We really enjoyed staying at Skipjack. The rooms have everything you need to feel comfortable and right at home. We loved having a separate living room. Room was clean. The balcony is nice too, even if it just overlooks the parking lot, I enjoyed sitting out there in the morning and drinking my coffee as the sun rose. The pool is very nice. It’s quiet. The bar is poolside. Great drinks, but a little pricey. They do allow you to use your breakfast coupons for a drink if you’d prefer. Breakfast is terrific! Couldn’t be better! Made to order. The kitchen cooked our catch! It was absolutely wonderful! Best meal we had on vacation. Their chef is excellent! We enjoyed being able to use the beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach. That’s a very nice amenity. It’s pretty expensive nightly rate, but if you add up all the extras you get here, it’s a good value.…
Front desk and entertainment staff were exceptional. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bar has entertainment every night but even when we wanted to go to bed early, we were not at all bothered by the noise. Rooms had small kitchenettes and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!
I went to a body sculpting class at Skip Jacks with Instructor Tracy. The class was excellent, Tracy was knowledgeable and motivating. The class is outdoors under a newly installed tented area. I am looking forward to the next class.
I stayed at Skipjack Resort & Marina from February 9-13,2023. The resort was wonderful. They replaced the pool chairs & cabanas while we were there. We borrowed chairs & umbrellas to go to the beach which was a nice extra that they do not charge you for. The location of the resort is between Key Largo & Key West so travel is a little over an hour each way .....perfect location! The breakfast was good & quick. Also, the burgers at the pool bar are delicious!!! The staff was friendly. Romona at the front desk gets an A+ for customer service!! We enjoyed our stay so much that our group booked for next year.
Alex was a great activities coordinator! Beautiful pool area! Condo was spacious and clean. Good entertainment by the pool side. Easy to get to. :) sunset at sombrero beach was spectacular. Will recommend to other travellers going to the keys
We stayed for 5 nights during a February heat wave. Our unit was on the top (4th) floor. It had some renovations done, so we had nice quiet air conditioners, an upgraded shower in a smallish bathroom, a comfortable king bed (with small pillows) and a well equipped little kitchen with all you need except a stove. Ask for a room without an adjoining door as our neighbors were loud. There is a breakfast room where you can choose eggs, breads, pancakes, cereal and fresh fruit. You can have your breakfast outside on the pool deck. There is a decent pool with a bar and live music or karaoke in the evenings. We used the laundry machines. Just make sure you choose ones that are not rusty. The staff are all amazing and super friendly. The location is ideal to base yourself in the middle of the Keys. About 1 hr and 15 mins to Key West. There is a lot to see and do in Marathon. Some within walking distance. Many restaurants are a short drive away. We walked to Publics and bought groceries to eat in the room. Would have given a 5 star rating based on friendly staff, location, price, and amenities, but much about this place is tired and a bit worn out. Not for a lack of trying by the friendly, hardworking staff. Furthermore, not everyone has a view over the marina. We were overlooking the parking lot. A couple of the small buildings have been gutted, and work is underway to rebuild them. Some of the rooms on this property have already been converted from resort rooms to home owner occupied dwellings. Note that this property is also a marina with boats mooring here for extended periods. Note also, some guests were booking extended (snowbird) stays through third-party booking agencies. We booked directly with the hotel. …
Such AMAZING customer service. Our flight got cancelled and had to change our booking and Karla was so accomadating and helpful. So kind and understanding. Our rooms are spotless and being able to borrow towels, beach chairs and bikes was an added bonus. Pool is very clean and the bar and restaurant is a wonderful addition.
We picked this location to bicycle on Old Seven Mile Bridge and visit Key West. It is also close to Sombrero Beach and Boot Key, both awesome places. Skipjacks will lend beach chairs and umbrellas to patrons, that was a bonus! It is also nice that a local kayak rental has an agreement with the hotel for $5/hr! They will drop them off at the beach, you paddle through the mangroves, they pick them up. Live Music at the pool was another bonus, and the food at Blu Bistro was great! Ramona and Efi and all staff were professional, courteous and attune to our needs,
We rented a pontoon for the day and went sight seeing, Burdines does indeed have great fries! Beach was amazing. The tiki bar had the best food I would recommend sharing the portions are huge. We had the meat platter.
My husband, myself, and our two young kids stayed here for 5 days and had an absolute BLAST! Clean, well maintained resort with beautiful views of the marina and overall great location in Marathon. The staff was so polite and helpful, especially halfway through our stay when the AC went out and they promptly moved us to an open room next door. Pool bar is great with amazing pizza and wings, plus fantastic music every night! Continental breakfast included with stay as well as complimentary champagne upon arrival, honestly who could ask for more! We cannot wait to come back again!
