Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is my 14th year to spend the month of February. The place is well maintained, friendly staff, great neighbours and the view is outstanding. Today was Hot Dog Day at the Tiki Hut and the place was packed with campers mingling and enjoying the free meal and disc jockey music. I look forward to my stay each year and will be returning again next year.

Hubby and I stayed here from June 1-13. Upon arrival, we were met by a friendly staff member (sorry I didn’t get a name). We had paid for premium interior and I asked her if there was a chance of getting a spot with a little view of the water. They were putting us in 2, but she looked and then changed our site to 5D. AWESOME SITE!! Right across from the boat ramp (and gets very busy at times). Other than morons who have no respect walking through our site (until we said something), it was a perfect site. The pros are: proximity to water; clean bathhouse, clean pool, dog park, clean RV park, great set-up with the docks and tiki area; Cons: too many golf carts and WAY too many carts being driven by kids! Not enough of enforcing the rules for above, as well as other rules broken continuously and no staff around to take care of it. Didn’t ruin our visit, but was annoying. Lack of having a fire pit at night. Really missed that. Laundry room prices ($4+ per load!) got pretty hot, prices were way too high as well.
The campground needs a general store, Another way for them to make some money!
Overall, good place to spend time and money (over $100 per night) and we biked both south and north for miles, kayaked from the campground and also drove over to Bahia Honda and Curry Hammock and biked and kayaked on several different days. Ate at some of the local place and also bought fresh grouper and shrimp from Keys Fishery. Both were really good with the blackened seasoning.

Stayed at Jolly Rogers for a family staycation. They called to confirm arrival time the day we were supposed to check in. The property was clean, including showers and bathroom stalls. The fellow motor home visitors were friendly and conscientious of keeping their pets leashed, quiet and cleaned up after the pets. Office staff and Allen were friendly and accommodating. Sunsets on the beach were beautiful. Thank you for a great stay! Family from Space #158

We stayed here for a month and will be back again soon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Campsites are great compared to other parks in the area, but you are in the Keys so they are smaller than places on the mainland because land here is limited. Still comfortable though. Some sites are tighter than others. Everything was maintained well and clean. The pool was nice and was uncrowded during our stay. At the most there was less than 10 people in the pool area during our stay. Sometimes we were the only ones there. Maintenance guys were out daily cleaning, repairing and keeping things in order all around the park.. They do a great job, always around doing something. They are currently in the process of building a new office and store. That should be awesome when it's finished. The park gets really quiet after about 9PM even though the highway is nearby. Beach is incredible. As good as any beach any any resort the Keys bar none. Only one small suggestion, we wish the laundry room took debit cards instead of coin operated machines. Definitely not a big deal though. The office always had change for the machines. We love this place and definitely will be back. It was very hard to leave this hidden jem.

This was our 5th year vacationing at the Jolly Roger. The staff is fantastic, especially Angie. We had a harbor spot for 10 days and the sunsets are superb. The spots are well kept and the management keeps the parties at bay. They have their own free boat ramp and boat slips are relatively inexpensive. Highly recommend this campground.

We stayed here for my birthday. Had an extremely difficult time getting someone on the phone to book reservation. Once I arrived, I can see why. They stay nonstop with phone calls and people checking in. Well worth it. We absolutely loved this place and didn’t want to leave. They are right next door to Grassy Key Marina which is where we got our live bait. They have boat slips to park your boat in the water and a small narrow boat ramp to launch your boat. A lot of people had their boats out of the water parked throughout the campground. There is a beautiful beach area where everyone gathers every night to watch the sunset. There is a nice pavilion with picnic tables. There is a fish cleaning station. There is a swimming area roped off. Quite a few people fished off the dock during the day. Most of the campers are very friendly and come for a month at a time. Cable TV was great. WiFi worked great, Verizon cell phone service entire time with no issues. You are in the middle between Marathon and Islamorada. Took about 20 minutes to go either direction. You are about an hour or so from Key West depending on traffic. There is a Publix and Winn Dixie in Marathon for groceries. We will be making this a yearly trip.

This is an excellent RV park located in Marathon, Florida Keys. The sites are spacious with large trees and concrete slabs for picnic tables, the restrooms are clean and modern, the showers are large, the pool is very nice and the park is located on the western side of the Key with Tiki huts for picnicking and a boat ramp to launch small boats. It is located less than a mile from the Dolphin Research facility - an excellent place for family activity including swimming with the dolphins. Just up the road is Pennekamp State park with access, and there are numerous scuba dive shops within a few miles.

Never stayed here but if you plan to visit make sure when making your reservations be very careful who you talk too!!! A guy by the name of Chris is extremely RUDE and very unprofessional... So much that when having a conversation with him about our reservations that wasn't for 7 months, I had to ask to speak to the manager. He then proceeded to tell me she was too busy to speak to me that she was helping other guest that wanted to keep their reservations. At that point, no matter what, I would never stay at this so called resort. Chris you need some training on how to treat potential guest and courtesy training. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL and left a very bad taste in our mouth! In the end, then manager of duty did call me back and had a much better conversation but I still canceled our reservation.

This is a nice place but the sites (one I was in, 147?) are not laid out well at all. First I could not park at the patio as it was @ 5.6" high and my stairs were only 3.5 " off the ground. 2nd was my electric wpuld not reach as I needed s 20 ft extension cord if I could have parked over the patio. Had to pull down @ 8ft 4" just to reach plug. Took 3 sewer hoses to reach with out them streched to the max. Water hose was streched to the max to reach so added a 2nd hose. The person beside me had the same problems. Park itself was beautiful, dog park was nice (fence needs some repair if you have small dogs. Good location, nice view, nice dock. I ga e it a 3 mainly due to site layout.

My family and I stayed here for the week for Spring Break. They close the bathrooms because of “COVID”, or as we call it “pay the same price and they do less work”. Every place else we have camped since Feb 2020 had baths open. Our motorhome had a plumbing issue where we could not use our own bath and we asked to use the restroom or even the workers porta potty until we could get it fixed. They denied us access to either and said “check into a hotel if you don’t like it”. Very rude folks and below average upkeep at the park. A lot of loud construction going on at the park and surrounding perimeter. Cutting metal studs all day near pool. Not the peaceful vacation we had hoped for.
