My husband and I stayed in the Mango room and it was lovely. Megan and Allison are wonderful, gracious hosts. Our room had a steam shower and it worked great. The happy hour had a perfect array of appetizers and several types of wine. The breakfast reminded us of eating European breakfasts from our time living in Holland. There was a fruit smoothie, watermelon with blue cheese and walnuts, then berry crepes with link sausage. For dinner we walked next door to Djon’s for a sunset dinner in the patio with lighted torches. We are locals and this staycation for my husband’s birthday was perfection.
We stayed in the Sunset room for 4 nights. The room offers a small balcony and view towards the river. A sitting area and jacuzzi bath. We were impressed with the service and amenities that they offered. Alison and Karl along with Megan were on hand to offer a warm welcome and suggestions on what to do and where to go. Breakfast were amazing - different every day. There was also cheese and wine offered each afternoon. The small pool and sitting area a lovely bonus. When we return to Orlando we will certainly visit again.
Alison and her team at Seaglass Inn made our five night stay here a relaxing and fun part of our travels through Florida. The Inn is beautiful and the location stunning with small local restaurants within walking distance, beach with sunrise and pier for sunsets. Lovely old Florida feel to a very charming neighbourhood
We were visiting from Daytona Beach as a birthday holiday for my wife. She and I fell in love with this place the minute we walked in the door. We loved the country cottage feel. Carl and wife go over the top taking care of there guest from a very pleasant wine and hors d'oeuvres happy hour to a gourmet breakfast. They are so accommodating and the sweetest couple ever. We stayed 2 nights and my wife wasn't wanting to go home. The overload of antique shops truly won my wife's heart. I'm sure we'll be visiting again .
If you are looking for a terrific place to lodge in Melbourne Beach - THIS IS IT! The SeaGlass Inn on Ocean Avenue is only a few blocks from the Indian River to the west or the Atlantic Ocean to the east! Enjoy your day lounging at the cozily situated pool or borrow a bicycle for a spin around the quaint & historic town! Your hosts, Carl and Allson are perfectly suited to accommodate your every need. Their breakfast staffer Megan is super congenial and never leaves your plate empty between courses of the sumptuous breakfasts served each morning made by Carl who was formerly a cruise line chef! Amanda, their housekeeper, keeps your room stocked with their plush towels in the bathroom and linens on comfortable beds. She can be seen outside cleaning railings and making sure all outdoor furniture is clean for lounging on! Just a HUGE kudos for everyone involved in our 3 day getaway! We would definitely stay with them again and, without prior early evening commitments, so that we could join them for their daily happy hour as well!…
This Bed & Breakfast surpassed our expectations and we are so happy we found this local spot. The room was even more spacious with the loft, the service was above and beyond (thank you, Megan!), the food was scrumptious, the happy hour was so peaceful, and the location was perfectly close to amazing restaurants and the beach. One night was not nearly enough time, but we are so glad to have tried SeaGlass Inn out for our anniversary and we will be back!
This was my first bed and breakfast experience. Just a night away with my husband. The property is very well kept, cozy and private. The room was lovely. The staff was courteous and friendly. We enjoyed the happy hour with wine and hors d'oeuvres in the main house. The breakfast was out of this world. Will make this our new place to get away for special occasions.
My wife and I stayed at the SeaGlass Inn this past weekend, and it was a lovely, romantic getaway. Allison and Karl are wonderful hosts who serve an elegant breakfast. The courtyard is a great space to sit in the shade, surrounded by tropical foliage, or to take a dip in the pool. The Yellow Hibiscus room has a lovely soaking whirlpool tub, of which we took full advantage. It was a quick drive to a beautiful Florida beach, and there are plenty of places close by for dining. The market down the street is a hidden gem--it's the perfect place to get lunch to go. This was our second time visiting, and it will not be our last!
We had such a great visit! The happy hour and breakfast were highlights! Thank you for accommodating my food allergies. Next time we will be sure to stay one more night! Thanks again for a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay in Melbourne Beach exploring the area. The owner and employee were very gracious to us during our stay. Breakfast was wonderful. A definite jewel. We enjoyed speaking with the other guests during the daily happy hour provided.
