Our first time at the Park and we could not have been more pleased! Quiet (pardon the hotel progress) great location, beautiful sunsets, great seafood, white sand beaches. Perhaps the best part of the trip is the staff! Tangie is incredible and is one of the most genuine folks I've met in sometime!
The staff is so friendly and helpful. The new bathhouse is very clean and heated in winter. The covered picnic area has swings and horseshoe pits. It is very family and pet friendly. We have stayedher several times. This us our favorite campground in Florida.
The campground was very clean and easy to get into even with our 45’ 5th wheel. It is directly across the road from the beach and the gulf county beach that allows dogs is 1-1/2 miles down the road. Check in was quick and efficient. There are grassy spots for your dogs, equipped with waste bags and a can. There’s a big pavilion with chairs, porch swings, and a grill. We had a great stay and recommend it. We will be back!
Wow!!! Prior to hurricane Michael my family and I were planning a trip to El Govenor. We have close friends that have been several times and had talked us into going. We have bee. to PCB all the time and have done day trips to Mexico Beach but never stayed at El Govenor. After the Hurricane we came for a day trip and saw the damage and devastation it caused. Very sad and eye opening for sure. As soon as the RV park got back up and running we knew we were coming to visit. A short weekend trip with our two boys and our friends and we had a blast!!! The staff is so nice and making sure we needed or had everything and was so detailed with the instructions of cost, set up, etc. Very family oriented i have to say! We love that!!! Quite time was also nice because people actually respected that and with having a small child it’s helpful! The bath house/ restrooms were so clean! I enjoyed using them and having room in there when showering. Only thing i would recommend is that they put extra bench or over door caddy in the two stalls that are not handicap. The only thing we really was not fully against but just didn’t like was the rocks. the whole campground is rocks so walking in flip flops or the kids riding bikes is a little hard. other than that we will be back and hope it’s sooner rather than later. Thank you so much for having us!!! #MexicoBeachStrong Russell and Keree Pack…
This campground is excellent. It is right across from the beach. The new grounds look sharp. Once all the palm 🌴 trees grow and open its going to look even more amazing. I have always stayed at EL Governor RV for a while. I was sadden to hear Hurricane Michael destroyed it. However, the came back strong and did an excellent job rebuilding it. I look forward to coming back and staying with them again soon.. The staff is excellent and the best to make sure you have a great stay. Building friends and making memories.
Wonderful Campground and close to the beach! Super clean bathhouses and laundry! Helpful Staff! Reservation Process was easy and the staff emailed me immediately following our conversation with all the information I needed for my stay!
We had a great time camping at the El Governor for the first time. The office staff were super friendly & kind. Quick and easy access to the beach, and the town is laid back without the chaos of traffic and crowds. We can’t wait to go back!
We stayed only one night in a 22' motorhome, everything was rebuilt new since hurricane Michael. The rules seem daunting but the lady in the office was extremely personable and accommodating. Everything was so new, clean and fresh, it was like we were their first guests.
Apprehensive about older reviews, we decided to give it a try for a couple of nights anyway, and what a treat it turned out to be! Already plan to book for a month next winter. First, the people on the phone and in the office are first rate. Apparently there has been a change in park management. Lots of improvements since the hurricane. The laundry room has brand new LG washers and dryers, and the room was spotless. New charcoal grills in designated areas, well kept dog walking areas equipped with bags and cans for disposal, new landscaping, new hook-up stations. The best wifi we've encountered to date, and the most TV channels. A ten minute walk to a well reviewed seafood restaurant is on the agenda for tonight. And did I mention the beach? Beautiful, clean, very few people (they must have all been in Miami for Spring Break!).…
I have never written a negative review but felt this one is worthy. We made reservations here. We arrived and there was no grass at all, only rocks. Our site was so small that any type of outdoor furniture would literally be up against the next camper. If you book sites 1 through 40 they are terrible and have no table. Lost the entire money for the entire week because we drove and stayed at Coastline RV in Eastpoint ( nice place).
