I just finished writing a review of another hotel that was over-priced and suspiciously overrated with 5-stars, from my point of view. This review is a completely different story. We chose this place for a family vacation with our children and their spouses, plus a grandson, and were extremely pleased with the selection. You can tell that this place is well-managed, because everyone provided us with excellent customer service (except for one waitress who was a bit impatient, but she was probably just having a bad day!). I mean, even one of the cleaning staff let me into an elevator when I was leaving, and got off to give me room for my suitcase, etc. I regret that I wasn't able to get everyone's names, but some of the wonderful service we received were from people like Marius (spelling?), who waited on us our first night, Rando/Angello/Jim from the porter/front door crew, Greg the concierge, Jacob at the front desk, Elizabeth in the restaurant, and Ryan at security. The restaurants were all good with great waitstaff (although rather expensive, using the "captive audience" model for pricing). I was especially impressed at the service levels, because COVID-19 has adversely impacted staffing and service levels across all customer-facing industries. Somehow, this hotel has held it together, making our vacation a real pleasure.…
Abbie was poolside and just amazing all weekend. The whole staff has been extraordinary and the whole visit has fully exceeded my expectations. Our room is spotless and the perfect size. We will absolutely come back to the Longboat Key resort.
Buyer beware. Their own website falsely advertises promotional prices per night. Even the nightly price on a specific night on their calendar is not accurate. Once you select a promotion, about $150 per night is added to each night not including tax and fees. You don't really know what you are paying until the very end. Other than that, the rooms are very nice, clean, stylish and great accommodations and the beach was wonderful. But it really ends at that. There's not much happening at the hotel unless you golf or play tennis. The pool is very outdated. The outdoor hallways for the junior suites are not lit at night. It is very dangerous if you forget to leave your own outdoor light on, you are in the pitch dark.
We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a beach view, and it was perfect for our family of four. It was so nice to have a full kitchen, two full bedrooms with bathrooms, a washer-dryer, and a large sectional in the living room. The view of white sand and clear water was amazing! The staff all went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. It was also very convenient to be able to text the front desk with questions and requests, and they always responded timely. It’s such a nice area with great restaurants and places to entertain the kids. I agree with some of the other reviews in that the outside of the resort buildings do not look all that great, but once inside, all of the facilities are top notch. We would definitely come here again!
We have been going to the Longboat Key club for many years! We love the resort, and the staff at the pool and beach are wonderful! I would especially like to give recognition to Kelly managing the pool area, Paula and Alex bringing delicious drinks, and Kyle handling the beach duties! All of them are always smiling and fun to talk to! Looking forward to coming back in June! Thanks for helping to make out getaway so relaxing!
Love coming to the resort! Such a beautiful place and the service is exceptional! Kelly was so friendly greeting us every morning. The food on the beach is a perfect! I highly recommend the toes in the water program!
Kelly, Paula & Ania are the best! We spend a lot of our visit around the pool and the beach and they go above and beyond to welcome you and make you feel at home. We always look forward to coming back and seeing them. We will be back against very soon!
Absolutely beautiful resort. From the moment of check in we were greeted by kind and helpful staff. Tim who worked the front desk helped us with any questions we had and also gave us great recommendations. The pool and beach were impeccable. Abbie the pool attendant went over and above for us. We traveled with a large group and Abbie always had a smile and was truly a professional at all times. No matter what request we had she was always ready to accommodate. She made our stay that more enjoyable. It was a wonderful time at Long Boat Key and we will be returning.
A little piece of paradise! We stayed here for 4 nights in a suite. It was just perfect. Small, fully equipped kitchenette, washing and drying machines, large shower, double balcony and the most amazing views!!!(literally on the beach!). The whole place was spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. At reception we met Tim 1, Tim 2, Marvin and Jeff, who were all great!! There are plenty of restaurants on site but also St Armands is a 5 minute Uber ride away and is full of quaint shops bars and restaurants. Highly recommend a visit! On the beach you need to reserve beds and I want to especially mention the lovely Tiffany who took care of us for the 3 days we were thete. She's a little star and made sure we had everything we needed. We used to watch her from our balcony early every morning, setting the beds up on the beach and then take them all down at the end of the day she worked so hard, ( I think we would have adopted her if we could)! 🥰 She should be very proud of herself, such great work ethics for someone so young. We (Paul & Tracy), wish her all the luck for the future, I'm sure she will go far!!🌟 As for the resort, we will definitely be back again!!👍🥰…
Beautiful beach.. Amazing white sands. Great staff at the pool and restaurants. Rooms were nice, had a couple issues overnight, with loud AC unit and pipes clicking and knocking.. Oh yeah, and the 4AM fire alarm that went off and we had to 'quickly' run down 10 flights of stairs.. ended up being a false alarm. But management was nice to credit us for the inconvenience..
