Lake Como is one of the premier nudist clubs in the United States and definitely caters to the ethical naturist vibe without being out of touch from the rest of the world. It is a wonderful property and has every amenity you can think of -- your typical campground and RV park with year-round residents as well as overnight guests, ball courts for everything imaginable (tennis, volleyball, pickleball, petanque, etc.), a 9-hole golf course and driving range (wow!), and nature trails that are truly wonderful to explore. The property also boasts a pool, hot tub, sauna, playground, a lake with paddle boats and kayaks available for borrowing on an honor system, and two different locations where you can purchase food and beverage (we're talking an actual kitchen with menus, servers, and made-to-order food). There is a small gift shop in the reception office as well -- we highly recommend the Butt Hutt tanktops!  There is a lot of competition in Pasco County, Florida (the nudist capital of the world), but Lake Como delivers true naturist values and combines them with modern amenities to exceed expectations. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to our next trip!

We were greeted warmly when we arrived at the resort on a Saturday night. We rented one of the cabins located near the back of the resort. Got to the resort after dark so we did not get a tour until the next day. The first thing we noticed was there was very little lighting at the resort and around the cabin making it very difficult to find our way around. There was a motion activated exterior light outside our cabin but it was not working. Even inside much of the lighting was very dim. The cabin itself was very nice. But the bed was at least ten years past when it should have been replaced and squeaked horribly every time you moved. You could feel the springs inside the mattress. I ended up folding the extra blanket and putting that under the sheet to help make it more comfortable. In the morning I asked the office if they had a mattress pad we could put on it. They did not have one but provided an extra comforter that we put under the sheet as well. That helped some but we both woke up with sore backs from the lack of support. Sunday night we were leaving to go to the store, and my wife fell down the steps because it was so dark she could not see. She hit the picnic table that was outside the cabin and got a huge bruise on her arm. We went to the office to complain about the lack of lighting. They sent someone to look at it but he couldn't repair it because he said it was too dark. Really? The next morning a new light was installed but they never checked to see how my wife was doing. We also had no maid service for five days. I had to go to the office and ask for more toilet paper on Tuesday. Still no service on Wednesday so I had to go to the office again and ask for clean towels. I was told the maid quit but they would bring us fresh towels. They did that but didn't clean or remove trash. Thursday we finally had someone come in and clean. The residents at the resort for the most did not seem very friendly. There were a few that were but for the most part they seemed rather uninviting. Some would not even wave when I waved to them as they went by. I watched some residents playing pickle ball and petanque, but not one person said hi or even acknowledged me. The pool area was nice but rather dead. It was pretty much shaded so you were not in the sun until about 11:00 am. Except for the Florida Young Naturist convention the first couple of days, there was never more that 15 or 20 people at the pool. Beach area is pretty much none existent. The hot tub was nice but not all of the jets were working. We did visit the bar on karaoke night. It was rather old and needed some serious updating.

Nice place, older and can be a little ingrown because so many people live there. Nice rental housing, bar and restaurant. Has a new restaurant and nice but old bar. Bar has no A/C. Well worth a weeks visit.

Visited Lake Como for the first time on International Skinny Dipping weekend back in July. Such a wonderful experience for both of us. We stayed 3 nights in one of the very clean Big T Motel units near the lake. The room was quaint, with the front door facing the parking lot & office and back door facing the lake. Screened doors allowed us to leave the hard doors open and keep the mosquitoes out and 2 small a/c units that allowed us to set the thermostat to our desired temperature. A queen sized bed, pull out futon, mini fridge, coffee pot, coffee table & end tables, tile floor and small bathroom with tub/shower provided the basics that the two of us needed to enjoy a lovely stay. Well kept, spacious grounds includes a beautiful lake, surrounded by woods, highlighted by Cypress Trees and nature trails. Absolutely lovely! We enjoyed the large swimming pool by day and were treated with fantastic, live entertainment and at night the pool was open to enjoy a temperate evening dip. There is a large hot tub, sauna, chipping course, volleyball, tennis, horseshoes and other game courts to flaunt your competitive side. We took a peddle boat out on the lake and enjoyed a relaxing ride in the sunshine. We were invited out on the incredibly engineered, private barge by the owner, a resident and set our inner children free, jumping off the top & flying down the slide into the tannic water of the lake. Enjoyed their fantastic breakfasts in the restaurant each morning, with large portions served, charging the meals to our room. We grilled up dinner on the shared grill out back. The Rec Hall is large and we challenged each other to a few games of ping pong, while others sat back reading, playing board games and peering into their personal laptop. Guest use showers & restrooms are strategically located throughout the grounds. They had a great live band playing at the bar by night, with lots of folks enjoying the dance floor. Drinks were tasty & designed for the party animal within. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful and the locals were warm, welcoming and informative. We brought our own lawn chairs and enjoyed sitting under the Cypress trees, as many others did, while the band entertained us on Saturday. We added two faces for the camera in the "pack the pool" photo for skinny dip Saturday. We met some wonderful people and enjoyed the spiritually of the overall environment at Lake Como. In our opinions, this place is set apart from other resorts because of the peace and harmony we felt, which germinated a desire to revisit this endearing resort again.

Very much a mature, easy going place, yet with plenty of activities.Everyone was friendly. be as you are, no judgement. Took the tour and it was great. I can see myself staying there for a few days or even just for the day.
