The Seralago Hotel & Suites seems to struggle with maintaining standards, as numerous guests have reported cleanliness issues, with dirty towels and poorly kept common areas being common complaints. Service at the hotel often falls short of expectations, with reports of unprofessional behavior and inattentiveness from staff. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's central location is frequently commended. However, the overall atmosphere has been described as uninviting, and the need for refurbishment is evident. Guests feel the hotel does not provide good value for money, criticizing overpriced fees and deceptive advertising. Room conditions are often met with disapproval due to their unclean state and outdated look. Additionally, the pool amenities have not met guest expectations, with complaints about extra charges and non-functional facilities.

Is this place as bad as made out to be?? The answer is not a straight away yes I'll go through it as good points, bad points that can easily be fixed (if management gets it act together) and bad points that need immediate attention
Good points..location location location
Front of house staff
Bad points that can be fixed today if they want
Basic cleaning of common area's ie hallways stairs etc as it's not been done the place is filthy.
Basic cleaning of rooms been here a week still not done, towels left outside to be replaced not replaced
Bad points that need immediate action
Certain guests that are smoking weed with impunity
Basic maintenance of the rooms...lights fittings are loose and or dirty..power outlets that are loose
Buy and use a carpet cleaner not just mopping carpets..the residue is left on the bottom of the very dated furniture
New curtains for gods sake
Paint...paint and more paint inside and out
Would I stay here again?? If left as is then not a chance if the management reads this then act .. it could be a great place but its a dump..and it's bad management to blame for most off it...the cleaning staff ( I use the term jokingly) spend most of the day chatting in a group near there storage
Clean the place sweep the common areas every day as certain litter has been there over 6 days
Some one review only state it's great
Don't believe those spend a little extra and go somewhere else only a complete shutdown and deep clean and paint new furniture etc can save this place that has sso much potential..ps 18 dollars per night resort fee is perhaps the biggest insult here

This place has drastically declined in the 5 years since my last stay. The restaurant is no longer open and the fast food grill his a fraction of its former self.
Our first room was appalling we arrived at 2am after travelling 26 hours and just got to sleep. Next morning we requested a change of room. Mercedes on reception was really helpful and we changed rooms after being given a choice.
This room was basic but the A/C worked fine, hot water in the shower, toilet worked as did the TVs and microwave, decent wifi in room too. The bed was comfy
Didn't see any roaches or bugs as previous people have mentioned, though the rubbish some people left in their rooms probably didn't help, with the cleaners removing waste fast food regularly.
The back pool was clean and quiet with some new beds, the pool with the tiki bar was busy and lively.
The location excellent for the lynx bus to Disney and the old town attractions next door earn the extra star
With some proper investment, rooms painted, re carpeted or laminates put in, decent wardrobes and the shower and washbasins spruced up this could be a great hotel and location, if they invest 1K per room they could easily double the room rates, and get the place up to its old standards and gain more customers and better reviews.
This was cheap and cheerful for us and served its purpose, you get what you pay for , but it's a shame the places potential is not being met.

The Seralago is a large hotel - 600 rooms and two large swimming pools. Some staff are friendly, others are not. It looks like a cheap hotel, but when you add the resort fee, it’s quite expensive. A lot of homeless stay here on vouchers. The WiFi is dreadful, I ran a speed check - 4mbs! The pools are warm, if a little dirty. There are too few tables & sun umbrellas, Non of the ice machines work, apart from the ones in reception. Room cleaning isn’t brilliant and more often than not you will have to go and wait in line for towels. Be prepared for a long wait in reception. Other comments are correct, there are a lot of cigarette butts all over the place. The TV signal is poor and very few channels. No tissues or coffee maker in the rooms. The good thing is security patrol the grounds and close the pools at midnight, which means the hoards of screaming kids that are still there get kicked out. The block at the back is being ‘renovated’ basically taking out the mouldy carpet and painting the furniture white! The refrigerators are very small. Our beds were comfortable and we didn’t find any uninvited guests in them. This COULD be a great place, but they need to throw some serious money at it. Oh! and if you book through an external website, when you arrive you find it doesn’t include the $12 a night resort fee!

OMG worst stay ever! Room was rusty and falling apart. Was scary and gross. Felt completely unsafe. Balcony walkway was tilted. All metal in room was rusted like it had been under saltwater. Bathroom counter had fallen off of the wall on the left and their solution was to glue it back on right in the fallen location not even raise it back up and attach. Either that or this was a half ass version or handicapped accessible. Run down is a dramatic understatement. It is unsafe. MOLD

