The view was pretty nice from my balcony. Easy walking distance to the marina and restaurants. The staff was very professional and friendly. The bar/restaurant crew were friendly and helpful as well. Even the valet crew were pretty awesome especially Joana she took great care of us even after I lost my valet ticket..

While I should be asleep in my room at the moment, I am complaining (twice now in the last 25 minutes) regarding the noise in the hallway and rooms next to mine where young adults guys (must be college students) are in and out of their rooms and shouting/talking loudly to each other. I called the front desk who said they were sending someone up. Did they? Idk cause now it’s 1/2 later 10:30 and there is still commotion in the hallways. Clearly either no one was sent up or these unsupervised young adults are ignoring management. I explained I am here on business and must get up very early. Goes to show how awful it is to be staying at a nice hotel in a nice area allowing partying 20 yo kids to book rooms and act like it’s a free for all. We paying business responsible guests deserve what we pay for. Definitely will not suggest this hotel to my global company

Quite disappointing. So many small details that end up making your stay less than ideal. - pillows were smelly from day one - extremely small shower area, very uncomfortable even for a small person. - small sink area, poor light in the bathroom. - quite noisy air conditioning, from time to time would sound like an old truck starting. - I didn’t get my room cleaned in 2 out of 6 nights that I stayed there. - oh, the $30 destination (resort) fee that they charge and is so confusing. Some of the staff says that it only covers the food item, not the gratuity nor the taxes, others say that it covers everything and you only pay what goes beyond. - gratuity is pre-defined in your restaurant bill at 18% even for a single person, and the manager says that it’s mandatory, not optional, since it’s included in the bill. - manager says that your resort fee can’t be used for your breakfast at checkout day, since “you are not paying the resort fee for that day”. I had to show her that I payed 6 resort fees and that I would have only 6 nights and 6 mornings as a hotel guest, therefore 6 breakfasts. But for her it wasn’t allowed. - their system had most, if not all my restaurant bills wrong. The very same happened to all the other 12 people in my group, so it’s not an isolated case. Front desk staff needs better training.

Willie at valet always went above and beyond to help us and be friendly no matter what. We were there for a month on business and everyday he greeted us kindly, and along with the lady at valet made sure the car was good to go every morning! Martin, Juan, and the lady in the mornings (I forget her name) were also fantastic!! Made living at the Marriott a much better experience.

Hubby and I stayed at this wonderful hotel on Valentine's day for one night.  Upon check in I was acknowledged and greeted as an Marriott Elite member by Megan.  Megan was super nice and went above and beyond to get us a great room with a fabulous view of the bay.  We loved our room's balcony and how clean everything was.   I found a lot of value in the resort's fee.  It included free rides on a Tesla within a 2 mile radius from the hotel.  We took a ride to a nearby restaurant for happy hour and the driver was so friendly. It also included a $30 voucher for food/drinks which we used to order breakfast.  You have to try their breakfast flatbread pizza, it was sooo delicious!!    We could have used their free bicycles but didn't get the chance.  However, we intend to go back again and again to this wonderful hotel with a super nice staff!! This hotel is very centrally located within walking distance to restaurants and shops. I highly recommend it :)

We came to this hotel with a big family of 17. We booked six rooms months in advance yet when we showed up to the hotel we were told 4 of our rooms were already occupied and we were told we could relocate to a hotel 4 miles away. This wasn’t the biggest issue however, the manager (Megan) was so incredibly rude and showed no sympathy at all. She was passive aggressive and condescending the entire process and gave little to zero compensation for the inconvenience. Our family is never all together and for the first time in years we wanted to spend a night together. Megan showed zero sign of sympathy and repeatedly made snarky comments, gave rude looks and did nothing to try and make up for the inconvenience. After hours of negotiations we were able to get 3 of our rooms back. This was an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience and the management did nothing but make us feel like we were at fault for this mess. Even the next morning management continued to engage in an unprofessional way. Truly an awful experience and will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

Dear williameT7270FU, We sincerely regret your experience; we never intend to relocate any guests. Our inventory levels change by the minute due to guests extending their stays, rooms being taken out of order for maintenance, etc. and sometimes we just can't fulfill all room reservations onsite. I'm sorry we disappointed you and I'm sure that was frustrating after a long day of travel. I appreciate you taking the time to share your review and we hope you might reconsider a return in the future. Sincerely, Hotel Management

This may be the worst hotel ive ever had the misfortune to stay in Guests waiting hours to check in, hordes of teens roaming and trashing the place, barely any staff, a thirty minute wait just to get a cup of coffee, tiny, dirty rooms, the absolute worst experience ever Marriot needs to take a hard look at this place

As a lifetime titanium elite member that has been staying at Marriott properties for 30+ years, this is my first review: stay away from this property. The staff is rude and poorly trained, the hotel pictures are very misleading, property is tired and surrounded by construction that begins at 7:01am, broken elevator and your view other than looking out the front of the building will be of severely neglected neighboring properties. Other than being convenient to UoM, there are much better options.

We are Bonvoy Members and were able to get an upgrade using Suite Night Awards. The two-room suite was nice, but as has been noted, the shower is extremely small. Having read the reviews before we stayed, I emailed the GM but got no response. I made three calls (once after the receiver was put down for a few minutes I was hung up on) and got my questions regarding the destination fee, nearby construction, mechanics of using destination fee etc answered and we stuck with our plans to stay. While the person checking us in said nothing about the destination fee, he did say, "There is a card with the keys giving information about the amenities" I would not have paid that any attention except for reading the reviews. Thus I feel like the fee was not at all explained. We ate at the Bistro both days. As you would expect (as most people will want to use the food credit that is part of the destination charge each day) it was busy with a line to place your order each day. Friday am was staffed better than Saturday but I believe Saturday was busier! The prices were outrageous. Bowel of Oatmeal $9.50 ! We requested housekeeping and did get service on both days. The room was clean and they did a good job. However, we did find the room to be quite stark and barren. There was not one wall hanging. (One mirror in an alcove off the sitting room) There were no accent colors etc. One shade of white for the entire room and bathroom. In addition, an electric blind did not work so we were unable to take full advantage of the views and sunshine in our room. We also noted for the 20-story building only two of the elevators work. Based on the reviews, it seems the third has been broken for some time. We sat out by the pool one morning and did not see any pool towels. Later we learned you needed to get them from the front desk. We found this odd. The pool was warm and the lounge chairs were nice. Other family members with us (not Bonvoy members) stayed at the Mayfair house. I was impressed, as they were, by their hotel and the price they paid. It was a great value and also a great location a few blocks away. I cant imagine we would stay at this Courtyard again.
