We stayed at the El Governor RV Park and had the best time. The park was an excellent RV park too stay at. Very clean and well located. The staff were super friendly and nice. Will be going back in April. It is located right across the beach.
the rooms were always clean and the location was great. I loved the fact it was not as busy as the normal hot spots and the local shops were family like. I would love to go back again when it is rebuilt
I have stayed here 4 times and can't wait for it to be rebuilt. Many of the places listed on trip advisor in Mexico beach no longer exist. Some are rebuilding, El Governor is. You can follow them on FB. There will not be an annex but there will be a pool. I hope to stay there in 2021.
I can't wait until the El Governor is rebuilt and open for business! All rooms face the gulf and the hotel is on the beach, so there is no need to cross a busy highway, just walk out the door of your room.
Went with a girl friend and loved this place-went multiple times. It is clean and basic right on the beach. Beautiful water and white sand. Pool and patio bar with restaurant. The town has just a few restaurants and bars to visit but it is the town next to Pensacola Beach so it isnt very busy. Quiet and relaxing and they have a small restaurant in the town across front of the hotel that is awesome, GREAT FOOD!
I love the tranquility of sitting on the beach. With this motel all the rooms open with balcony facing beach. My Husband and I brought our own food. Rooms come with stove and refrigerator. If you want to go out for meals there are many restaurants along the beach. Toucans just right down the road this is a great place to eat along the beach.
We stayed at El Govenor for a few days to take a vacation after a family vacation and were very pleased. The rooms are clean with an ocean view. Nice pool area and gift shop. Staff was extremely friendly except the blond lady at the outside bar. We will definitely return.
Nice gift shop and great beach front. However, this is only one of serval options. Next time we will find another place to try. Go across the street to the Barefoot Surf Shop to rent a bike and ride along the beach front road. Great sunset from all the rooms.
We really loved staying there they were really nice people that worked there everyone was really friendly the rooms were very clean the pool was very nice can't wait to come back it was very quiet loved the balcony and the beach was just pretty
The Hotel is good overall The staff is friendly and helpful but the Manager Mr. Wiley is rude and thinks he is all powerful because of his title. Anywhere from 9 to 20 rooms are rented each year when My Club goes there for our annual beach trip. My Club is a Motorcycle club with members that are retired law enforcement as well as Postal workers as well as a Fire Dept. Chief and several business owners and or retired previous managers of businesses. I am a retired Sales manager for a Fortune 500 company. At 4:50 pm in the afternoon last Saturday playing the song Sweet Home Alabama on my bikes sound system and there were 4 of us listening. Several other people that walked by smiled and said the music sounded good, 1 family had 2 children ages 5 and 8 I think and their kids started dancing and laughing. Well soon after this guy with shorts on walks by and yells for us to turn off the music. I walked up to him and asked why. He said because he is the Manager and he says so. I said honestly, that's not a reason that is Bull and the other word they won't let me type in here. He went off on me threatening to kick me off the property and yelling that I cussed him. I said Bull etc in the text that I used it was not cussing him. He threatened me once again and I turned it off and he walked away. That is ridiculous, no one was hurting or offending anyone. His name when I asked for it was Wiley, I guess that is his last name. We have been renting rooms there for many years but we are looking for another place to go to. This guy is on a power trip.…
