Detailed Reviews
We have always chosen the Marriott family of hotels when given the choice. We know it is not the lower price option, but we can love the professionalism of the employees and quality of the hotels/resorts. It is worth it. Unfortunately we did not have a Marriott experience this weekend at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. Our son plays travel sports so we are staying in hotel more and more each year. Sometime we just need a place to sleep because he has late games one day and heading out early the next day for early games. It was unfortunate that the sleeper sofa for him was not cleaned and made for a difficult night until housekeeping could finally address. When I went down to the front desk the manger (middle aged) was less than sympathetic and even seemed a little bothered that I was coming down to complain and check the status of housekeeping. It was late and our 8 year old needs to go to bed. On top of that there was not bedding in the room or enough towels for 3 people. The room is designed for 3 people to sleep. The reservation was for 3 people. Is it always the responsibility of the customer to take inventory of items when they check in even in the late hours? The manager offered 5000 points after I said that I was a Bonvoy member and this is not what we expect from a Marriott experience. We are not the type to make a big stink. I did not raise my voice or act angry, but I did need to know how long it was going to take and I did want the manager to see the photo of sleeper sofa. It was really no softer than the floor to be honest. My son fell asleep on the bed while waiting, so I got the privilege of sleeping on the most uncomfortable furniture. We booked the room through the app and we never even receive the points from the stay let alone the additional points the manager offered to pacify. I knew when I was going back to the room that the he had no intention of following up or following through. There were certainly lower priced option nearby. We only needed a place to sleep and shower. We chose Marriott because it is usually worth the extra cost. I'm told that our son will be playing a lot of tournaments in Lake Mary because of the Boombah Perfect Game complex that is located there. We will look for a different hotel for future stays.

Esque Eady was extremely professional when we needed help with the AC in our room at the Mariott. He greeted us with the utmost respect and sympathy. He was extremely helpful explaining the thermometer to us and how it worked in the U.S. Thank you Esque for your help. Thanks to you we were able to sleep extremely comfortable with no complaints throughout the night.

At check in we learned that adjoining rooms in this hotel aren't available as 2 queens in each room. We typically want three in a room, so it was a challenge.
Front desk was very helpful and taught us their definition of adjoining rooms.
Early on the day of departure, Sunday, I went to the in house starbucks. Had purchased over the prior several days with no issue. The baristas had called a manager who had to hold my credit card, letting the coffees I was carrying get cold, because he'd tried all of the different options for rebooting the server with no success. He was new, as were one of the baristas. I went to the front desk and they stated they couldn't just put it on my room because they didn't know how. A friend stayed downstairs and waited for my card. There has to be a better way.

Booked a 8 floor plus corner concierge king suite. Have stayed in many Ritz's and JW's. Checked in and offered a 5th floor corner unit which I did not accept. Room was switched to a high floor which coincided with the $288.00 plus tax rate. I paid a premium for the high floor to get concierge access. We went into the ground floor concierge room where there was nobody but us and a helpful attendant. The access door was unlocked and nobody asked for our room number. Anybody could access. We realized that there was no reason to be there unless you had a need for a soft drink or a packaged cookie with a never ending shelf life. We asked and were told that this was what was available and you get food at the bar. The advertised restaurant was closed. This was at 7 oclock at night. We went to the bar and checked out the menu which was very limited. We went out for dinner and returned to our room. Looking for internet access we called the front desk to complain only to find the phone remote handset did not work. Called a number times for help till I finally got a short and not sweet response from a female attendant that she would send someone. It was now nine thirty I said it was too late, forget it. My wife wanted to take a shower and there was no hot water, which we left on to see if would ever get hot. She decided to shower in the morning when we expected the water to be hot. I got up early to shave and still cold water. Ran the sink hoping the temperature would improve but now the sink did not drain. Turned the shower on and went back to bed checking it 5 minutes later the water started to warm up. We both were able to shower. I figure I paid a $100 premium for concierge access which I received in turn a bottle of water. The corner suite was normal room size and too far away from the hot water source. The bathroom sink did not drain and a portable phone that was dead. A less than helpful female attendant regarding internet added up to a not so great stay. We did receive a late checkout as requested, a pleasant surprise. Do not pay a premium for concierge access and expect to go out to dine. Nearly forgot, 2 bath towels for 2 adults, seriously.

Horrible experience. Great rooms, renovated and clean. Facilities are a mess, as the lobby area is still under construction. I always request a feather-free room before my stays, as I am deathly allergic to feather pillows. Not only was my room not feather-free, but when I requested foam pillows, I was told that they couldn’t get me any because housekeeping was gone for the day. How does a hotel not have a stock of extra items that guests could possibly need when housekeeping is gone for the day?? So when I insisted that o could not sleep without a pillow and needed something, they really were not concerned to try. Sadly, I would never stay here again. Customer service is horrible!

Blondefire1, Thank You for your Valuable Feedback and I sincerely apologize for not meeting your or our expectations during your recent visit. I am sorry about the miscommunication about not having Feather Free pillows during your recent visit. I agree with you that is unacceptable that a hotel of our caliber runs out of pillows during. I am happy to report that the shipment of our foam pillows has arrive and we will be concluding our renovations in the next two weeks. Please feel free to contact me personally at the email address below if you would like to return and I will make sure your pillows are waiting as requested and I will provide your first night complimentary for your inconveniences. Stayed at this hotel for the week to attend a baseball tournament in Sanford. The hotel was modern and well maintenance. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were super comfortable. The entire hotel staff was so pleasant and accommodating especially when I had to ask for extra keys more than once. Lol. Outstanding customer service. And the cost of stay was reasonable! I have no complaints about this hotel/staff! I highly recommend.

Good hotel and location near restaurants. This Marriott is on the newer side and I enjoyed it for a recent business trip. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful upon checkin. The room is modern and light - not like your typical old Marriott. The furnishings and decor were definitely a positive update from other Marriotts. The bed was very comfortable and the feather pillows with large and plump. The air conditioning was great - it can be set to 60 degrees if you are warm from the FL weather. Towels were scratchy or not soft. No free water given. Housekeeping has to be requested. Wifi is good. Hardwood floors in the rooms are great - no gross rugs. All in all a nice hotel.

The hotel itself is very clean and in great condition. Staff is also very friendly. Unfortunately, all night long you can hear all the doors on the floor slamming shut. Doors and walls appear to be very thin. To make matters worse, I was placed in the middle of the floor of a singing convention who loudly sang, cheered and partied all night long. Around midnight, I called down to front desk to file a noise complaint but this made no difference.

Even though it was recently remodeled….. the place is dirty…. floors , elevators , door handles….. bartenders add gratuity without alerting customers so they can get double tipped. Buyer beware. Also, the hotel doesn’t properly process room charges , so you get charged days later for things you may or may not have actually purchased. Good luck 🤦♂️

Spent 3 nights here on business during Covid. The hotel was mostly empty, but it was clean and the room was adequate. I don't understand why Marriotts don't give their Titanium members and upgrade when the hotel is empty.....
That said, they have a coffee machine in the lobby, which takes the edge of the lounge being closed and the hotel location is excellent for finding places to eat. It's also located in an area that offers great walking and bike riding.
Will definitely choose this one again.
