as a kid our family vacationed on Longboat Key in the 50s and 60s. i thought those "old Florida" days were forever gone. BUT it's still alive, yes! at Sun and Sea! we stayed a week and didn't want to leave. the staff was fabulous, the room super clean, shuffle board lanes(remember that?) and we were just steps to the... We found Sun n Sea on our way home to Tampa, FL from Sarasota, FL. We were looking for a resort that had the old Florida charm. (No lobbies to walk through, or full parking garages and no elevator rides to get to your room). Booked a three day weekend for a family get together and were completely satisfied. We... More

Stayed here one night in a twin efficiency. The decor is old, but that's part of the charm. Each room has a screened in porch and kitchen, which is very nice. The owners were very friendly and made a great recommendation for dinner. Our room was adjoining another family's room. They were very loud and the paper thin walls (and... More

Home away from home. Beautiful cottages right on the gulf, very secluded. Managers are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend checking it out.

Sun 'n Sea is the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation at the beach! I just happened upon the place by driving by and was pleasantly surprised by the clean and quiet accommodations and friendly service of the office staff. I stayed in unit #12, an efficiency studio, which had at-home comforts, like a comfortable queen bed and clean linens,... More

I am a 5 year resident of Florida and quickly became disenchanted with large hotel chains. I now search for older, smaller, inns and cottages. This was a great find and having the large oak trees tower over the ENTIRE property was great. The cottage was nicely updated, great mattress, clean and very beachy!! Great price and value for my hard... More

I traveled recently with my family (husband, toddler and baby). This was absolutely amazing. Relaxing, clean and the beach is right in front of the cottage, Of course, the cottage itself is nothing spectacular, but it worked for us. It was a clean, good beds, and a kitchen. Owners were great. Very considerate and made sure our needs were met.... More

We stayed at Sun N' Sea for four nights in April and loved it. It is really quiet and close to the beach. The cottages are comfortable and clean but nothing spectacular. It is definately not a four or five star resort. Although I've gotten spoiled by staying in beautiful all-inclusive resorts, this was a relaxing change. The cottage we... More

My wife and I stayed here for a relaxing vacation after our busy season. The cottages were very clean and the trees on the property add a nice touch. We stayed in cottage #4 and the beach view from the screened in porch was very good. It is just a short walk to the beach and so handy to just... More
