Vacation Village at Parkway garners praise for its generous amenities and convenient location close to Disney parks, yet some guests have called out the need for renovations and a refresh in decor. The spacious rooms are a hit among many travelers, but others point to signs of wear and varying levels of cleanliness. While the hotel's value is acknowledged, unexpected charges have been a sore point for some.
Despite a generally friendly and attentive service, a few travelers experienced occasional lapses in responsiveness. Additionally, traffic noise has been noted as a disturbance by guests seeking a restful night's sleep.

Detailed Reviews
When you’re flying into Orlando from Canada On New Year’s Day all you really want is warm weather and sunshine.
What was fantastic is the vacation Village at Parkway also provided a comfortable quiet spacious clean room on the six floor with full view of the pool and screened in balcony. We loved it.
When we checked in we didn’t really feel like we were at a hotel as the service was minimal but once in the room we were completely pleased with the room its amenities and the location. Our room was on the six floor and was noise-free at all times. A shuttle service is provided to Disney attractions yet we had rented a vehicle and conveniently parked it in the lot Outside our room and a mere 15 minute drive to outlet stores the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios.
There is a Publix kitty corner from the hotel (drive distance) offering all groceries and alcohol and we ate at restaurants including Logans Longhorns and Chuy’s. All recommended to you by me!
The pool facility was clean and towel service provided and the poolside hotdogs are two for five dollars with all the condiments you can imagine: a great deal.
Lovely staff at the pool.
I would definitely return.

Vacation Village at Parkway is our home resort, as we own a timeshare. We absolutely love bringing our children here. Even though I didn’t need to, I thoroughly cleaned our room upon arrival with the COVID-19 pandemic. I didn’t need to though because everything was exceptionally clean! It just made me feel comfortable knowing that everything was disinfected. We almost always visit during the summer because I teach during the school year, and it was significantly less busy than usual because of the pandemic (see pictures of two of the pools below).
We felt extremely safe with the mask requirements and observing staff following those requirements. We used grocery pick up at nearly Aldi ($1.99 fee). We were able to cook in our room, spend time with our family, do outdoor activities (like putt putt golf), and swim in the pools or relax in the hot tubs.
We did have an incident in the pool at our building (18/19) with another guest on Friday 7/24. Whoever the pool attendant was that evening, he was extremely professional and helped us resolve the issue right away. The security guard that he called and referred to as “Chief” also came to ensure safety, even though the issue was resolved before he arrived. We appreciated both of their quick and attentive responses! We will continue to visit as frequently as possible. We had a fantastic week ☺️

Thank you, thank you, and thank you. That is really all we can say to you. We love how you were able to return to your home resort, Vacation Village at Parkway, and feel completely safe. Everything was clean and you were able to enjoy our amenities. We apologize for the incident that took place at the pool one day of your stay but at least our staff was able to help resolve it rather quickly. Come back again soon and stay safe.

We usually stay about 10 minutes away or at our home resort but it was booked for the week of President's Day so we chose Vacation Village since it was close. We've stayed once before for a couple of days so we figured we'd give it another go.
The room is spacious and was very clean. We had no issues with that while we stayed there. The location was great as I was running in all 3 Princess Weekend races at WDW and it literally took less than 10 minutes to get to Epcot parking lot. I thought my home resort was close but this was basically on property!
The day we checked in, I requested a rollaway bed, I paid in advance and was told to call the maintentence number to request the delivery. The next day my fiance' was in the room and tried to request 2 rollaways (so our guests didn't have to use the pullout) he was told by the person on the phone that it had to be paid for (1 already was) and that the cardholder had to be in the room. This was different than what the desk had told me previously. When I got to the resort, I went to the desk and they told me that we were only allowed to request 1 rollaway (I later found out that it's a fire code) and that it should have already been delivered. I told them that it was not and that the maintenance person had been giving us different information (that we could have 2 cots). They called the office and told me to go back to the room and request it again. It was delivered promptly after that.
The day we arrived, my fiance' and two of our guests were without a vehicle so they attempted to walk to our building (Building 14 all the way at the far side of property). It was one of the hottest days of our trip and one of the pieces of luggage broke. In their half mile walk, not one employee in a golf cart or shuttle stopped to see if they needed assistance or a ride to their building. The poor guys were exhausted after hoofing it in the sun!
Doreen was in our building most days and she couldn't have been nicer. She was always so friendly and warm. Many of the other employees would be scrolling through their phone if they shared an elevator with you but Doreen was always willing to chat. Demonty (I'm sorry, I'm having trouble recalling his name) was more than helpful upon our check out. My finace' was on crutches by this point in our trip and I was having trouble getting the luggage cart out of our room by myself and he immediately stopped what he was doing to help us out. He brought it all the way to the elevator for me. When I unloaded it to bring it back inside, he was in the lobby and offered to take it for me. Just all around a really nice guy.
The activities room was always busy and we rented a couple of movies from them - easy service and a pretty good selection. Easy to renew when we weren't finished watching them and I wish we had a little more downtime to go to things like bingo. I'm sure it was fun.
Some good, some disappointing, but overall a good stay. However, this will be on the end of my list of places to stay - hopefully my home resort is available next time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your very detailed review with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our resort accommodations and location. We apologize for the issue that you had with the roll away beds, but the truth of the matter is that having more than 1 roll-away bed in a 1-bedroom suite is a fire code violation. It is great to hear how Doreen and Demonte provided you with excellent service. We hope you choose to return to Vacation Village at Parkway again in the future.

