Since they can't have the usual breakfast buffet, staff now makes a hot breakfast for guests to take away or eat in the lobby. The pancakes and veggie frittata were surprisingly delicious, and the staff were all very friendly. My main issue with this property, and I blame not the property but the state of Florida, is that no guests were really wearing masks in the lobby. People were hanging out and eating and drinking and checking in and talking and whatever and all I could wonder is how the front desk staff felt about standing around for hours in an enclosed area with people who may or may not be infected. But it didn't affect our stay, which was very comfortable since we ate in our room.
We prefer Hilton Garden Inns and were not disappointed this weekend. The staff was very accommodating and cheerful, the rooms very clean and comfortable. A hot breakfast was available with some 8 choices. The poor area was well maintained and what we enjoyed immensely was the outdoor canopied sitting area....LOVELY. I also have to say that Paula who is responsible for preparing and serving our breakfast is one sweet gal...she is full of vitality and happiness and really set the atmosphere for a wonderful dining time. Cudos to Paula!!!!!
Spent two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn . We had a great stay. Two individuals that made our stay very enjoyable were Paula Simon who served us breakfast each morning and the Bar tender Kimberly. They both should be given raises...
Great area. Front desk was great. I requested a quiet room if possible (a lot of sports teams were here) & he put us at the end of the hall which is away from elevators. . Hotel is clean & comfortable. I would def recommend.
I booked my annual birthday weekend this past weekend with a well known travel booking company. Imagine my horror when we got there Friday night and there was NO reservation! The man at the desk was NOT nice and didn't suggest any way we could work something out! Finally he told my sister to use the hotel website which she did, for an additional $50 for the same thing! Another desk clerk came over but said she couldn't do anything for us either! The website the guy suggested was not only more, but had a no cancellation policy so we were stuck! You have to get your own towels at the desk, in person-IF you get get anyone to answer the phone! There is no cleaning of your room because of the pandemic, which is fine, but no new trash bags, no trash pick up, so toiletries given, nothing! I have stayed at other hotels during the pandemic and they have found a way to make it work. This hotel probably doesn't care, but we will NOT be staying here next year. It's a beautiful hotel, but the customer service has gone to crap.…
