I didn't expect much with this hotel considering I was able to book it for less than $40/night. I did expect some things though. First, checking in I arrived a little after 1:30pm. I have been up for 36 hours at that point having driven into town. The front desk employee stated I could not check in early, even though my room was ready, until 4pm. If I wanted to check in earlier, I'd have to pay $25. Considering that I did not feel like sitting in my car for another 2 hours, I gave in and paid the fee. Kinda shifty charging people to get into their room 'early' even if it's clean and ready. I went to my room on the second floor and a housekeeper had her cart in the middle of the small walkway. She was standing at the cart and saw me and asked if I needed to get by. I replied, yes please. She said nothing else, only turned around and walked into the room she was cleaning. The cart was still in the middle of the walkway, making it hard for me with a rolling bad, backpack and a large shoulder bag to get by. As I struggled to pass, the housekeeper just stood and stared as I tried to get past. I ended up just pushing the cart out of the way. Superior service there. When I got to the room I noticed there was only one pillow on the queen bed, and that the latch on the door would not lock because it was broken. I was too tired at that time to deal with it, so I napped, and went out later. That evening I arrived back at the hotel between 12:45/1am. The front desk lobby was closed so the front desk employee was only available through a tiny window. I asked for an additional pillow and was told it would be $10/night extra for extra pillows. What hotel does this?? I could not believe it. I asked when the manager would be in and was told, "Um, probably around 10am." The bed was well worn in, but comfortable enough to rest. The floors felt as if they ripped up the carpet and replaced it with vinyl tiles that look like wood. The tiles were coming up in places and walking around barefoot, it was uncomfortable feeling the edges of the tiles scratch your feet. The floor also had a strange spot near the entrance to the bathroom-I felt like I would fall through the floor if I stood in that spot. The floor creaked and sank down a bit when I stepped there. The bathroom was old, but fine. Surprisingly the shower had great pressure, unlike even some pricier hotels I've been in. The door to the shower/toilet area was warped and would not close. There were only three sets up plugs to use if you needed to charge your phone or plug in your other devices. I use a CPAP machine and luckily I brought an extension cord. There were no plugs close to the bed so I had to use that. The a/c worked well, it did leak outside the room. When walking to or from my room, I had to walk down an upstairs walkway outside the doors to each room and walk through the liquid that was leaking out of every running a/c unit. The upper walkway felt old, and was slanted as if it would collapse soon. The parking was adequate, and the area was lit well at night to keep it safe, which was nice considering the creepy lot that surrounded the property. The free 'breakfast' was bananas, packaged tiny honey buns, tiny juice boxes, coffee, and cereal with milk. Apparently this was what my $6/day resort fee went to. I know it didn't go to the wifi because when I asked the night time front desk employee how to log in, she said that was an additional charge as well. If you're spending a night and just need a place to crash, this place isn't bad if you want to save money. That's about it though.

Both my Wife and I stayed at the Rodeway Inn and found the check in process easy and friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The hotel has a shuttle service to the Disney Parks with pickup later enough to watch the fireworks. Breakfast was simple but always available with fresh coffee and fresh pastries to start the day. The rooms are clean and well kept. The staff went above and beyond with requests. Washing machines were available on site so perfect for longer stays.

This recent stay was enough to keep me way from now on. The young lady at the desk was very kind. My three largest problems were the musty smell of the rooms, people smoking right outside nonsmoking rooms allowing it to be pulled into rooms by the vents, and the fire alarm going off in the morning and most if not all of the staff just standing around talking. I get it that it was either triggered by a smoker or a malfunction, but tell your guests, especially when most were just woken by it.

The owner of this hotel is obviously as greedy as they come. He (or she) is only wanting a few more cents in the pocket. I stayed for one week and learned that they only provide housekeeping every other day in order to save from paying the maids. The sidewalks and parking spaces in front of the room was covered with a month's supply of cigarette butts. I guess they don't clean that very often either. I also learned that they charge $3 a day for a service fee. When I asked what this was for, they told me they were buying a van to provide "FREE" transportation to the Amusement Parks. I don't consider this as FREE when they want every room to pay $3 a day, whether you use the service or not. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many other hotels in the area for the same budget rate that do not charge the extra $3 a day.

I spent several nights here, and while not a fancy hotel, it was clean comfortable and had a good $38 rate. Sure I could pay more and upgrade, but why? I’m here to vacation at Disney, not spend the day in a hotel room. It was very close to the parks in a newer part of Bronson Pkwy. There were lots of good buffets and steak houses within walking distance, as well as a Walmart a few doors away. In addition to a Free shuttle to Disney there is a bus stop across the street so you do not need a car. The room was super clean and recently refurbished. It has a nice pool, and landscaping is well kept. The office staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The manager gladly changed reservation dates, and even printed a voucher I needed for me. An employee was even out picking up cigarette butts in the evening, showing management had a sense of pride. The hotel is in a safe area with easy access to freeways, and the Disney parks. I would not hesitate to return.
