When we came we were well taken care of. We had rented the room with the sea view and hot tub on the terrace. We thought we were going to stay in a bungalow but the room was on 4th floor overlooking the ocean. Fantastic sunrise in the morning. The room was too expensive compared with the price. We paid... Awesome staff from the front gate to checkout. Beautifully groomed grounds and well-appointed room overlooking the golf course. However, we were so disappointed in their restaurant, Atlantic Edge. We made reservations for 7:00 pm outside seating. When we arrived at 6:55 we were told to wait as they searched for table; then they had to find the manager who seated... More

We've stayed here before and enjoyed many memorable meals, and Sunday was another one. Driving home to Miami from Key West, we planned our timing so as to be able to lunch in the dining room at the legendary Cheeca Lodge. We were seated outside with a beautiful view of the water, while the well mannered and attractive hotel guests... More

the property is nice-- well laid out and many amenities. However-- the staff is a problem. Over half of the wait staff is close to rude-- you have to flag them down to get waited on and then hope for the best. the food is good, but often cold (see staff comments) and there did not appear to be a... We went with friends who'd been there before when it was $60/person, so we foolishly surmised it would be that or close to it for 2016. If you think that cold turkey, cold ham, cold grouper, and tasteless (probably farm-raised shrimp) are worth $89 a head, by all means go there. We had a reservation made 3 months ahead for... More

You pass lots of roadside motels on the way to this place - and you'll start to wonder what you booked! However, the hotel is located on large grounds off the main highway. We upgraded to a lodge which was large, airy, had a balcony with views of the sea. There's a little mini golf course and tennis and lots... More

Returned to Cheeca where we were married years ago for anniversary celebration. Property is spectacular and rooms extremely nice. This is truly a beautiful place. However, the celebration portion has been missing in action from Cheeca staff. The reservation team member indicated at the time i booked that they would note it, have a nice surprise awaiting us and that... More

I have waited a bit to write the review because I wanted to reflect to ensure I was not overreacting about the poor service. I feel I can now review without emotion is my disappointment. First let me say the grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The views of the beach and blue water are incredible. We stayed in the... More

We were impressed years ago by their Thanksgiving day buffet, yesterday we went with friends, the food was mediocre, $89 pp, and a 20% service charge added. It was a ripoff, complaints went unheeded. We were seated at a really bad table which we refused and just moved ourselves, our reservations were made months ago so we should have had... More

Our latest trip to the Cheeca Lodge did not disappoint. The suites are nicely appointed and very clean. The grounds are so beautiful. The resort fee is a bit expensive, but you get A LOT for the money. We went on the snorkeling trip out of Cheeca and it was beautiful. The captain and first mate are top notch. All... More
