who took us through the hotel polices and showed us to our room. Thank you for staying with us and I hope you return to Florida soon and of course to the Vagabond. The pool bar opens at 3 pm during the week and remains open until 11 pm. However, on Fridays and Saturdays, the pool bar closes at midnight. I will pass all your kind comments to the staff!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Re-defined. Re-invented. Re-imagined Blending cutting edge design with timeless retro aesthetics, the newly renovated Vagabond Hotel is a cosmopolitan mix of all things hassle-free. The perfect balance of attentive boutique service, retro-chic inspired interiors and contemporary comfort, the Vagabond invites you to kick back and relax. Set to redefine it's glamorous past as a fabled Rat Pack hangout, the Vagabond is back. An iconic mid-century modern Miami landmark, set within 56,000 sq. ft of lush landscaping, this reinvented, newly renovated American Motel classic has been completely transformed into a super-fabulous, uber-chic, twenty-first century, retro-luxe, 45-room boutique service hotel. Designed by us, but always inspired by you, we know a hotel is more than just a place for you to sleep. It's where you work, rest, play and stay. So, offering more than the to be expected style savvy good looks, our vibrant, retro-licious guest rooms wrap you up in a cosmopolitan world of stylish home comforts, designer touches and high-tech convenience. All topped off with meticulous service from friendly, knowledge staff . . Simply put, from the minute you check into the Vagabond's ultra-modern lobby to the moment you reluctantly say goodbye you'll be smitten... Sleek 1950's inspired custom made furniture, dreamy hypo-allergenic Italian beds, vibrant bursts of color, free high speed Wi-Fi, intricately stenciled geometric wall art, invigorating rain showers, sumptuous eco-chic toiletries, state of the art 40" flat screen TVs and stunning original design features, such as terrazzo tiling and wooden flooring are just some of small details that we know will make the big difference. However, don't get too comfortable... With most of our spacious, rooms opening up into a tantalizing poolside oasis, decked out with sultry palm trees, oversized sun loungers, a delectable cabana bar, and mouth watering restaurant, you 'll be spoilt by what to do next. But let's be honest, if the biggest decisions you have to make each day, are what sunscreen you should wear while swimming away the hours with our legendary mosaic mermaid, or whether of not you should order your Vodka Vagatini frozen or on the rocks while you soak up the rays, life can't be bad. ..And don't worry, even if you're less of a 'factor 15 universalistic sun worshipper' and more of the 'get up and go' travel connoisseur, architecture buff, fashionista, foodie, style seeker, culture vulture or art lover, we've still got you covered. With Downtown, South Beach, Midtown, the Wynwood Art Scene and the Design District, all with easy reach, the very best of Miami's dining, shopping, sightseeing and sunbathing is at your fingertips Less of an end destination and more of an experience, for us using the Do Not Disturb sign is a style statement, not a declaration of privacy. ... more   less
