We visited Cheeca and brought down two families with us. The first night we asked for dinner reservations and 8:50pm was available. The food at the restaurant is very good. It didn't matter which one because all of our meals were delicious. Note: Make dinner reservations early in the day. The concierge was very helpful with dinner suggestions. We used...

It sounds like you had a wonderful stay and took full advantage of all the wonderful activities that Cheeca and Islamorada have to offer. We appreciate your compliments about our restaurants,...

I have reached my final destination and it's The Cheeca Lodge at Islamorada,FL What a welcoming sight to behold a favorite destination "bubble" for a few days! Every thing a guest might possibly desire can be found on this property... Several eating venues, pool, beach, spa and numerous outdoor recreational sports. My room was available upon arrival which is rare...

This was a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. The check- in left much to be desired. For the price you shouldn't have to stand in line behind 6 other couples to check in. Very slow. The champagne was nice but would rather have a quicker check-in. Our room was a deluxe double room with a view of one of the...

It was nice to hear that you discovered Cheeca to be a beautiful resort with lovely grounds, and that your room was clean with a wonderfully comfortable bed. We are delighted you enjoyed all the fun-filled activities included in our resort fee and explored the shores of Islamorada via kayak. A nighttime stroll through Cheeca’s lushly landscaped gardens is a...

This was our fourth visit to Cheeca Lodge (our last visit was for our wedding at Cheeca) and it was obvious there have been major changes for the worst at Cheeca. Inattentive staff, numerous repairs going undone, increased prices and unimaginative food selections left us sorely missing the "old" Cheeca. Check-in was a mess(!) with crowds of people/cars backed up...

Check in was with a rude, uncaring woman who did not even look us in the eye or offer a glass of the "complimentary" champagne. Paid $356-$425 per night for 5 nights for a "fully equipped" kitchen unit (#630) that had no oven, no knives, no wine opener and the dishwasher leaked. The four plates were too big to fit...

My family and I visited the Florida keys June 2015. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and Caribbean-like cheeca lodge was. The pools were clean and there was an adult pool and a family pool so ours was quite. The atmosphere was inviting and friendly. Thank you so much for this wonderful review of our resort. We call the Keys “America’s Caribbean,” as we offer all the same amenities and ambience as a Caribbean resort, but you can leave your passport at home. We stayed just the one nights before baling on the second......the staff were very welcoming, and we scored an "upgrade"....and things went downhill pretty fast from then. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture, chic West Indies décor, and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a new breakfast bistro and lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Lounge offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge with a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its family-friendly Limoncello Italian restaurant serving up Tuscan favorites in a casually rustic setting. Cheeca Lodge & Spa features 2,400 square-feet of retail shops with a Cheeca Signature store featuring the latest designer fashions and accessories. An expanded roster of activities include offshore and backcountry fishing, parasailing, sightseeing, eco-tours, paddleboards, water trikes, kayaks, golf, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard and more. The resort’s signature features include a classic 525’ wooden fishing pier, tropical gardens, crossing palms archway, nature trails, Tahitian-style Spa Lagoon, spectacular purple sunsets, 1100 feet of beaches, Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, Camp Cheeca children’s environmental activity program, and access to world-class sportfishing. Located just 90 minutes south of Miami International Airport in the Florida Keys, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is just a few hours by air or drive from major East Coast U.S. cities. ... more   less
