Tranquility Bay Resort is stunning... We had originally booked somewhere else in the keys for a change but were severely let down...

...I understand it's an upscale resort, but the service and food were inexcusable... When we did get our food, it was ok but what we got for the price was intolerable... We paid $23 for a Mahi sandwich and a bag of chips... WE three paid $141 for 2 drinks, a panini sandwich, fish tacos and my mahi sandwich... On our way out we even advised a couple to NOT go to the Tiki bar... Never will I go back, and I will tell my friends to skip this place... McDonalds is a better value for your money...

The resort is definitely tranquil and it is a GREAT location between the upper and lower Keys. There are many options to find a quiet spot on the beach, at the pool, or on your own private balcony... We found the main pool to be very fun and active but enjoyed the adults-only pool more... It was not crowded anywhere and there was a great, relaxed vibe... The cottages had plenty of places to spread out and though not really updated (decor), they were functional and the beds were super comfy... The bartender was nice and courteous but inexperienced... For example, cleaning the coffee maker daily, replenishing the complimentary teas and coffees, and the toiletries in the bathroom... However, I would go down the street to the Sunset Grille to enjoy my dinner and drinks by the water...
