Travelers' Choice
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a coffee bar and top-shelf lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Atlantic’s Edge, Cheeca’s flagship restaurant offering a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce, Nikai Sushi Bar and Restaurant offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; and family-friendly Mia Cucina restaurant transporting Naples, Italy into the heart of Islamorada serving up made to order artisan pizzas, pastas and salads.

WOW, Another Amazing Trip to the BEST RESORT IN THE FLORIDA KEYS, THE CHEECA LODGE. My name is Rick Bonvie, Owner of Bonvie Realty & Development. I'm a Commercial Realtor from Ft. Lauderdale Florida that has been coming to the Cheeca Lodge my whole life. I am now nworking in the Keys selling land on the Private Island of CRAIG KEY, which brings me down there at least once a month. I've been coming down to Cheeca Lodge to work over the last 6 months and my experiences at the Cheeca Lodge just gets BETTER every time, hard to believe. The Staff is Absolutely AMAZING. Starting when I get to the Private Entrance, I'm ALWAYS greeted by Carlos who mans the private entrance. He always remembers me when I come and makes me feel at home as soon as we see each other. His welcoming ways make me know that I have just arrived at the World Class Cheeca Lodge. He ALWAYS makes the start of my trip a TRUE PLEASURE. Once I drive through the Private entrance with Carlos sending his BEST WISHES FOR A GREAT TRIP. Next I usually run into Chris Simms. Chris works at the Valet station and he is ALSO AMAZING! He immediately welcomes me back and is always giving me the the latest and greatest on whats going on at the Cheeca Lodge. He is always asking me how me and my family are doing and letting me know that he is there for anything I need. Without hesitation, he helps bring my belonging up to my room and takes care of my Truck. There is never I time that I see Chris and he is not helping out someone. Next, when I go to Check in I usually get the PLEASURE to see Heather Westergard. Heather is TRULY A SPECIAL PERSON the way she greets the Guests of the Cheeca. She is ALWAYS so kind and goes out of her way to help out with any special requests I have. She makes sure I have a ride to Dinner, and makes SURE my stay is PERFECT. When I recently checked out of the Hotel in January, Heather was being to Kind to the most abusive Guest that I've ever run into. Watching her handle this extremely difficult Guest with CLASS was SO IMPRESSIVE. Heather is a TRUE ASSET to the Cheeca Lodge experience. Another amazing employee is Lucas. Lucas also works at the Front Desk checking people in and out. Lucas is also SO HELPFUL and always is SO Welcoming as well.I just want to reiterate that between, Carlos at the front guard gate when you enter, Chris in Valet, Heather and Lucas at the front desk always make my trip SPECTACULAR !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

From beginning to end a fantastic experience. No car needed hotel shuttle service for local dining but the on property restaurants are awesome. Staff is friendly and attentive. Very clean and lots to do.

Had a very nice vacation but not worth the cost per night. Housekeeping was average at best - we had no eduction at check in on what the property offered and a small coffee is $5 in the lobby every morning. Should serve free coffee.

Really exceptional hotel :) The staff was friendly, the food and drink were superb, and the beach and pool were absolutely perfect. The beach bar was the best and Islamorada is the perfect place if you're looking for Keys fun without the crowds! :)

Bathroom towel racks either missing or broken. Slate in shower was white with calcium deposits from hard water. AC had horrible smell like mold . Workers and staff showed up outside our bungalow in golf carts to cajole and talk loudly at 7:45am. We had to sleep with slider open due to smelly AC. Breakfast at cafe was served with cold toast , cold bacon, cold potatoes and a warm egg.
