Detailed Reviews
This park has a lot of permanent residents. Regular trash service and they supply doggie waste bags. They offer WiFi that we couldn't ever get to work, even on our phones. Some of the residents have "extra" belongings that are undesirable but the park is reasonable and across 98 from the beach. The lot we stayed at was very small, and it would be hard to access if you were new to rv-ing.
To sum it up, no frills park in a great location.

We love the campground and the people who come there are friendly and wonderful to be around they all come from great interesting places but the manager of that park is not nice to deal with she wont give you and assigned spot moves you around you cant plan on anything, very unfriendly toward animals dog walk is small. Needs a better manager more friendly to travelers.

We stayed here for 7 nights in December. Park is right on the main road but at night not much traffic to content with. Resort is part of the El Governor Hotel right across the street and u have privileges at pool bar etc...and the beautiful beach area. They have full hook up sites...Management very friendly and helpful. WE will return...Mexico Beach area is a hidden gem of a small town 30 miles from Panama city....

The campground was very clean and easy to get into even with our 45’ 5th wheel. It is directly across the road from the beach and the gulf county beach that allows dogs is 1-1/2 miles down the road. Check in was quick and efficient. There are grassy spots for your dogs, equipped with waste bags and a can. There’s a big pavilion with chairs, porch swings, and a grill. We had a great stay and recommend it. We will be back!

We stayed only one night in a 22' motorhome, everything was rebuilt new since hurricane Michael.
The rules seem daunting but the lady in the office was extremely personable and accommodating. Everything was so new, clean and fresh, it was like we were their first guests.

I have never written a negative review but felt this one is worthy. We made reservations here. We arrived and there was no grass at all, only rocks. Our site was so small that any type of outdoor furniture would literally be up against the next camper. If you book sites 1 through 40 they are terrible and have no table. Lost the entire money for the entire week because we drove and stayed at Coastline RV in Eastpoint ( nice place).

This campground is excellent. It is right across from the beach. The new grounds look sharp. Once all the palm 🌴 trees grow and open its going to look even more amazing. I have always stayed at EL Governor RV for a while. I was sadden to hear Hurricane Michael destroyed it. However, the came back strong and did an excellent job rebuilding it. I look forward to coming back and staying with them again soon.. The staff is excellent and the best to make sure you have a great stay. Building friends and making memories.

We had a great time camping at the El Governor for the first time. The office staff were super friendly & kind. Quick and easy access to the beach, and the town is laid back without the chaos of traffic and crowds. We can’t wait to go back!

Last time I came to the motel was before the hurricane. The newly renovated motel was fantastic. The rooms were the cleanest I’ve seen in years. The employees were friendly and helpful. Mexico beach is the place to go in Florida. Not crowded and has a good family atmosphere. I’ll be back.
