The Elser Hotel Miami garners mixed reviews, with guests lauding its clean, modern atmosphere and stunning views, yet some feel a deserted vibe and note limited dining options. Its prime location is popular for its access to local attractions, though reviewers warn of unexpected fees that may affect the perceived value. While the full kitchens and in-room washers/dryers are appreciated, service quality and room cleanliness receive varied feedback. Amenities like the pool have restricted hours, leaving room for improvement in overall guest satisfaction.

Brand-new apartment hotel just a few footsteps to Miami’s bayside area and lots of eating and shopping outlets. The apartment (we had a one bedroom) was perfectly equipped (finally with a USB-C port on the bedside) and with a full kitchen (already equipped with dishes, silverware, glasses etc.) and a washer/dryer. Check in was smooth and quick and we were given three room options by marvellous Bradley who spent a lot of time finding us the best suitable suite for my wife who uses a wheelchair. Beautiful views of the bay from our private 38th floor balcony and perfect service throughout the hotel made our short visit unforgettable. Even though the pool area can get a bit crowded on the weekend, it’s a nice spot to relax and have a drink. Valet parking is on the expensive side (50$/day) but there are cheaper options at nearby places (e.g. college garage two blocks away for 15$/day). I am not sure whether they have a restaurant on site but there are so many dining options at bayside marketplace anyway. Whenever staying in this area, I would definitely choose the Elser again.

This place is a must if visiting Miami overnight. The level of service was beyond my expectations. From our first encounter at the valet to the last encounter leaving; every single employee went above and beyond to ensure our stay was top tier. Fernando's dedication to his guests is unmatched. My son loved the complimentary fresh strawberry lemonade offered in the lobby so much that Fernando personally delivered a fresh batch to our room. Our room was spotless with a view that will take your breath away and a bed so comfortable you will not want to wake up. Make sure you dedicate some time to spend in their massive hot tub overlooking the water! I will be recommending the Elser to any and every one that will listen. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you Elser Hotel

Stayed here for our sons college spring break. We had a 2 bedroom suite on 19th floor overlooking the bay. Overall, we had a positive experience. Views were breathtaking. Bayside marketplace is right across the street and so is the Miami-Dade arena. We attended a Heat basketball game and it could not have been more convient.
Our unit had a wrap around balcony but no furniture.
The bedrooms were very small with only enough room for a king size bed and very tiny night tables. There was literally about 12 inches between the foot of our bed and the wall. The bathroom were adequate but by no means large. It took me a few days to realize that there was a huge drawer below the sink so there is plenty of storage. Although we had a full kitchen, there were no pots and pans and no toaster. We like to fix breakfast when staying in a place that has a kitchen. Given that there is no restaurant on site the kitche should be fully appointed. We improvised and used the oven as a toaster and cooked our eggsin the microwave. Coffee maker is a single cup nepresso style. Coffee was always lukewarm . I wish it was a regular 12 cup coffeemaker. The washer and dryer were a bonus. Laundry detergent provided but no dryer sheets.
The best part of the hotel is the roof top pool and bar. Light fare such as flatbread, Sandwiches and salads available at the bar. Could use more seating around the pool. The gym is very impressive and spans 2 levels with views of the city. It was never crowded.
The staff were all very nice and friendly. Fernando at the concierge gets notable mention for going above and beyond for getting a basketball for our son to use at the nearby park. Speaking of park, parking was very expensive at $50 per day.
Expensive but overall positive experience. We would stay again

I really wanted to like this place and it has some great potential.

The good: brand new shiny place, cool elevator/room access features, beds are comfortable, nice appliances (full sized fridge with water/ice dispenser, dishwasher, range, washer/dryer), the staff at check-in and valet/doormen were very friendly, great location and views.

The bad:
While the appliances are very nice I don’t how you are expected to be able to cook anything. There are zero pots/pans or utensils like a spatula (or anything). I called guest services and requested a skillet. They said they couldn’t guarantee what was available. Eventually someone brought me two different sized pots. I explained I needed a skillet or flat pan to make a grilled cheese or like something to fry an egg for breakfast. I thought the person understood my request but he didn’t come back. Instead, I decided I might have better luck and placed an order for a cheap one from Instacart from Big Lots. I also had to order a spatula.

Next, this is gross. I went to use the microwave and there was a styrofoam box with somebody else’s leftovers that were moldy. Obviously, the microwave isn’t cleaned.