The check-in area is crowded, chaotic, and less than impressive. Half of the guests were having issues checking in and the staff, though trying to be helpful, were undertrained, which made the process long and arduous at midnight. Then they tell you that you need to go down a hallway to get a parking pass, which is just a tactic to sell you a timeshare. Don’t do it! There is no need for a parking pass - It’s an ungated property and noone checks the cars. Once we got to our room none of our keys worked so we had to wait 25 minutes for them to send security up to let us in. Housekeeping cleans at all hours, which means you shouldn’t be surprised if you are woken up out of a dead sleep late at night by the sound of vacuuming, furniture being moved around, and various loud bangs and bumps. We stayed in building 21 which we hear is the best and although it was nicely appointed with newer furniture, it feels cheap and the walls and floors are thin. Have fun looking for parking if you happen to come back late. The parking lot is over full by 10pm and confusing to navigate.

Check in was easy. High time of day for check in so took about 15 min. Check in person was very personable and we got a room on 11th floor overlooking pool in Bldg 20 with great views of Epcot fireworks. The room was amazing. Of course you always have to go see concierge for your welcome packet but we said no and that was the end of it. The only derogatory part was the minute we said no we were basically dismissed as she immediately looked down at her iPad and said have a good time. We were grateful we only had to say no once to their "free" breakfast. We were in a 1 bedroom "C" unit which is not the main unit. It was huge, very well laid out, had a partial kitchen which was actually huge with nice granite counter tops. Fantastic convection oven/microwave, dishwasher, two burner hot plate and full fridge. Fully stocked dishes/cooking utensils. Even the C unit had a large walk in shower and deep long bathtub. Very comfortable king bed in Master. Comfortable and stylish furniture in livingroom. Beautiful screened in patio. "C" units even had washer/dryer combo. Totally impressed with this facility. Definitely gold crown level. After our last week's timeshare debacle in Panama City, Florida we were thrilled to be at this resort. First time I have heard my husband say "I dont think I want to leave."

This is the 2nd time we have stayed. We didn’t realize until we arrived that it was a previous location we had stayed at until we arrived on site. We are owners with their timeshare group. We received a call about 2 months before our visit about a members only “deal” with a promise to help with an aspect of ownership. We were told; because we specifically asked; “no they are not going to try to sell you anything or get you to upgrade or do anything that will cost you more money.” That was a lie. The “meeting” was all about us enrolling in a new program and spending, for us, $15,000+ with monthly payments for 7 more years. The rooms are a great size, nice full kitchen with minimal necessities for using it, decor is dated, shower is old and on the small side, only 2 bars of soap are provided, the bed is like sleeping on a stone block. I didn’t get a restful night sleep during the stay. I woke up with a sore back and hips because of it. We discovered that while on vacation I had to clean. A informative flyer told us that we had to wash any dishes we used, put all use towels in the tub, and strip the bed leaving all the bedding on it. These are required “to avoid extra cleaning charges to your account.” I AM ON VACATION, I DON’T WANT TO CLEAN. You have a housekeeping department, cleaning is what they are paid to do; let them do their job. I will not be staying at this location again.

This was my 3 rd visit to Orlando but my first stay at vacation village. This was my whole family visit of 13 persons with grandchildren.
The village is set upon very large property with 21 completed compounds and the 22nd being constructed but at no no time do you feel like you living in a congested area. The welcome is superb and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
We all had a 1 bedroom suite which consist of an open plan kitchen fully fitted, dining area and a spacious lounge. The bedroom is large and a very spacious bathroom which consisted of a tub and a shower.
The cleaning service is only provided teicw , one is on arrival and the other midweek so technically it is once only, This I found inadequate but they do provide linen on request willingly and politely.
The whole village is kept very clean and the is more than ample parking, The swimming pool is well maintained and to our surprise heated .
The village is close to all the parks and outlet malls and very easily accessible major roads if you are driving.
Overall a very nice place to stay and definitely one to return to.

