Clean comfortable and different. DD nice and close. No free breakfast but the place is worth a look. Staff were helpful the rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is hard to get into if your not on the same side of the street.

The Aloft chain is increasingly satisfying for what I need as a business traveler. Has everything I’m looking for without extra add-on fees and employees with their hands out for tips in exchange for services I don’t need. This Aloft aligns with my other experiences in servicing younger travelers with speedy checkin, the right amenities in the room, free coffee and WiFi, simple and modern design aesthetic, comfortable beds, Free airport shuttles, quiet rooms, nice gym and pool, etc. All of my needs were met at a great price with no hidden “gotcha” extra fees. Bravo!

The Aloft is an incredibly nice hotel. However, if you are a serious business traveler, you may find that it lacks. There is no microwave in the room. There is a very small fridge which is in the bathroom, underneath the sink. But the staff at the front desk, the cleaning people, and the overall amenities makes up for anything lacking. I like this place because the Aloft comes right out and says that they are "different on purpose". or something like that. So if you are in the greater Miami area and looking for an affordable and nice place to stay - this is IT. The people working the front desk are very very helpful and friendly. Hats off to Aloft Miami!

When my travel plans changed, Aloft Miami Airport Hotel's ability to work out the complex ravel arrangements luckily did not change, also. This time extending my stay with the hotel wasn't an easy matter because the boss's daugher was in labor, and the two people he turned compensating the hotel over to........one was traveling and the other happened to be ill. Elizabeth, Lorettee, and Nichole at the front desk, all understand this was going to take some extra time to work through. Consequently, I didn't lose my room, and had continuity between my old reservation and making a new one. It's the not so little things, that turn into major events that make traveling both a challenge and a pleasure. Thanks Aloft for your understanding and personalized assistance.

We arrived at MIA late night, leaving on a cruise the next day from the Port of Miami. Figured this would be a good choice close to the airport and not far from the ship. Our flight was a little late, by the time we collected luggage, it was about 11:30 pm. Called the hotel for a pickup - no answer - this was repeated several times over the next 20 minutes. We finally gave up and used an Uber - this cost close to $20, as we had to use an oversize vehicle. The hotel is a fair drive from MIA. Arrived at the hotel - no one at the desk! There was a sign saying someone would be back soon. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come check us in. It was well after midnight and we were tired. The young man who came to check us in seemed offended that I was not happy that we had been kept waiting. Well, I was offended that he felt it was acceptable to leave the desk unattended for more than a few minutes, especially when there were reservations that had not yet checked in. He stated that he had to go assist a guest. Maybe so, but someone else needed to man the desk until he returned. If this hotel cannot have two responsible people available at all times, it ought to shut down. We then found out that the airport shuttle does not operate after 11 pm. People arriving on flights after 10:30 are just out of luck. Not only were we out of luck, we were out $20 as well. The hotel is otherwise a standard issue Aloft - nicely furnished room, good shower, good towels, decent beds. This allowed me to give it a Poor rating rather than a Terrible. I realize that Aloft is not really a full-service hotel, but that's no excuse for what occurred at this location. I will never stay here again. There are a number of Marriott/Starwood properties near MIA - I wish I had chosen a different one. Might have had free shuttle service and not had to stand around in the middle of the night waiting for a responsible person to checkin.

Good Day BettendorfTraveler, Thank you for sharing feedback on your stay at the Aloft Miami Airport Hotel. I am so sorry you had that experience during the arrival process. This experience is not typical however during the overnight shift the Front Desk Attendant may be required to step away when assisting other customers. I appreciate your frustration and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. It was nice to read you enjoyed the accommodation and we will certainly look further into your feedback and discuss with our Team, Your business is very important to us and we can only ask that you continue to support the Marriott family of Hotels as we are committed to you as our valued guest.
