The Hilton Garden Inn Miami Brickell South garners praise for its strategic location near the cruise port and shopping hubs like Brickell City Center. The inviting atmosphere, credited to a fresh renovation and tastefully furnished rooms, makes a strong impression on guests. Hotel is very conveniently located near downtown at a reasonable rate clean efficient with a decent breakfast. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Just keep in mind that parking your car is at an additional fee because it’s a valet only but it’s a very safe parking area.

First off, I double booked a 3 night stay. I was disappointed the Manager would NOT waive the “accident on my part”, so I was charged 1 night for a room I did NOT use. Parking is listed as $30/night, but there are added surcharges. I used the Hilton Employee team member rate, which is AWESOME, but in the end, my $40/night room rate totaled $87/night for 3 nights in a primes location of Miami. Hence, the 5 star review.
This hotel is conveniently located to many things. At the base of the Key Biscayne bridge, we spent one day at one of the state parks on Key Biscayne. $8 entry fee, includes a clean beach and facilities. We took a Lyft to the Marlins game and to Versace mansion at South Beach. The airport is not far at all. U of Miami is close by. It depends on where you’re going, but traffic can be horrendous. We went shopping at a place called Sawgrass Mills, I believe in Sunrise. It took us 2 1/2 hours to travel less than 30 miles. We drove to Key West one day. It was about 4 hours drive, but we stopped multiple times (Florida City, Key Largo, Marathon, Chicago Key). Tia upgraded us to a pool view. We would return.

We stayed here 1-night pre-cruise. It's in a quiet residential area. The hotel has been recently renovated and the decor is very nice. The bathrooms are updated. The A/C is quiet and efficient. It's walking distance from a few nearby restaurants, but not much else nearby. We did not partake of the extra cost typical Hilton breakfast buffet, but there is a coffee maker in the room and there are nearby bakeries for a quick bite. Very efficient and friendly front desk staff. We were on the 5th floor and heard no traffic noise or our neighbors.

We stayed at this location because it was close to the cruise port and they said they had shuttle service to the port. What they didn't tell us was that this is a third-party service, not connected to the hotel. We didn't mind the extra charge, but we absolutely did not appreciate being trapped in that bus for over an hour traveling in the opposite direction from the port as the bus made other stops picking up passengers from hotels further and further from the port. We were late for our check-in time for our cruise. If we had been informed this was going to happen and that it wasn't a direct service, we'd have taken an Uber or taxi. Beware. Never again.

My spouse and I spent a few days in Miami in August 2024 visiting a friend, and we spent three nights at this Hilton Garden Inn (checked in on a Saturday and checked out on Tuesday morning). Overall, the hotel was okay... nothing too special but it was acceptable enough.

We had gotten off a cruise ship earlier on Saturday, and we were very happy that a room was available for us when we arrived at the hotel at a little after 11:00 a.m. (That was great because we were able to get settled before going to see our friend.) Our room (#132) was clean and comfortable, and it provided direct access to the outdoor pool which was nice! The room was a bit small, though.

We did not partake of the breakfast at the hotel, so I'm not able to speak to that at all. However, one evening, we did have a few drinks at the bar and we enjoyed the bartender that served us.

One aspect of the hotel that I didn't care for was the fact that parking was valet-only (no self-parking was available). I'm generally not a fan of valet parking and try to avoid it when I can. I couldn't avoid it here.

Overall, we were reasonably satisfied with this hotel.

This is not a great hotel. The rooms are very dark as they only use lamps and not ceiling lights. There are no glasses in the room so if you bring a bottle then be prepared to drink from a paper cup. The showers are terrible for the environment. Each day I had to run the shower for 10 minutes prior to any luke warm water appearing. The location is awful. There is nothing in the immediate area for food or drink. Seriously - find somewhere else.

Dear Sir/ Ma'am, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your stay with us. During COVID times we remove all silverware and glassware and replace them with plastic or paper cups for all guest safety. Also, we do have food and drink areas near the hotel. There is also a free trolley across the street from the hotel that'll take you all over Brickell and more! I sincerely apologize for falling short of not only meeting your expectations, but ours as well. Rest assured, the feedback provided has been shared with the appropriate hotel team to ensure we consistently deliver upon guest expectations.

As a Diamond member, I travel a lot. I have become disenchanted with Hilton lately (since the pandemic) because Hilton hotels seem to be on the decline in many locations. However, this hotel was by far cleaner than most I have stayed at recently. The room was very clean and they decor was nice. There were a few things they could improve upon which would not be too difficult - 1. the lighting in the room is terrible. Not many lights and each was very dim. 2. They use low-flow shower heads and the water came out very softly. If my wife was with me, she would not have been able to wash her hair.

