My husband and I got a suite for our anniversary and there was chips under the couch cushion and other gross stuff. The room had not been cleaned and sanitized and was not COVID ready. Very dissatisfied as I am a Bonvoy gold member.

Dcriner1, Thank you for visiting us during your visit to Lake Mary and we apologize for the chips under the sofa cushion. There is no excuse that this would happen at a hotel of our caliber and we have counseled and retrained the associate involved in this unfortunate lapse. As a gesture of our dedication to customer service and for your inconveniences, I was happy that we could provide a complimentary night in one of our suites. Thank you for helping us to continue to improve our hotel operations moving forward. Hospitably Yours, Bruce Skwarlo, C.H.A. General Manager Orlando Marriott Lake Mary Bruce.skwarlo@Marriott.com

Stayed at this hotel while attending the same convention three years in a row in January 2018, 2019 and 2020. The first time my room was decorated in a colorful Florida motif but in the following years the rooms underwent renovations in subdued colors to give them more of a business feel. All three times the rooms were spacious with two queen beds with the renovation including many plugs at the desk and night tables so that 2-3 travelers could each recharge several personal electrical devices. Internet worked well and mini-fridge was appreciated. TV had options beyond basic TV entertainment, such as access to YouTube videos which I use to watch a lot of news clips. Used the laundry room with both washers and dryers working well. The hotel conveniently offered small detergent packages and coins for the machines. Pub-style restaurant food was good at reasonable prices but more formal restaurant seemed kind of pricey so I didn't try it. Shopping center adjacent to the hotel (100 ft. walk) had a couple of affordable dining options. Walgreen's very nearby but still better to take car because crossing the streets at major intersections was challenging as motorists don't seem used to pedestrians. Much shopping in the area with several fast food. casual dining and more formal dining options plus a supermarket in the vicinity. Hotel grounds were very pleasant to walk around with Florida-style vegetation, plants and fountains. Overall, very enjoyable stays.

What a disappointment the Marriott brand hotel has become during Covid and this one is the low of the lows. They have shutdown their lounge, breakfast, perks for loyal members. They room reeked of mold and mildew and the fridge looks like it hasnt been defrosted in years. The Residence Inn, Autograph collections all seem to have figured out how to keep customer service priority. Nothing like waking up the next morning and seeing the Lake Mary police dept. out in the parking lot finger printing cars with smashed in windows in their parking lot. Not surprised that the desk clerk didnt see anything we had to hunt them down to just check in, we did get 750 extra points though for them not offering any services.

Live in Clearwater. Went to Mount Dora for the day to celebrate our anniversary. Not impressed with Mt D hotels so we decided to spend the night 17 miles away at the Orlando Marriott. It was about 20% occupied. Very clean. Nice room. All food service, restaurants, room service shut down due to COVID. Plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from. Staff doing the best they can during a tough time.

We had a 2 night stay over the weekend during COVID-19. Unfortunately we were in town for a funeral. None of the restaurants in the hotel (including starbucks) are open, however they did put a coffee machine in the lobby which was complimentary 24/7 and that was wonderful! Mask compliance was ok...much better than some hotels I’ve seen, however you still have your ones that don’t like to follow the rules. Everything was very clean. We stayed on a weekend and this place was dead. The pool/jacuzzi area is lovely and so is the gym. The staff are very helpful and willing to help in any way possible. There are many restaurants nearby, it’s in a good location. The only reason why they didn’t get five stars is because of the television programming. They have dish network, and they don’t get abc or hbo. My husband was very upset that he couldn’t watch a couple basketball games.
