    Fabulous stay in Marco Island!
We had a one bedroom oceanview suite and were so happy with the accommodations! The private balcony was wonderful for breakfasts with an ocean view and also for sitting in the evening with a glass of wine. Definitely get the oceanview room on a higher floor - well worth it! Debated between this resort and the JW Marriott and we were glad to have the kitchenette and living area in this room vs just a hotel room. And the bathroom is very large; long counter with 2 sinks. Only thing small is the shower but was ok. Kitchen fridge is a smaller size but plenty to hold drinks, snacks and breakfast items. We ate breakfast in room every morning with a few things picked up from Publix and a trip to Empire Bagels as well (highly recommend). Best part of resort is the location right on the beach and the short walk out to the beach chairs (with no additional cost). We went down first thing every morning and the attendants set us up with chairs and towels and we tipped them. This service at other resorts costs $25-30 so we were extremely happy. We ordered drinks and food everyday and were never disappointed. Burgers, tacos and Kale salad were delicious! Room tip - we booked package with parking and $50 credit per day. Good deal if its still available. Was nice to have $50 toward food/drinks at the pool/beach every day or for room service. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marco Beach Ocean Resort. Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews for helping us to find this gem!

    Nearly but not quite
We arrived Christmas day, checked in & was advised by concierge to let the maid know in the evening we wanted the sofa bed making up. As it was Christmas day, we headed out about 5pm and asked at reception to ensure the sofa bed was made up for our return. Arrived back approx 10pm, no sofa bed made. Called reception, they sent somebody to make it up but like the previous reviewer didnt use a sheet underneath the blanket. All was well until 5thday when we had no maid service in the morning, so sofabed was left out all day. We went out in the evening & came back to the sofabed put away, so again another call to reception 30mins later another call to reception & eventually sorted by an unhappy maid. Other than this we had a great stay, used the pool & beach. The kitchenette in the room was a godsend as the cost of eating out every meal was expensive (which we knew)

    Great experience. Highly recommended.
My wife and I stayed for four nights, after staying for three nights at another hotel near Fifth Avenue in Naples. It was great to experience both locations directly. We enjoyed the one bedroom suite with pool , ocean and sunset views. The sunset view is just amazing. The beach is wide with soft, white sand. The hotel has a designated area, easy walking distance from the hotel on a nice tiled path most of the way, with attendants, umbrellas, comfortable lounges. The Gulf water was too cold for swimming, but we enjoyed long walks on the beach. If that was not enough, the restaurant at the hotel, Sale e Pepe, is just amazing. It feels like a private club. It is ideal to arrive shortly before sunset, and to enjoy the spectacular sunset and then stars from thei terrace. The restaurant is expensive, but if it is within your budget, it is totally worth it. We also ate at Marco Prime, within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, a great experience. We would love to return.
Dear LeisureTravelers_11, Thank you for choosing Marco Beach Ocean Resort and for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review! The “hotel” in fact part of a condominium, definitely didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel, more like a motel feel in the room. Towels are brown and smelled bad. The room felt stuffy from old carpets. There is no telephones in the room, no cleaning, no staff, no one answered the phone calls after 9 pm. The only positive thing was it’s proximity to the beach.

The view from the condo is beautiful with a wonderful beach area. The condo is nice, but could use an update. The condo provides many amenities and plenty of towels including beach towels. I wish the shower was larger and the bed was a little too soft. We still had a wonderful time!

We stayed at Marco Ocean Beach Resort for the weekend with our family. Great location close to shopping and incredible restaurants. The room has a nice partial view of the Gulf. The walk to the beach is short and they provide umbrellas and chairs for you. Crystal clear shallow water was perfect for relaxing and playing with our kids. Will definitely be back!

This place needs some help. It used to be a hotel? Or parts of it still are and some are condos now? I'm not quite sure, but it is very careworn and the whole place smells like a sewer every morning. It needs a good refurb and I think because there is an active litigation issue that won't be happening any time soon. Also, on our last day there was filming or something and they kept stopping us and making people wait so they could finish things and it was very frustrating. There are better choices so I wouldn't stay here again, especially for the price

The amenities listed are not currently available due to a change in ownership, but the hotel is very nice and the staff at the front were always friendly and helpful. It was quiet, clean and very relaxing. If you book I would directly to hotel website and not Vrbo. You get complimentary beach chairs, towels, valet parking and even a beach bag or cooler, if you forgot yours. Great location too! Convenient to restaurants & shops that you can walk to in 5 mins.

We chose this hotel to enjoy a family vacation and we decided to go to the beach, when we arrived the first day we asked for 4 chairs to enjoy the wonderful weather, the man with the umbrellas only wanted to give us two chairs and 1 umbrella, we were 4 people, this person was very rude and disrespectful to our family, then this man approaches us and asks us for money in exchange for the other two chairs that we need, in a few words he was bribing us and told us very rudely that if we did not give him money for the chairs we had to leave the beach. This man is Haitian. If you ever see him when you visit the hotel, don't be bribed by him. I'm not coming back to this hotel. I had a terrible experience.

