Thank you all for the great stay, very clean and excellent property, and good service. I would highly recommend this property and would come again. I think the AC brand seems compelling and haven't stayed at one before now but am impressed.
TERRIBLE service (they blame it on Covid regulations) BUT they dont make your room or help you in ANY way.... DONT stay here you will be paying to be treated like an unwanted family member that visit too often... the room is the size of a matchbox
We recently stayed here Labor Day weekend. The rooms were clean and cozy. There were lots of people in the pool so we didn’t go in but it was a nice pool and you could see the city from the roof view. The gym is located on the rooftop as well. Parking was cheaper then most hotels so that was a plus. If you’re looking for a quiet stay away from beach this is it.
I have been in this hotel for about a month now, the stay literally go out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable. I have stayed in many places and never gotten service this excellent. They are friendly, and very professional. The front desk staff and day time manager are my favorite. The rooms are beautiful, bathroom has the perfect vanity / lighting. It's very safe you need a key to get into the hotel and elevators, rooftop is very cute, and the lobby / elevators always smell great. I suggested this hotel to my friends who were visiting and they also loved it and said they will be back. The thing ill miss most about this place is the staff.
I love the concept of AC hotels. They are modern and minimalist spaces with sufficient creature comforts. I have been to the one in Tampa which is beautiful and the staff went above and beyond. The Miami midtown AC is brand new and is similarly designed and furnished like the Tampa one. However, that is where all similarities end. My 1st impression of the hotel was a poor one due to the unprofessionalism of the front desk personnel. While checking in, I inquired if my status as a Marriott Gold member entitled me to a free breakfast. At the Tampa one, I was provided with vouchers to try out the onsite restaurant. The gentleman dealing with me politely answered no. Shockingly, his female coworker next to him who overheard our interaction, laughed and said to him, "They are asking for a free breakfast." I was very shocked at the interaction and in hindsight wished I addressed it on the spot. Since it was a 1 night stay before my cruise, we were provided with a room that barely had a view. This didn't matter to me since we were only there for 1 night. However, I have to agree with other reviewers that the sound proofing in this hotel is one of the poorest. If you are a light sleeper, find another hotel. I can hear people talking in the hallways, the operation of the elevator, slamming of doors and would you believe it people swimming on the rooftop pool. Laying on the headboard of the beds, I felt the vibrations of doors slamming almost every 5 minutes during high traffic hours. It doesn't help that this hotel is close to the trendy Wynwood district. Therefore the crowd that prefers this hotel is definitely more into the night life so peak hours are during dinner time to early morning hours. The hotel is close to various fastfood chains like Taco Bell and McDonalds. If you are a heavy sleeper, couples or young single partiers, this is the hotel for you. I will not recommend this hotel for business travelers, families and especially not for light sleepers (you will not be getting any sleep). …
