Travelers' Choice
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a coffee bar and top-shelf lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Atlantic’s Edge, Cheeca’s flagship restaurant offering a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce, Nikai Sushi Bar and Restaurant offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; and family-friendly Mia Cucina restaurant transporting Naples, Italy into the heart of Islamorada serving up made to order artisan pizzas, pastas and salads.

I truly loved this hotel. It’s very relaxing and I loved the night time vibe outside. They play live music which we loved and you can take walks and enjoy the Sunset. Over all beautiful place and I highly recommend

On Cheeca website the rooms look beautiful. The main hotel seems to have been remodeled but our bungalow was not. It was NOT cleaned well. Had gross dust build up, spilledcoffee down the wall and floorboard, and cobwebs on pocket door when opened. One room rented the air wasn’t working and it was 80 degrees in room. We had to call engineering for help. My toilet rocked bc its chaulking was broken. We had inconsistent customer service.

A true resort, beautiful property, excellent customer service. Food was pricey as expected, but always delicious. Previous stay was at the lodge but we tried the beach bungalow this time, the location was spectacular. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

Very beautiful property and friendly staff! There are little to no vegan options on the different menus (except the hummus- that was really good!), so we had to leave the property for our meals. Lorelei nearby has a really good vegan sautée, Bad Boy Burritos, has vegan options across the street from lodge, and we ordered the breakfast veggie wrap with potatoes instead of eggs at Mangrove Mikes, so good! (Check out the attached shop next door-beautiful art!) We also found great options at Num-Thai and Sal’s Ballyhoo in Key Largo. Cereal/sandwiches in the room was another good option for us. We stayed in a beach bungalow and it was amazing! We watched sunrise from our balcony, so calm and beautiful! We got a few dives in with Islamorada Dive Center just up the road, great experience, highly recommend! Will be easier next time we return now that we know where to get food. The bed was very comfortable and ac worked great. Such a beautiful place! Would definitely stay again!
