Crane Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast is the Melbourne area's only true waterfront boutique Bed & Breakfast, and the only B&B with a heated, full size swimming pool. We are located directly on the water and an easy 1 block stroll to Historic Downtown Melbourne. Why drive to dinner and/or drinks? At Crane Creek Inn you can walk to over 10 fine dining and casual restaurants, and over 8 relaxing and fun bars/clubs - most with live music. Our beautiful, tree-lined Downtown also has four blocks of unique shops and boutiques; from Antiques to Fine Art, Women's clothing, jewelry and more. Our Guests are awestruck by our beautiful grounds, and the serene pleasure of observing the manatees, bottlenose dolphin, alligators, and over 50 species of birds from our waterfront boardwalk while enjoying a complementary beverage (adult or otherwise). Bring your kayak or have one delivered for a truly unforgettable experience on the water. We offer our Guests an abundance of amenities. Our Guest rooms, each uniquely decorated with a tropical, Key West flair, all have private entrances and private baths. Luxurious 700 thread count linens on our Queen and King beds and top of the line soaps, shampoo and conditioners. Most rooms have a private deck or patio with very comfortable furniture for continental breakfast dining or just relaxing with a good book. Crane Creek Inn offers complimentary 24-hour beverage service, which includes sodas, water, coffee, tea, beer and white and red wine (please drink responsibly). We also offer free Wi-Fi; free off-street parking; a free library of books, free Melbourne airport shuttle; beach chairs, towels & umbrellas; public computer, printer, copier and Fax. So say goodbye to the boring and crowded hotel scene, and let Curt an Jeannie pamper you at Crane Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast.

We just spent on day, but had a lovely time. The pool is nice, located walking distance to many restaurants and great view of the river. We watched dolphins, manatees and birds from the deck. The hosts are very kind and fun to talk with. The only thing to be wary of is the trains, they keep running at night even. Not a deal breaker.

Property's Favorite Review
Where to start?. We have just returned home to the UK after spending 6 nights with the most fantastic hosts ever! The whole place just oozes real genuine Floridian charm. Our room was spotless, the breakfast delicious, the grounds delightful etc. Wonderful company with other guests. We could go on forever. However what makes this review so very different is that we were caught up in the Corona virus frenzy, not knowing if we were going to be able to leave the USA. (In fact we were the last plane out of Orlando). Curt and Jeannie could not have been kinder to us. We felt we were with friends in our hour of need. We all know that travel is up in the air at the moment but this place is just so peaceful, if we lived in the USA we would surely visit often. Perfect place to chill. We saw dolphins, manatees, pelicans, ospreys passing along the creek. Within three minutes you can walk to historic Melbourne with a fine array of shops, bars and eateries. Thanks a million Curt and Jeannie, God bless you both and God bless America John and Jennifer Leach UK

Inn itself and Royal Palm room we stayed in are very pretty and well maintained. BUT: Major noise issues. The room shares what seems to be a super-thin uninsulated wall with common area and you will hear Every.Single.Word, including music, extremely clearly whether you want to or not. We were hearing group conversations as late as 9-10 PM as if they were standing right next to us (which I suppose they probably were, just on the other side of the wall). A train comes through several times nightly and sounds its horn multiple times, so if that bothers you, this inn is not for you. Has "private" patio except that the breakfast room has a large slider that opens right onto your "private" patio so that other guests can access steps from your patio down to pool area. Since you do not have a thermostat, if you need to cool the room your only option is to open your drapes & the room's slider onto the patio - but that means clear line of sight between your room & breakfast room. Plus, when we opened our slider to cool off the room sometime after midnight, we discovered that peppy Muzak plays from outdoor speakers apparently all night long. Not restful, to say the least. Drapes also let lots of light into the room, so if you want to sleep late I wouldn't choose this room. The hosts do not mask, even when the guest is wearing a mask, and check-in is not socially distant and does not minimize contact with shared items like pens.

Arrived a little early and we were warmly welcomed by Jeannie and Curt. Immediately felt at home since the house is immaculate and furnished beautifully! (Wish I had taken pictures inside, but just check out their website). I was meeting family from Orlando so we decided to meet each other halfway and decided Melbourne would be the place! Couldn’t have come up with a better option! Our rooms, the Ida Mae and Melbourne each distinctive in decor, both had outdoor patios. The Ida Mae, perfect for sit down breakfast, lunch or dinner; the Melbourne situated with a riverfront view was perfect for drinks and catching up which was exactly what we wanted to do! Quiet, serene and truly a perfect, picturesque setting. We did take a dip (2 hours) in the heated pool and finished the night off with a quick walk to a nearby Cuban restaurant where we purchased take-away appetizers for four! Visit was way too short! Have already told all my family and friends. Highly recommend it!

We spent four nights in Marigot. As so as I opened the door I could tell how spotless the room was. It was as clean as could be and smelled delightful- sometimes rooms have that smell of humidity but this one did not. While we didn’t use the kitchen it was well appointed. The king size bed was very comfortable. Very pretty furnishings. The inn and property are very well kept. I spent a lot of my time enjoying watching fish and birds from the Adirondack chairs along the water. My husband said the pool was delightful. Couldn’t ask for a better location-on the water but away from the crowds and one block from great restaurants.
