This hotel is one of the nicest in Miami and the staff is nothing short of excellent. Donnell and the rest of the front desk staff, along with the concierge, made sure our stay was nothing less than perfect. We will definitely be staying here again!
Such a beautiful hotel. My fiancé and I booked this hotel a night before our cruise and it was such an amazing stay and bonus to our trip. The hotel has beautiful rooms which feel like luxury and we were even upgraded to a larger room with amazing views. Everything looked fresh and new, we truly loved our stay. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and Andres the chief concierge helped with information about getting to our cruise and helped with printing our necessary documents which saved us so much time. We can’t wait to visit again!
No words could ever express my most sincere appreciation for the Highly Professional, Relentless, Courteous, and ABSOLUTELY SUPERB service I have received from the JW Marriott Marquis Miami's Chief Concierge, Mr. Andres Meneses!!!! In addition to making every one of my trips to this hotel for the past decade the most relaxing, problem-free, and memorable vacations of my life, he has gone way beyond the call of duty, in aiding me in my travel arrangements around the world!!! His counsel and efficiency has saved me time, money, and stress, and even made it possible for my family to get reservations, I could not secure on my own in sold out properties!! He's not only the Best Concierge in the world, he's one of the Best People I know!!! My deepest thanks, Andres--Dr. Stuart Schatz
This is a gorgeous hotel in a gorgeous part of the city, however - some issues. Do NOT come here if you depend on wifi to get some work done in preparation for a vacation etc. Wifi is normally really great at these properties - here it is spotty and you have to login nearly hourly as it cuts out. We chose this property for the basketball court. I have not seen it used ONCE in our 3 day stay. NOT ONCE. We asked if we could use the court - and yes we can for $150 per hour. PER HOUR. Marriott really? You should not advertise this as part of your very premium price/location. I am thinking - you can use the giant space to make your clients happy for FREE or you can have a giant potential space pissing people off making you nothing. I get it - why dont you have rental slots but while no one is using it - let the kids play. We are platinum elite members, and use the lounge quite a bit. The cost if you are not platinum is 75$ per day just FYI. When we went to the lounge more than 30 min after opening - there was nothing. Zero. Food not replenished at all. I booked a concierge room for my parents for lounge access and we got some... napkins and ketchup. People - dont bother. The lounge is not worth it if you cannot be there in the first 15 min of lounge opening. The honour bar is a facade. You have a glass of wine and try to fill out the honour bar invoice that is left for this purpose but there is no pen. You ask for a pen and they bring you a bill with tax, tip, etc etc etc. Thanks - but I would rather just go to a bar. Marriott. You have changed. You are nickel and diming your loyal guests. There is not really any more incentive to be loyal to you. There are FAR better resorts and hotels out there. Loyalty used to be worth it. Not so much anymore. I know that we have been through pandemic hell - but you are going to lose. I am sure that I am not alone. The STAFF however are unbelievably courteous. You have that going for you here. But I dont need to be a platinum member for that - I can seek out other places.…
ALWAYS STAY HERE! We love this hotel. The clean rooms, soaking tub and shower. The wide spacious rooms. Often when our rooms are not ready, they let us freshen up in the spa and watch our luggage. I love the decor of the restaurants. Best Burger. It is short walking distance to Whole Foods, Cafe Bastille, Starbucks, local cafes, Bayside shopping and more. You can even walk to Brickell.
Parking valet is a nightmare. We lost a reservtion and a lot of time waiting betwwen 15 and 45 minutes. Every time they make excuses. We ask for car in advanced by phone but never came in time. They said to ask 15 minutes before. Valet really goes when they have a car to park the other way.
I am Ambassador with marriott bonvoy and everytime I visit JW Marriott Marquis Miami Andreas in Concierge gives me the royal treatment. Very professional and polite and it's an amazing experience each and everytime. If u ever visit this location stop by Concierge and say hello. Of all my Marriott experiences Andreas is second to none.
Took my family here for the first time. We stayed in Miami for 2 days before our cruise. The staff was friendly and kind and knew our names after the first day. Miguel Alonso is an excellent Concierge and was knowledgable of the area and what we needed to experience as a family. The views were beautiful from our rooms. Plan on us coming back.
Nicely located hotel in the heart of Brickell. Room rate was done via work and very reasonable . Check in was swift and allowed be to check in pretty ear which was appreciated. Service was quite good throughout and the food in the restaurant was very tasty, particularly the salmon and rice! Found everything king working well and very efficiently. The only thing for me that knocked off a star was the hotel was pretty tired and dated. The bathrooms very old fashioned as was the lobby etc, if this got a refresh it would be awesome. Also the gym was not very well equipped oh and the noise from the street , I was on floor 9 so could hear everything on the road, so light sleepers beware!!
So thanks to my employer I got a good rate to stay here. From the moment I arrived I was in awe! The service was impeccable and the room was outstanding! The size of the room is impressive. The hotel is right off of 95 so it was easy to access and the area had many places to eat and shop which was great. My new staycation spot! Would definitely stay here again.
