This resort is still top of their game even during Covid! It’s beautiful, fun, serene and classy without being stuffy. The rooms are beautifully decorated, great bathrooms and beds very comfortable. I have recently had surgery that makes sleeping difficult and I slept so well here! The private beach is great. What makes this hotel special is the beachfront as well as the very well trained and amazing staff. Gracious, helpful, friendly but not too:) whoever does there hiring and training is a genius. Such a restful and needed break from our brutal last 10 months in NYC. We travel often in regular times and this is my favorite spot by far for a variety of reasons but ease and grace would be the primary reasons. Thank you Eau!

Club lounge, spa, room, view, ambiance... all amazing! Service, not so much. My best friend and I live in Miami and decided to make reservations here for our staycation. I’m a behavioral therapist and she is a teacher, so a little relaxation was needed. We reserved a room on the club level and added the girls getaway package. Upon check in, the valet and bellmen were pleasant and accommodating. We were escorted to the front desk where we met Logan who gave us a warm welcome and offered glasses of champagne. We were shown to our room (422) which was comfortable, spacious, and perfect for our stay. On our first night, we sat in the main area and took a look at the menu for Stir Bar & Terrace. We were looking for more than just small plates or finger food, as we decided to take a look at the menu for Temple Orange. We were greeted by the hostess and asked to see a menu. After taking a glance at the menu, we decided that we’d have dinner. After being seated, our waiter, Ahmed, introduced himself. Our margaritas were bitter, so we sent them back. After being remade, the taste was not much better. We ordered the meatballs for our appetizer, and we ordered the seafood scampi and the linguini and clams for our entrees. The meals were well prepared, although my meal was no longer ‘fresh’ by the time I was finally able to get the attention of our waiter. Service was very underwhelming. There were about four tables seated in the restaurant, including mine, so it wasn’t at all busy. The waiter catered to a table that held a group of about 7 people. He did not check on us after receiving our order until he was called over, nor did he have the common decency to maybe have another waiter or one of the gentlemen assisting with water or removing plates to come as attend to us. I waited to gain his attention from across the room. We made eye contact and I politely waved him over. Even then, he did not come to the table, he went back the large table and engaged in small talk. After leaving the larger table I again tried to wave him over and he did not even look in our general direction. As he made a b-line for the kitchen I had to say “excuse me” twice to gain his attention. I asked for the items I would like (olive oil, a plate for the clam shells, and a spoon) and his facial expression and demeanor showed that he was not at all pleased to oblige. He did not provide a small plate or bowl for clam shells when the meals were initially placed on our table, nor did he provide any olive oil or a spoon for my pasta when the meals were first placed. He was very inattentive and uninterested. I’m not sure if it was our outward appearance; because we were younger than the other guests in the hotel and he felt that we didn’t require being attended to, or what the reason behind it was. Dinner at Temple Orange certainly left a bad taste. We decided that we wouldn’t have dinner on the property for the duration of our stay, which was too bad since we were looking forward to having dinner at Angle the following night. Thank you Marline (Club Lounge) for being a ray of sunshine at breakfast. Myrna (Club Lounge) was very attentive and is such a sweet soul. She was kind enough to get me a blanket as I sat in the lounge and felt a bit chilly (as I usually am regardless of location). The Club Lounge concierge, Kingslan (I hope I didn’t butcher the spelling of his name) was amazing. Very upbeat and entertaining each time that we saw him. He was usually walking about the club or seated at his desk making sure that everything was in order. We’d like to thank Karen for assisting us with our daybed on the beach. She was not aware of what was or was not included in our package (Girls Getaway) but she was kind enough to offer to walk over to the front desk to look into it. She returned stating that she spoke with someone at the front desk and was informed that the daybed was not included in our stay. I asked who she spoke with and I was told that she spoke with Igor. Karen apologize and I thanked her for looking into it for me. My friend and I walked over to the front desk and asked spoke with Igor. He reiterated what Karen had already reported to us. I showed Igor the email with my reservation confirmation and well as the webpage listing what was included in the package, even then, he still had to get an approval from a manager over the radio system. He then stated that he’d inform Karen that the daybed was included and my friend and I returned to the beach area. Thank you Wesley for getting us set up on the beach. I was assisted by Estrella at check out. She printed my bill and I notice errors on the bill. I was charged for the daybed. I explained to her that it was included in my package. She checked the computer and stated that it was not. I kindly showed her the items listed on my emailed reservation and she removed it from the bill. The bellmen who assisted us with our baggage during our stay were ALL very polite Ave helpful. It might be helpful for management to assure that staff members are aware of what is included in packaging that you offer. If something is being offered in separate areas of the hotel, it would be very helpful for the staff members in those areas to be made aware of things being offered from their area.

I’m so glad I chose this property to help me plan the engagement she deserved.   Thank you so much for everything. The entire stay was like a dream – we both felt totally removed from reality and in pure perfection. The hotel and the entire team are a true testament to the power of hospitality.   From Reginald at the beach, to Genifer with a ‘G’, John and Rick at the bell stand, Logan at FD, special shout out to Alex at Room Service! Natalie at the pool, and everyone else in between.   We will DEFINITELY be back. Demi and I have begun a relationship with your property that I hope lasts as long as we do 😊   Bests to the whole Eau family – until next time,   Adib Shadid

We stay at a lot of really nice hotels, and have experienced remarkable care and attention most of the time. But the Eau is a whole other level of service. The team, from the valet to the general manager -- and everyone in between-- are so well trained, so helpful and so darn nice, it made a beautiful resort in a great location exponentially better. And you HAVE TO go to the spa. Trust me. Thank you, Eau Team.
