My family and I, a group of four, had dinner on 7/25/20 in the restaurant in the Terrace Hotel. Kelsey our server was great, she was friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the dining room is always perfect. My first issue was while we were sitting at our table, someone who was not dining there was allowed to do a sort of photo shoot. Do this during the hours the restaurant isn't open. Don't allow someone to stand in the walkways and do photos. The goat cheese salad was great but very small, maybe 2 or 3 leaves of bib lettuce, with half of a banana, a goat cheese ball, and one or two macadamia nuts. The meals weren't the quality I expected. My wife had the filet, she said it was under seasoned, and the cauliflower potato gratin looked nice but was ok. My dad said his lamb was tough and stringy, he has had the lamb there many times before and likes it. I had the pecan crusted tuna, first the tuna wasn't fresh. Spring rolls were very good and I don't typically like spring rolls. My dad did say something about his lamb and they removed it from the bill, neither my wife or myself said anything about our meals. I would have expected to manager to come to the table to talk to my dad about his lamb but never saw the manger even walk through the dining room. The menu is kind of boring, the appetizers have some flair, the main courses seems to be boring. Offer a menu that stands out from the rest not offer similar meals.

Spent one night here and would definitely be back if in the area again. The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The valet parking was not operating when we arrived, so we were told to self park in the lot next to the hotel (prefer self parking anyway). Unfortunately, it rained during our stay, but the view of the surrounding area was beautiful. The hotel overlooks a little park that I'm sure is very nice on a sunny day. Only downside to our stay was that we were put in a room next to a family with a very young infant. 1am, 2am, 3am, and so on, the infant's screaming woke us during the night.

I have stayed at Terrace Hotel and it is an okay place to stay. Its location is what sells it. It’s very rundown and outdated. The rooms are like a standard hotel room from any other moderate hotel chain. However, I have enjoyed staying there because of the location. Unfortunately, I will not be staying there again after they refused to honor a rate on their website. I booked (and received confirmation email from their hotel) for a weekend stay. Days after receiving the confirmation email, I receive a second email stating that there was a “glitch” and that the actual price is $60 more than what I had originally booked! That is absolutely awful customer service if you ask me. I will not be staying here again.

I’m a road warrior, so that means I stay in numerous hotels weekly. Am a hotel snob, yes I guess you could say that I am. But when your on the road full time, you have the right to expect a nice hotel with nice sleeping rooms. I didn’t say luxurious, I said nice. The Lakeland Terrace Hotel is supposed to be a great hotel. It’s even listed as a premier hotel property! Yikes!!!! The inside of the hotel is in a bad state of disrepair. The outside looks good, but the sleeping rooms are in bad need of immediate repair. I felt like I was staying in the ghetto. Here’s what needed fixed just in my room: 1. Curtains loose and various areas were disconnected from rod. Also, curtains would not run across the rod with ease of operation. 2. Cloth chair had a hole so big that the stuffing was falling out and the wood frame was exposed. 3. Mattress had the box springs coming thru the mattress on the side of the bed. 4. Pillows cases were too small, allowing 3-5 inches at the end of the pillow to be exposed. 5. The bathtub paint was peeling 6. The carpet was dirty and dusty around the furniture. Leaving a white, dust ring around the furniture. 7. The wood furniture was was very worn. 8. Article placed in hotel room stated that the hotel had been saved from destruction and lovingly restored to period-in 1999.....This must have been the last time anything was done in the sleeping rooms. Hallways and lobby areas are nice and clean and painted, but the rooms, not so nice. 9. Hotel appears to be ran by teenagers. I did not see any adults in positions of authority. Service is so-so, but nothing stellar. I booked this hotel only because that was where I was speaking (at a meeting). The hotel is listed as a premiere property and the website pictures are quite inviting. Consequently, the person that is surfing the web looking for a room, would assume the property will be nice. Wrong!!! I can’t tell you how disappointed I was. Find another hotel until this property upgrades the sleeping rooms.
