Personally, I very much enjoyed the unique design of the building, common spaces and room. How often does one stay in a room with curved walls and no 90-degree corners? It was also spacious and the bathroom as well. Furnishings were OK; somewhat keeping the...More
Great experience. Unique hotel, helpful staff, good room with efficient air conditioning and comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom. Well located in buzzy Coconut Grove with plenty of restaurants locally and not too far from university and downtown. Great rooftop terrace with bar and swimming pool with...More

Good Day CaptainTiki,
Thank you for taking time to complete a review. We are overjoyed that you enjoyed the time spent here at the hotel. We hope to see you back very soon.
My daughter and I are here from California to visit University of Miami and see South Beach. We decided to stay here and just love it. The location is great the the staff is super friendly. Would totally recommend this hotel.
Very underwhelming experience.
Though quirky decor and decent size rooms the overall hotel is very tired and needs a complete makeover.
They have obviously spent a lot of money making the business & entertainment areas up to scratch but the rooms and balconies had been...More
My daughter’s wedding was beautiful, because the hotel is gorgeous and unique. I looked at other venues and chose the Mayfair because I find nothing appealing about modern but plain and stark properties. The pictures reflect the gorgeous ambience. But best of all is the...More

I was in Miami only 2 nights.
From the hotel there's lots if little restaurant closed by not much else. During the day we just went to South Beach by Uber (you really need to have it as taxi are very expensive)all the shops are by the beach. You can rent bicycle but they comes with no lock and if they get stolen they will charge you lots of $$$...so we walked everywhere. If you ask at the hotel they have info for tours.I didn't go myself but I've been told that it's worth doing it. Early morning we or late afternoon we stay at the hotel pool and is great. Myself I'm only interest in some sun 😎 🌞
I find Miami a bit expensive.
Hope it helps.🖒

This hotel was not near the beach actually. It is in Coconut Grove, which is a different part of Miami than Miami Beach. I'm thinking it might actually be more like a 20 minute drive to the beach where you actually get in the water. There is a shore nearby where they have boats and such, but not a traditional beach.
Sorry about that! I hope this helps!
