We are original owners from 1981. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay during these difficult times. The place is spotless, sprayed every day, etc. It is extremely well run and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of the virus outbreak, so the restaurants and bars a couple of blocks away were very restrictive in service. Since the beaches and bars were closed, the spring breakers disappeared which was fine with us. That being said, we really enjoyed the DBC. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The room was immaculate, as was the rest of the resort. We shopped at a local Publix and were able to get enough stuff to cook in the full kitchen, plus plenty of adult beverages to sip by the pool. The shelves were pretty empty due to the hoarding of items. We plan on returning at a future date, and look forward to another great vacation.

We spent a wonderful six days at the Driftwood late February-early March and look forward to doing it again next year. It’s a great place to stay if you are planning to be in the Ft. Lauderdale area. There are many reasons why we have enjoyed our stays, not the least of which are the accommodations and the helpfulness of the staff, but the one we find most attractive is the friendliness of the people who have being going for years, for some decades. It really adds to the charm of the place.

Spacious 1 BR & bath with large full kitchen and family room; new pullout couch, steps away from large pool with diving board, private beach on Atlantic. Monday welcome with doughnuts and coffee; Wednesday Happy Hour/Karaoke. The attentive smiling staff make the difference. I can't wait to go again.

We had the best time during our stay in early March!! It was our first visit to Lauderdale By the Sea. We enjoyed the "less crazy" atmosphere and are looking forward to returning next year, We feel that we were so very fortunate to have been able to really enjoy our stay before "the world blew up".