Where to start... To begin with, from the night I arrived I realized what a crummy hotel I was in, but I had already booked for 6 nights so I had to stay. When checking in, the lady and the people in general at the reception looked annoyed and had a terrible attitude towards the guests. When I went to my room, I found the carpet dirty, stained, the light or the phone didn't work, the toilet paper was half full, etc. Naturally, I went to the reception to complain and ask for another room which they gave me without any problem. The second was more decent but the same with several details: the telephone did not work, the bathroom handle did not work from the inside so I was locked out twice, the handle of the entrance door was all rusty and old and about to separate from the door, the furniture old and about to break, the air conditioning filters dirty, the place full of garbage in the hallways, neglected, the lobby smells of humidity or bleach (I don't know what it is but it's horrible), the mattresses are stained and sunk. In 6 nights, only one day did housekeeping go to the room to clean, I even had to ask for new towels and garbage bags because when I asked them to change them and throw out the garbage, they sent me flying. I overlooked all of this, until yesterday when I had housekeeping and I left the room, I went down to the pool to wait for the room to be ready with a backpack, I had my pajamas on and flip flops. I lay down on a lounge chair and a lady from the front desk came to ask me if I would be leaving the place soon (I thought she was talking about whether I would stay at the pool) to which I answered no, she told me that then I should leave the property because I couldn't. I was a guest and I told him that yes I was a guest, he even asked me very despotically what room, I told him which one and he told me that in that case I could stay. Next, I hear a lady on a bunk next to me say "thank you very much" which makes me think that she asked me to be taken out of the place if I was not a guest, then for the simple fact of seeing me in pajamas and with a backpack with my laptop and my important things, they thought I was homeless... dude!?
Obviously I got upset and left because I felt it was an insult. I already wanted to get out of there.
Please do not bother booking at this establishment because it is the "cheapest", because cheap is expensive and you can have such unpleasant experiences that I know happen to most people who stay in this place. For some reason, it only has 2 stars in the reviews and should even have less.

Please folks do yourself a favour and stay well away from this hotel, it is absolutely disgusting!
When we arrived we were told that there was no housekeeping so if we needed clean towels or bedding the next day we would have to collect them from reception between 8-9am.
When we entered the room the smell was over powering, absolutely disgusting. The bedding and towels were far from white, more of a greyish brown colour. The carpet was filthy and the furniture was old and falling apart. The bathroom should have had hazard warning signs not to enter it!
We were also charged $13.66 for resort fees per night which consisted of wifi, parking and use of swimming pool (which was closed).
This certainly is not a resort, IT IS A DUMP!!!

We will never go back! We paid twice the ‘fees’ because trivago charges them, and so does the hotel. No matter how stubborn you may be, nothing to do and it’s non-refundable. What was refunded upon departure is the security deposit. So, from the price posted on trivago, we went from $30 a night, to $500 for our 6 nights...
Well, at supposedly $30 a night, we didn’t expect too much, but returned at $500, let’s say we have a big heart! Don’t trust the pictures, believe me, they show the 3-4 bedrooms no worse than they have, but you won’t get that!! No, no! You will have furniture that has lived well, broken in places, that stand up in fear, a carpet that must be 100 years old, a small fridge that you try to adjust but freezes everything in its path.... a correct microwave and a bed whose bed base is broken, so you try to sleep without rolling on the floor!!! And since once paid we can not have a refund, the receptionist tells us after the pool was no longer working... we went to this place because of the pool that was well drinkable in the photos!!! We arrived before the children to relax before going to our airbnb (which is wonderful by the way). Ouf!!! And a chance that there are restaurants and grocery stores nearby, because the restaurant at the complex was closed, as well as the supposed bar. Also, don’t look for ice based on the map, the only place where there is ice is at the front desk.
Well, the positive: Beautiful and clean reception, I would have liked to sleep there 🙄, and the staff is still kind.
DON’T GO! Waste your money elsewhere!!

Arrived at 11pm, looking forward to two weeks of fun and relaxation. By 11.15pm those hopes were dashed. The room had clearly not been cleaned in a LONG time. Dried urine stains on the toilet seat, mould on the walls, security latch missing from the entrance door, filth and grime everywhere, and a microwave oven that should have been binned years ago.
Next morning we asked for a different room, was made to wait until 2pm before given a room that was barely any better. After 3 more nights we both started to suffer health issues (asthma, coughing) so requested another room. This next room was, at best, fit for human habitation, but still extremely disappointing.
The pool bar only opens 4 nights a week, has no draught beer, and even ran out completely on one occasion.
Housekeeping is not available, unless you phone reception between 8am and 9am and request for the following day.
The indoor bar and cafe are both shut with no indicatio0n of them ever re-opening.
Buildings in terrible state of repair.
The ONLY good thing about this hole is the barman, Rizzo, who works hard to entertain his few guests, despite such terrible working conditions (he even went out and bought stock with his own money so they had some beer)
Please, please, please do not even entertain the thought of staying at this disgusting place.

This place is run down and disgusting! The rooms are filthy, lamps falling off walls, dry rot, mold in the bathrooms. Completely gross. There are no amenities as advertised either, no food, no bar, no tiki bar. The pool is open but they do not provide towels. They do not provide housekeeping services, I was told to request it, but when I did I was denied. When requesting towels I was often told they don't have any. We checked out early and stayed elsewhere, DO NOT STAY HERE.

First of all let’s start with the check in process. There was just one lady that was working at the front desk. She was working extremely hard to accommodate the long line. Once I was checked in, it took me 30 minutes to actually find my room. I kid u not because there was also a Pizza Hut delivery person who is having a difficult time trying to deliver his pizza to a certain room. The map wasn’t clear enough, so very nice security guard actually got on his golf cart and took me directly to the building I needed to be in. The problem is it should be this difficult directions should be very user-friendly if the hotel area is that big. Once I got into the hotel, there was mold on the walls and even inside the microwave oven and the toilet. In addition to that the air conditioner wasn’t working, so I had to go back to that lobby again after a long drive. Once again the lady was nice enough to switch me over to another room but that was horrible as well except the air conditioner was working. Don’t expect to find any tissue boxes because there isn’t any so you’ll have to use the toilet paper to wipe your face. As far as money is concerned be ready to get charged with an unexpected fee called the resort fee. The hotel rooms are very old, but I will let the pictures speak for themselves I’m going to upload a couple right now.
