A local shopkeeper told me about the Unity House when I asked about accommodations. I walked over and called the number on the front sign. The most delightful woman answered, beginning what was to be a lovely experience. Linda invited me in and gave a tour of the downstairs and then my room upstairs. I told her when I’d be back and everything was ready when I arrived.
Linda was warm, hospitable and helpful. I told her I was heading out for my dinner and she said I was welcome to use the enclosed porch when I returned. She checked in on me while I had my dinner but was not intrusive at all.
The room was excellent. The bed was comfortable and I slept deeply. I loved the spacious chaise lounge where I spent a pleasant evening curled up with a book. The attached bathroom was fine and pristine. It was incredibly quiet except for birdsong in the morning.
My breakfast was included and was outstanding. It started with a bowl of fresh fruit that Linda had prepared. Next was a delicious slice of warm banana bread slathered with a honey butter. This was followed by a plate with eggs, bacon, and toast. Linda brought me a jar of a delicious jam - peach, bacon and amaretto. I skipped the juice but did have several cups of freshly perked coffee.
The house is warm and inviting as is the host. The price was lower than the motels at the highway exit. I look forward to my next visit!

This was a great experience! The house and rooms are adorable and just a stone throw away from restaurants and shops. I will definitely stay here again. The bed was so comfortable the shower had great pressure. Linda made sure that I had everything I needed and more. She was also very accommodating with breakfast when I had to leave a bit early. The food was delicious. Best place in Madison, Fl. To stay.

I chose the Unity House for an overnight trip to Madison. What a delightful surprise. Linda's home is elegantly appointed and my stay in the Carter Room was wonderful. Breakfast was truly gourmet - fresh fruit, freshly baked banana nut bread with salted butter, scrambled eggs, grits, sausage and warm toast with peach & jalapeno spread. Indeed a special treasure with an elegant hostess whose beautiful spirit adds the exclamation point !

I have visited The Unity House B & B on several occasions and I am always thoroughly pleased with the stay. The owner demonstrates the epitome of 'heart-felt' service. Although I arrived late in the evening, I was personally greeted and escorted to my sleeping quarters. My morning began with the sweet smell of an old fashion breakfast, including a special preserve with a tinge of jalapeno. The beds are so comfortable and I look forward to visiting because I rest extremely well when I am there. Linda just wowed us from the beginning. When she opened the door we saw this young 80 year old full of love and energy. She had spent the day cleaning. The room was spotless, had a fresh smell and had an old charm complete with a 4 poster bed! What a treat! I wanted to take Her back with us!😂. She politely declined. Do yourself a favour and stay a night or 6 here. It is worth every cent!

Ms Linda is a gracious hostess and the place is spotless!! Try her carribean restaurant its awesome! Food was great and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are home. I recommend you give it a try. Amy the waitress is great too.

This bed and breakfast is the absolute best! The hostess, Linda has truly created a wonderful experience. The decor is charming and you can see the personal touches in every room. The place is spotless! Absolutely clean and welcoming. We enjoyed sleeping in a luxuriously comfortable bed and Linda cooked an amazing breakfast. I stayed 2 nights at the end of December. I was in town for a business trip. When I called to book, I let Linda know that I was a vegan. During my stay, Linda made me an amazing breakfast based on my dietary needs. Linda is so kind and welcoming. The house is beautiful and clean! I stayed in the Carter Room. The bed was super comfortable and the room is very large. The location is perfect. You can walk to restaurants and shops. I would love the chance to stay here again. Linda is a fabulous host!

We enjoyed our stay on the way back home. Linda,the owner,was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The house was spotless and well decorated. Our room had a king 4 poster bed and a walk in shower. Breakfast was fabulous. Banana bread,fruit eggs,toast,grits and good coffee. If you are passing through this area I would highly recommend staying here
