The Unity House was very hospitality and the food was emaculate. Ms. Linda was very nice and accommodating. It was extremely clean and comfortable. I will be visiting again. Thank you again Ms. Linda.
Soft Beds, Delicious Breakfast, Very Gratuitous Host! This property is perfectly located in the middle of Downtown Madison, walking distance to all dining options. A Very easy booking process, Delicious handmade breakfast, and very comfortable accommodations mean that this will be the only place I stay in Madison FL for years to come.
I have visited The Unity House B & B on several occasions and I am always thoroughly pleased with the stay. The owner demonstrates the epitome of 'heart-felt' service. Although I arrived late in the evening, I was personally greeted and escorted to my sleeping quarters. My morning began with the sweet smell of an old fashion breakfast, including a special preserve with a tinge of jalapeno. The beds are so comfortable and I look forward to visiting because I rest extremely well when I am there. Mrs. Barnes-Ellison, thank you for your heart-felt service and conversations of the birth of The Unity House B & B.
Two couples, three of us college classmates, decided after many years apart to meet at a place halfway between us. The small town of Madison, Florida, was the halfway point. One of us studied Trip Advisor listings and found a B & B named The Unity House that had five star ratings in every category! Real estate salespeople tell homeowners wanting to sell that curb appeal is terribly important. A charming cottage with freshly painted shutters, arched doorways and neatly trimmed shrubs will almost always reel-in a nice crowd of prospective buyers. There’s no easy or nice way to say this— The Unity House is a place you might choose to drive-on-by if you hadn’t read its reviews. Outside... it’s kinda’ dull looking— uninspiring. Don’t be fooled! This house became a B & B as a result of a prophecy and the faith and hard work of an inspired person. Be sure to ask Linda Barnes Ellison to tell you how she became an innkeeper, and slow down— it’s a story and a person worth your time. Unity House is a quiet, clean, comfortable place to stay in a pretty little town. (Don’t miss the antique store about a block away on Range street.) Unity House is non-smoking, offers free WIFI, free parking and a very nice free breakfast. We stayed two nights in Madison, and one day drove to and through several other interesting nearby small towns. We’d rate Thomasville, GA, as a don’t miss this attraction. The Pebble Hill Plantation there was jaw-dropping and worth every penny of the $16 home tour admission.…
I chose the Unity House for an overnight trip to Madison. What a delightful surprise. Linda's home is elegantly appointed and my stay in the Carter Room was wonderful. Breakfast was truly gourmet - fresh fruit, freshly baked banana nut bread with salted butter, scrambled eggs, grits, sausage and warm toast with peach & jalapeno spread. Indeed a special treasure with an elegant hostess whose beautiful spirit adds the exclamation point !
