I love places that are not chains and feel a little throwback-ish. This place was just fine. We Started in one room and had to change because we added a night. We had taken the handicap Room for the majority of the week b/c it was the only one left. Only complaint there was there needs to be a soap Holder in the shower. The next room Was upstairs and have to admit the view was so much nicer up there but you are separated on your porch only by a wooden fence to your neighbor. This isn't bad, and they have lots of types of rooms so just tell Them what you do or don't want and I'm sure they can accommodate you. I was disappointed that the beach swimming wasn't better, but the pool Is great. I only realized the last day that there is property across the street and my son could have fished there , but oh well.... We played a Lot of bocce ball! They have a great court. Fishing guides will Pick you up there. Bahia Honda is close and a good activity. Nice places To sit by the water. Staff was really nice. A Good continental Breakfast with fresh fruit every morning. Coffee makers, fridge and microwave in every room . The property is kept immaculate.…
I liked our recent visit to Parmer's. It is a mix of older lodging, single buildings and multi-story. They are located on a channel that goes from the Atlantic to the Gulf. This part of the Keys has taken a lot of blows from two hurricanes in the past 5 or so years. I'm glad they have been able to complete renovations and stay in business. The location is great for us. There's a sandy beach area, boat docks, and a pool. They were willing to accommodate us by allowing us to book a single room for a few days, then complete our stay in a larger suite. It is clean, safe, and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the water-view porch. They follow local rules for covid compliance, and the breakfast buffet is still available with all selections wrapped for your convenience. This area isn't Key West, for which I'm glad. We plan on coming back.…
just returned from this so called "resort". too bad ratings do not have minus 10 rate. the worst motel 6 room would look as a PALAS comparing to this pathetic place, which is priced as 5 star all inclusive resort in any country. the personal people are rude and not welcoming. the room located on first level is not eligible for more than one person, since queen bed in fact turned to be barely full size. STAY AWAY!
The furniture and rentals were discards from other properties. Beware the downstairs rooms especially, since they are loud when upstairs neighbors so much as walk across the room. What the photos don't show is the large gravel parking lot between the hotel and the thin landscaped strip along the shore.
Second time here, things remain the same, for good reason. Simplicity. -Clean - Friendly staff - old Florida charm - large king bed was (on a scale of 1-super comfy) a 6. - spacious shower & bathroom - Flamingo Room King bed with ocean view - Sliding glass door, windows open, large deck - Mismatched furniture & older decor but simple - Warm pool - Hammocks - Continental breakfast - Cookies in afternoon - Plenty of tables & chairs - In residential neighborhood so nice & quiet - Kiki's Sandbar up the street for good food and live music Simplicity at its finest! -