After traveling to the resort, in order to get your parking pass, you end up in your first sales meeting, where everything sounds like a deal, but it's just a ploy to get you to see the "upgrades" ie - the real sales meeting. I don't know how we agreed to handing over $20 to have them hold our place at breakfast, but yes, you sign a paper that says it is NOT REFUNDABLE, unless you go to breakfast and listen to the pitch. We will never agree to another sales meeting.
The room we were give was not like the photos on the website - that's what they will look like, maybe, after said "upgrades," but very lame to use that to entice us to stay here.
One thing the resort has going for it is the amazing location near the freeways, so you save about 45 minutes/day because you're not stuck in traffic traveling to/from the parks and everything else.

+1
Our first time here and overall a good experience. We called a few weeks ahead and requested a newer unit and they put us in the newest building they have (which is actually very large). We were right on the top floor, but when we got to our room I immediately hated the view...we faced the parking lot and a bunch of power lines. I knew I wouldn’t be happy with that for for the week so thought on the off chance maybe if I ask they will move us...and they actually did! They were very friendly about it and tried their best to accommodate us and make sure we were happy so we really appreciated that they had such good customer service towards us. They ended up moving us to end end unit on the opposite side of the building which was far better. Their check in process was also very quick and they were all nice at the front desk which I find rare (unfortunately) at most resorts. They were also not pushy at all about a timeshare meeting which I made clear from the get go we wouldn’t be doing. The unit was nicely decorated and very modern. Only con is I found they didn’t clean it very thoroughly...there was streak marks all over the mirrors, windows and tables, a few urine stains on the bottom of the toilet and some hairs in the tub. It seemed that they only gave it a very quick wipe down instead of thorough cleaning and for it being so new it would be very easy to make it sparkle which it didn’t. They also don’t provide you with a tea towel to dry dishes with in the kitchen, and like a lot of other resorts I’ve been to lately, no tea kettle. Those were pretty much my only cons. The hallways and foyers were very clean and always smelled nice and fresh. The pool area is nice except there is hardly any direct sun that hits it, only one small area and those are the first chairs to go. The hot tub is nice and large and we also enjoyed sitting around the fire pit a few nights. There’s also several bbqs and picnic tables around. It is all a very large complex with many other buildings, most of which are older, but it’s probably one of the nicer ones I’ve been to. Also in a good location and about a 15 min drive to anywhere within Orlando. I would return.

We reserved a week stay at this property with hopes of a impressive room and facility. It is understood we are all dealing with difficult times so this is taken into account. For the quick result; we stayed one evening; poor sleep; and ran to a much higher quality resort!
1.) Check-in: we arrived in the evening so majority of any early crowd check-in line was gone, but the same annoying process on get your room and room keys; but go over to that line to get a parking pass; this so they can upsell you to a timeshare brunch on your vacation and upsell you park tickets. Just give me my key and parking pass all at once and offer me the line to get tickets if I want. This process is a time waster.
2.) Outside Grounds: They appeared nice and well kept. Only Security is provided at the door of the buildings. So your vehicle is not in a gated area.
3.) Entrance to Building (12): The key to unlock the unit was 20 feet from the door; so if your hands are full of luggage and bags it is a two person effort; minor; just to note. The Entrance was plan but functional. It had advertisement brochure holder in the elevator lobby which in my opinion should be back at the main resort complex. Back in the 90's this maybe good idea but with everyone having phones a quick QR code to resort website with links to all the local fair is cleaner and more up to date. Specially in these times.
4.) Halls to your dungeon: halls are painted a dark mustard color with dark dirty carpet lite by only dim lighting fixtures. Hotels and resorts like Courtyard are better lite in the halls to make you feel positive about your room. The walls if you looked were dirty and the resort staff hadn't been monitoring for spills.
5.) 1 Bedroom with Kitchen room: Upon first arrival the room didn't look to bad; just dated. As you further entered you saw the sofa bed, and the 1 bedroom. The tile floor was cleaned via simple mop but not scrubbed in sometime and question if they every sealed the grout as it was caked with dirt. The kitchen was a basic kitchen and appears general functional. The Bathroom was just disgusting. a.) the toilet would continually backup and required plunging b.) the shower had a show curtain only; not glass c.) the backsplash hadn't been properly sealed so water could go under the laminate and cause the backsplash to swell and the laminate started to delaminate d.) the jetted I wouldn't wash my pup in
1.) Check-in: we arrived in the evening so majority of any early crowd check-in line was gone, but the same annoying process on get your room and room keys; but go over to that line to get a parking pass; this so they can upsell you to a timeshare brunch on your vacation and upsell you park tickets.

I am not an owner but I believe the office is open 24 hrs. It is a pretty big reception area with a lot of people so I assume so. I would call to make sure
