The cabin we rent was a converted RV. Very small. Nothing like in the pictures. No planned events, nobody picked up dog waste, no instructions on what to do with your garbage, if you wanted to play horse shoes, pickle ball or scuffle board the equipment was in the office which closed at 5:30 and closed on the weekends. Just not a good time.
A welcoming "home away from home. We recently needed a place to put our travel trailer for our daughter to stay in. After several unsatisfactory calls to several parks, we called Lakeland RV Resort in Lakeland, Florida. What a wonderful experience. Derrick and Linda were welcoming, helpful and got her into a beautiful and peaceful site. This was an emergency situation and they went beyond the call of duty to help us. We thank them and if you want an excellent and welcoming RV Resort, you will be very happy here.
This is a very nice RV park and we had a great view of the lake. Since we were on a temporary stay our site was not the most beautiful spot. While we had a great view of the lake, the ground was soft and not level. This is a community of folks who stay on a regular basis so many of the spots are cemented and have a nice lawn. Our spot was not groomed but did have a cement pad for a patio. We have 4 steps for our 5th wheel and the last step would not go down due to the patio being higher than our steps. This park also has a lot of trees which offer shade but the leaves are constantly falling so many folks had leaf blowers to get the leaves off their slides. This park has a very nice swimming pool and has an extensive library where you can borrow a book. The only Wi-fi is around the pool and there is no cable. I believe you can rent a satellite but not sure about that. While we enjoyed our 2 week stay I have to say that we agreed that there is a lot of annoying noise! There are a lot of activities at the club house and coffee each morning. People are friendly and I believe there was some talk while we were there that soon this park will do away with the 17 temp spots so that it will become a "residents" only RV park. The residents are concerned about temporary folks having a lot of trash around their RV's.…
We stayed in our travel trailer while we were in Lakeland for business. The site was clean and the view was beautiful. Linda was very accommodating, gracious and helpful during check in and if I had any questions. We will definitely stay there again.
We had an exceptionally wonderful stay at Lakeland RV resort. The management and maintenance were extremely friendly and provided all the comforts that we needed. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the bathhouse and laundry room. The landscaping is beautiful, and they are continuing to beauty the resort. We had 2 teenage boys that were thoroughly entertained with the pool, fishing, pool table, and recreation room. We will definitely stay at Lakeland RV resort the next time we visit Lakeland!
I truly can’t say enough positive things about this place! It’s beautiful with custom landscaping, our sons had plenty of things to do, and the staff and manager are eager to please while having a genuine smile and friendly attitude. We have already booked our next stay here! We can’t wait to return and visit with Derrick, Bob and Linda! They are an awesome team. Thank you Lakeland Rv Resort!!!! See you again in a few weeks. It started out well when we arrived Saturday. Sunday a man across the way blasted his car stereo so loud we couldn’t hear each other inside our camper. Monday we woke to the sound of small bulldozers working on a new cement pad a few plots away. But the worst and longest was the chainsaws for most of a day as they took down trees across from our spot. So as long as we left the property or hung out by the pool (which wasn’t open during chainsaw show) it was OK. Functional but not really relaxing.
Lakeland Resort is close to everything. Friendly personal. The cute Cabins that they have for rent are ok, but they don't have a Bathroom... Walking to the showers to get to the bathroom is not something that I like to do in the middle of the night....
Office staff very nice. Awesome heated pool an hottub. Shuffleboard an tenniscourts. Planned activities. Nice level campground to ride bikes. We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. We definitely want to come come back.
We spent two nights here (husband’s business trip). Lakeland is basically a mobile home park; more full time residents than transients. Our site was large enough ( pull through) to accommodate our 32’ class A motorhome. This was the only ‘pro’ that I could give it. We arrived late and could not find within the electrical box, the actual outlet. We attempted to call the office (only number provided) and there was no ‘after hours’ availability and the mailbox was ‘full’. Fortunately a ‘neighbor’ across from us was able to assist us. According to him, apparently this is a common ‘question’: Next...the sewer hook-up: there was a broken tube of some sort wedged inside not making our connection tight and secure. Needless to say... there was some serious odor emanating from the area. Next... there is no cable. According to the front office, when cable was installed for the permanent residents, they couldn’t figure out how to enable it for transients. Next...no WiFi...well...there is...but you pay for it: daily/weekly/ monthly, etc., rates. Fortunately, we had our jet pack and brought our Roku stick. All in all... tolerable for the 1 day/2 nights we were there, but won’t be visiting again.…