Finally, the main reason we picked this hotel over a cheaper option was to have a relaxing weekend which also included spending time in the room watching tv or movies. We wanted to splurge a bit and paid more for this place because it is newer. There is a large brand new flatscreen TV. It didn’t work and there was no network connection. I called multiple times and had to wait over 6 hours for engineering to come (and only after I called again). He was able to fix it relatively easily made it even more frustrating that it took so long to send someone.

The hotel presents itself as new and upscale. However, there are definitely some things missing to be considered upscale at this point in time.

Originally booked a 3-bedroom suite and was downgraded to 2 1-bedroom suites due to a “mechanical issue with the original room”. Was told the rooms would be on the same floor(they weren’t)and that the sofa beds would be made up(they weren’t and when I called down was told that it would be an extra fee to turn them down.) The tvs in one room would not connect to the WiFi, so no service. The free continental breakfast is a joke as well. You can get coffee and one(and I mean one as people were denied more) breakfast pastry. If you want an orange juice be prepared to spend 12 dollars a small bottle. The facility is nice and the views of the cruise port are excellent. The staff was friendly but it appeared that they would tell you what you wanted to hear without being overly concerned about making it happen. When I arrived at 3 pm they lobby was filled with people waiting for a room. The check in is at 4 but be prepared to wait as the day we arrived people were still waiting for rooms at 7 pm. Be very careful when booking at this hotel as it appears that they have no problems switching your itinerary the day of arrival with little notice.

Got in early and paid for an Oceanview Suite. The lobby was gorgeous, clean, and smelled really nice. The pool and gym was impeccable.

The room itself was quite disappointing - reeked of pet urine. Tip: keep the room cool so it doesnt smell. The room was NOT cleaned at all. As beautiful as the room and view was, the cleanliness was not up to par. Fingerprints can be seen on the sliding doors, cabinets, and refrigerator. There's no dish soap, soap for dishwasher and/or scrubs even though you had a full kitchen. There was no laundry soap nor dryer sheets, so if you are staying there, bring your own if you need to do laundry.

We were only given 1 toilet roll per bathroom, no extras so we had to buy some from CVS down the street. Room was also stocked with VERY limited number of bath towels, not enough for 5 people.

The bed - the pillows were NOT cleaned at all! It smells like days of unwashed hair. The bedding in one of the room had foundation stain on it which was covered with a blanket. Trust me, I had to wash all the bedding sheets before sleeping on it because I simply cannot trust what I saw and smell. One of the bed was broken, it was making all sorts of noise just trying to sit on it.

In all honesty, Elser could be better if the rooms were well maintained and cleaned appropriately after each guest. I was quite disappointed as it did not meet any of my expectation for the price I paid. Again, gorgeous view that lacks cleanliness.

Pros: Rooms are new. View from higher floors are excellent. Beds are comfortable. If you are staying for a longer period the kitchen comes in handy.
Cons: No hotel grade windows=noisy at night. No face cloth or hand towels, hand soap, bottled water, snacks or mini bar provided. Housekeeping is hit and miss. Our windows were dirty, hair from last guest still clogged the shower drain, dining room table wasn’t wiped down between guests. No lobby bar or restaurant. The lobby is basically an apartment building lobby. Pool restaurant / bar is barebones and the brewed drip coffee is weak and watery.

Summary: We had to move rooms as our first room was unclean and had a wind related whistle in the ventilation. Second room was nice but still needed proper hotel grade cleaning. This could be a better experience with some consistency and attention to detail. Provide full towel sets with face cloths, hand soap and premium quality shampoos, conditioner, lotion sets. We got the sense they might have this stuff available but it may come down to housekeeping not being consistent. provide bottled water and a small selection of other drinks and maybe a basket of minibar type snacks. If they wanted to get really crazy with detailed hospitality they could have clean ice preloaded in the freezer. Lastly, they need to be consistent about cleaning the rooms very thoroughly. Windows, bathroom, kitchen etc. A lot of rooms get sunlight in the day and once it hits the windows you see everything. The rooms are new but once they start to age, it will be impossible to hide the poor cleaning practices. Elder management: lean into hotel standards if you’re going to charge almost $800/night. Don’t accept lesser standards of service just because you’re renting out an apartment that someone bought and may never have visited.

