Not for anyone younger than 70 and outdated! We arrived at 12:30 am due to a late flight, pulled into the motel - my husband steps out of the car to an elderly lady screaming at him "you cant park there ...you hear me" what unit are you staying in and then her husband comes out screaming at us. All are retired folks that have been staying there for years and they let you know that you are not welcomed. We couldn't enjoy the pool because they have assigned seats and give you dirty looks (I was asked by a lady why we chose to stay there...smh). They line the beach at sunset together - man says looking at my husband obviously the newbies don't respect their elders and think they can sit anywhere. They don't provide toilet paper, beach towels or clean your room - you need to take out your own trash and bring your dirty towels to the office for new ones. Office staff is friendly but not aware of how the frequents treat people. It was our Anniversary and we made the best of it. Will never stay again!!!

Traveled with family...we have had pretty good experience with opal resorts so felt this would be a great option. Hotel is made up of two sections, original Hilton section(older) and the newer section added when purchased by opal. Due to room type selected, we started in the older section. Interior has been updated, we have a 2 queen bed, 1 bedroom suite which was great for our kids. They could sleep while I was able to get up early, make coffee etc without disturbing them. Room had small fridge, microwave etc. pool was nice and service around the pool was great. 2 beach chairs come with room but they charge for an umbrella. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

All hotel/hospitality industries appreciate guests taking the time to review their properties. This review, however, belongs to another property and not Sea Club 1 - I believe this review was meant for the Zota (the old Hilton) so I wanted to make note of this review so that people checking will know this PROPERTY REVIEW IS FOR THE ZOTA ON LONGBOAT KEY AND NOT SEA CLUB 1. THANK YOU

I love the Old Florida Feel of Sea Club 1. Like the convenience of going North to Anna Maria Island or to enjoy the many cultural events that go on in neighboring Sarasota!. Love the fact they I can just open the slider in my Studio Unit, and within a few feet, I can be at their beautiful pool. Walk a little bit more and I can be on the sandy beach and enjoy the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. I am very pleased with the way the management of Sea Club 1 operates also. Mostly, I love the other people who go there Year after year. They are very friendly, mainly from Michigan, but just great people.

Found this property online. The reviews were great. We decided to book it. We called and the people there could not have been any more helpful and kind. That was when I knew it was the right choice. We spent 10 days, most people who stay there much longer. The unit was very clean, had a great view of the Gulf of Mexico. The management were like old friends. They did everything to make our stay perfect. The pool and area was extremely clean. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Second floor gives the best views, but the units are studio type condos, so good for a couple.