First night we found the reading lights were broken. We left for a cruise and returned and asked for a different room and again the reading lamps were broken and the room very dark. In the morning we couldn’t take a shower because there was no hot water. Upon complaining we were tall there was no hot water because everyone in the hotel was using it Even after waiting for over four hours we tried to take a shower and it was only lukewarm. It never got hot. Then when we ordered food, we were informed that we had to pick up the food at the bar as they had no room service. We are at the point of changing hotels but found out since our rooms were pre-paid our money would not be refundable. My recommendation is never stay here. Unfortunately we have to stay here four more nights.

This hotel is really nice to stay. The amenities and people are kind and always helpful. Room, halls, lobby and pool the best. Beds most comfortable, they have the bathroom shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. They have a restaurant and snacks on the permisis.
Little havanna is about 10min. Miami Beach depending on traffic 20min
Personally for me the CONs
You must use valet $30 overnight each night u stay.
No free parking.
There is a breakfast buffet 16.00 per person. (I was with a family of 7😏)
Nothing is near by no stores, restaurants or fast food.
I had room facing the main street. It was busy so you hear all the traffic.
Would I stay here again it will be a No! But it wasn't a bad stay.

Warm Greetings Sherpa, Thank you for such a detailed review regarding your stay at our hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Miami Brickell. As we embrace your positive feedback regarding our staff, bathroom amenities and cleanliness in all guest areas, we will also want to take this moment to address your concerns expressed throughout your visit. Conveniently located in front of our hotel, the city offers complimentary transportation to nearby restaurants and nightlife less than 1 mile radius from the property. Due to the cities limitted parking, we provide valet only on premisses in simmilarity to the surrounding hotels and businesses nearby. In regards to our Breakfast Buffet, we offer a varay of American Cuisine options to our guests all for the price of $15.95+ Tax/Service as part of our Hilton standard. We also offer guestrooms with guest facing views towards the city or pool area, which tend to be a more peaceful location. However, we do appreciate your business and hope to have you as a guest in our hotel with the opportunity to exceed your expectations. Most Sincerely,

I lived 30+ years in Miami to know the crappy service on most places here. I moved to Mexico at the start of the pandemic and had to come back to Miami to finish some pending matters. I choosed Hilton in Brickell because of location, rate and because rooms had balconies. Being Hilton I expected a better experience. Upon arrival check in went well, as I entered the room I noticed no balcony and immediately call front.desk to request a balcony room, I was told they did not had any available while moments before I asked the receptionist if they were to full and she answered not at all. In addition on the same aisle I noticed at least 5 rooms available because the "cleaned" sticker on the door was untouched. My room was the last on a long aisle towards the back.

Upset then I started analizing the hotel, I worked and still do for 35 years at a international hotel.chain on different areas, the current is Risk Management. So I started to notice very very bad protocols or missing protocols on a pandemic
1. Disinfecting foam dispensers are only available on the entrance and the main elevator not in the elevator landing foyers on the floors above or at the back parking entrance , neither at the back elevators.
2. While they do have a Keurig coffee maker, they did not had coffee pods Only tea
3. Saw 3 housekeeping employees discharging a cart full of used bed sheets without a mask or any other ppe on them !!!. Either they all have had COVID or they do not care, problem is if those sheets had any molecules those will be spread.around the property by the staff.
3. Saw same housekeeping staff around the aisles still no mask on. If they dont care.about themselves they will not care about anyone else. Actually the lady that seem the head housekeeper had the mask always down on her chin.
4. My flight leave late so I asked for a 2 pm late check out and was denied saying they were "full" . Parking is almost empty, lobby is empty. I.am now at the lobby spending time here instead of the airport and only have seen people checking out not a single check in. This property would be jumping if they hit 50% occupancy. Rate is half of normal and still empty
5. NO SAFE BOX IN THE ROOM ? That is really a shocker

I plan to come back to Miami Brickell area and this hotel would have been a great choice if treated properly

It is a shame that hotel companies are spending millions to attract guests under this terrible pandemic. Just to be useless when employees at the property are not capable and empatic to make guests feel pampered and safe.

Certainly there are many many hotels in this area , all of them fighting to get business.

For me to come back to this property and recommend to my fellow coworkers Hilton HQ needs to come with a mistery guest and inspect the operation in its entirety as one single.property damages the whole brand.

Safe travels to all