We arrived at the Elser at around 9:30pm on Sunday Feb 26,2023, after a terrible drive from the MIA airport that took almost 1 1/2 hours due to construction and an event. By the time we got checked in (after a 10 minute wait on 1 couple in front of us) and got to the room we realized it was 9:50. We contacted the front desk to find out there were no drinks, snacks or food in the hotel. They did not even have any vending machines. The front desk had recommended that we could walk to a McDonalds about a block away, but we looked and saw that it was closing at 10pm. The front desk then recommended a CVS pharmacy about 3 blocks away. We walked there and found some snacks and bottled water that we got for our dinner. The front desk had said that we could do an Uber Eats type thing, but we didn’t see any restaurants close to the hotel that were open and that we recognized.
Every hotel we have stayed in typically has bottled water or a mini-bar in the room or vending machines or a convenience area where drinks and snacks can be purchased. The Elser had nothing. For a room that was almost $500 / night, it was incredibly frustrating to have to walk to a CVS to get something to eat.
We had a 17th floor king bed room with an ocean view that should have been a wonderful room, but it was very unimpressive. The bedroom was so small that there was only a few inches between the edge of the bed and the wall. It was hard to get in and out of, and the carpet kept rolling up causing me to trip. They did not have nightstands by the bed but a very small shelf that I was barely able to get my CPAP machine on. My wife tried to put her cellphone on the small shelf by her side of the bed, but when she adjusted her pillow it knocked the cell phone off. There was no room for the luggage in that room either. For being on the 17th floor, there was a fair amount of street noise coming into the room.
We had a minor spill in the kitchen area and couldn’t find anything to clean it up with. Later we found some paper towels hidden in an upper cabinet.
When we got to the hotel we didn’t see anything on parking except for Valet, which was $50 per night.
Based on what the Elser claims to be, we should have had a wonderful stay. As it was, it is one of the very worst hotels we have ever stayed in.

The Elser Hotel is a beautifully modern property located in an excellent spot, offering stunning views and apartment-style accommodations that are both stylish and comfortable. The bedding and pillows are incredibly cozy, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The pool area is another highlight, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the Miami weather. While I didn’t get a chance to visit the on-site restaurant (the one in the lobby had great energy and was pretty packed so that's a good sign) during either of my stays, it’s worth noting for travelers who might be looking forward to dining options within the hotel.

Unfortunately, while the aesthetics and amenities are impressive, the service doesn't quite match the expectations of a 4.5-star hotel. Check-in can be a lengthy process, and housekeeping services are inconsistent, with requests sometimes overlooked or delayed. Guest services are hit or miss, with response times that vary and a general lack of attentiveness.

If you're someone who values a comfortable, modern space and a great location but isn’t too concerned about receiving polished guest services, The Elser might work well for you.

However, if you’re a traveler who enjoys being taken care of, values attentive staff, and expects consistent services for a seamless, high-end experience, The Elser may fall short of your expectations. While the hotel has many appealing features, the service gaps leave room for improvement.

When we chose The Elser for a family trip our expectations were of a comfortable accommodation, clean environment, efficient services and friendly and helpful service. The expectation did not come true and reality showed us a robotic team even for the cordiality presented. The cleaning and cleaning are very poor, because in a suitable for 6 people lacked dishes, kitchen utensils, disposable (toilet paper and towel paper) and after cleaning the room we always had to call requesting something that was missing, for example, bath towel, towel, sheets. That made us embarrassed by so many calls made to the concierge. We were with an 8-month-old baby and had to clean the floor of the apartment so dirty that it was, even after the cleaning was done, because we couldn't let it get stuck. Due to the time of year the hotel was crowded and I believe this is one of the difficulties in serving guests more efficiently. Another couple of friends who were staying in reported the same disappointment. The value of the daily does not justify the service provided. In the hallways we found a lot of garbage, cleaners always full of used sheets and a bag of garbage for hours, as well as items for room replacement. Which helped us when there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms.
The positive points are the location and the view of millions, the hotel is beautiful, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable, the staff that support the guests with luggage are very kind and helpful, I can no longer say the same of the managers, but I still understand that the hotel was crowded and this may have been the reason for the poor quality of the service. The partnership with the beach club is another high point of the hotel, worth the resort rate because the service is very good and the beach is beautiful.
The hotel has a lot of potential, but needs to train and a lot of its teams. Zeladoria, cleaning are the most sensitive points and the ones that most failed with us. Unfortunately I don't believe we'll be back, the daily is too high to risk a new disappointment.
