The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture, chic West Indies décor, and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a Coffee Bar & Breakfast Bistro as well as a top-shelf lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Restaurant offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge, Cheeca’s flagship restaurant offering seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its brand new family-friendly Mia Cucina restaurant transporting Naples, Italy into the heart of Islamorada serving up made to order artisan pizzas, pastas and salads in a live

Dear Larry S, We’re delighted you had an awesome experience with us here at Cheeca Lodge & Spa, and we appreciate the time your review and the kind words about our resort and service-oriented team members. We didn’t want you to leave either, but we hope you will come back for a return visit soon!

Cable was out during our entire stay. After a few attempts contacting guest services, nothing was resolved or an alternative solution to correct the issue. Otherwise they are still working on the pool so you will see construction going on in the beach area.

Went to Cheeca for our Honeymoon for two nights. Positive: The only positive we can say is the Bell Hop. They are fantastic. Negative: Phone doesn't work, Toilet kept getting stuck (can't call to fix, broken phone. Call from cell and no one comes), lights turn on and off by themselves, rancid smell (yes, from the seaweed and we know they can't remove it but it does over power your room- unbearable- so plan accordingly), don't pay cash (staff pockets it), make sure the renovation of the new pool is complete- very disturbing. Supervisor and/or management seem too bothered or preoccupied to respond or acknowledge any issues. They just let the front desk "handle" situations. Thank you for not charging the resort fee... as we didn't use it. We spent more than that tipping and taking care of the wonderful bell hops and house keeping. Just be mindful of booking at Cheeca. I wish we read all of the reviews more carefully, they are accurate. Service ranking only gets average because of the bell hop and housekeeping Cleanliness get two- zero for resort- five for housekeeping Value- zero Location- decent Sleep Quality- zero for breathing rancid air all night- Beds and pillows are nice. Rooms- room size and cleanliness would be a four (again, housekeeping) - Smell, Toilet, Broken Phone, Lights, Lugging luggage around resort are all zero.

This is the exclusive chica Lodge. I was surprise it had a star rating because it was mediocre at best. The pools were not clean, not well-maintained, and understaffed. At the adult pool, they didn’t even have cops and there was a long wait for even a slight drink and it wasn’t even that crowded. At the main pool, which was dirty and small, we couldn’t even get our check to pay. The overall resort seemed outdated and tired. They really need to up their game and put a swim up bar and cool feature at at least one pool.