This is NOT a resort. It is NOT a hotel. This property has become a collection of condos in need of renovation. Further, if you do not rent one of "Tom's rooms" you are literally locked out of certain amenities, such as chair and umbrella service on the beach. They do not tell you this when you reserve, so my family of 5 was literally kicked off the beach after 90 minutes after they had set us up with chairs and umbrellas, only to realize later we had the "wrong color towel" - literally. DO NOT STAY HERE

WARNING! this is not a resort, this is a dilapidated condo building without service and amenities. (I use TripAdvisor all the time, and I’ve literally never left one single negative review but this place is BAD!) Just trying to save you some trouble as we paid $500 for an out of date room with what was advertised as a garden view, but was actually a literal dead garden with brown grass and garbage in it! This security bolt on the front door was sawed off, so you cannot safely keep your room for being accessed because again this is not a hotel! No towels at the pool, when we walked down to the beach bar to get a bite they were closing early and explained to us that they stay open for club members but not guests which makes sense because again, this is not a hotel! No working telephones in the room and there are telephones in the hallway without dialtone’s. Every time we asked about some thing we were kindly told that’s because this is not a hotel. This is a private condo and it’s not being advertised as such upon booking. It should be run as an Airbnb with upfront information that you were renting a private space and ample amenities, such as linens for the spare bed, towels in the kitchen, etc.. of course, if it were an Airbnb, it would be reviewed accordingly and the reviews would likely reflect the lack of quality of the condo building itself the amenities provided service, etc. I have added ample pictures make sure to check them out. This is what this place really looks like —just so you know before you book. Obviously, Marco beach is beautiful. There’s a JW Marriott just steps from here which is where we ended up eating. Book there instead!

Stay far away from Marco Beach Ocean Resort and Vacasa! We made the horrific mistake of staying there for a wedding. We smelled cigarette smoke on Thursday late afternoon when we checked in, but we weren't sure where it was coming from. And we were tired - so we decided to address the issue the next day. On Friday morning, the smell increased dramatically. We investigated and figured out that the smoke was pouring in through the door between our room and an adjoining room. 8am Friday morning - we reported the smoking issue for first time via text to Vacasa. We were assured, in writing, that they would resolve the issue. We had a 6-month-old baby in the room, so we were concerned about the smoke. The smoke also caused my wife's allergies to flare up. We left that morning to spend a day at the beach with friends Around 5pm that evening, we came back to our room and noticed that the tenants next door were still smoking -- filling our room with smoke. I went down to the front desk around 5:30 pm. I learned that nobody from Vacasa had contacted them AND that the building had a policy of not confronting guests over things like smoking or noise complaints. They recommended that I call the non-emergency police line to file a complaint. I called the police. They showed up and issued the couple a warning. The couple admitted to smoking in the room - and I confirmed with the officer that this was captured in the police report. I then called Vacasa and spoke with a rep named Patricia. She told confirmed that Vacasa did not contact the building as they had earlier promised. I told her I wanted to be relocated, as our apartment was filled with smoke. She said she filed a ticket for relocation and that someone would call me in 15-30 minutes that night. I never received a call that night. Then the next morning, Saturday, I called Vacasa again. I again told them I wanted a relocation. They confirmed with me that Patricia had NOT submitted a relocation ticket the night before. They then told me that they were submitting the ticket for relocation and i would get a call in 15-30 minutes. I gave them my cell number. After about an hour, they called my wife (not me). She was a bridesmaid in the wedding that day - so she couldn't take the call. She gave them my cell and told them to call me. They never did. I called Vacasa again around 12:30 to tell them I still hadn't heard from the local manager about the relocation. They asked me if I wanted a relocation still - I declined because I had to go to leave for a wedding service at 1pm. They offered to escalate me to a manager which I again declined because I had to leave for the wedding. I'll add a few thoughts: - The listing promised certain amenities that were not available because Vacasa is currently in a contentious legal dispute with the new owner of the building, Tom Dunneford. - Tom Dunneford purchased 22 units about 6 months ago - after which Vacasa and Tom entered into a vicious legal dispute - The listing was for a room and a building that were smoke free. That was not delivered on. We had smoke entering our room through a door into an adjoining room - Overall the central customer service from. Vacasa was ATROCIOUSLY BAD The service from the local manager named Debby (who we never met or talked to except through some brief texts) was equally appalling - My wife had allergies the whole trip because of the second and thirdhand smoke. And we had a 6-month-old baby in the room. Vacasa showed zero compassion for our predicament. - Buyer beware - they have terrible reviews generally, and specifically on BBB. We only rented through Vacasa because the wedding party had reserved a block through them.

The one working elevator was quite slow and other was out the entire week. Not a big deal in isolation, but it's reflective of broader dysfunction. Amy perpetual reminder of brokenness with no plan for improving is a bad sign. Similarly bad, an apparent dispute between ownership interests has some features of the former hotel unavailable. You'll feel this the moment you enter and see the management team at a makeshift greeting table with the entire welcome desk dark and unused. These are the only two examples worth sharing, but this condition applies across the property. That said--folks are nice and the view is lovely.
