Rooms were wonderful, beach was amazing, totally relaxing. Didn't need much from staff, as we ask for them NOT to enter room while there. We vacation to not be around people. For the price, we were completely satisfied. Oh, and for the record.... those who comment on the atmosphere... coming from a tourist community myself, sometimes it's the atmosphere YOU bring that you get back. :)

We stayed at La Siesta for 2 nights over spring break. We have stayed at La Siesta many many times but this time the atmosphere had changed. Traveling with myself and my nephews we have always gone out on the kayaks and paddle boards together but the older one brings his own. The kids are no longer able to take out the kayaks even with an adult. Also, fishing is now only permitted in a certain area. We have enjoyed staying at La siesta, but need to find a new kid friendly environment. La Siesta is a very nice place to stay, but won’t work for those traveling with children.

We were in the Keys to attend a family members wedding. We chose the La Siesta resort initially because it would be close to the wedding & reception. We had a great time while we were there and will definitely be back. It was relaxing and many family members enjoyed the water activities, kayaking was a big hit.

I arrived with my family for a summer break and to give me dad his wish after his year of his passing. I was getting in the reception area by a staff member. As I started my process for check in I explained I had a double booking (total of 11days) and told her I would like a certain room she explain when I did the booking that not the style I had paid for. I told her I did not mind paying an additional fee but want to be comfortable the staff member called her manager “Michael”to ask him how it can be done and he didn’t even allow the staff member to explain. I jumped into the conversation and he rudely replied you get what you get and that what you paid for. I voiced again I would accept an additional fee for the room I was requesting and he nope sorry. Another staff member came out “Viviana” she said started to search to see how she can accommodate my request he the. once again Mike stayed there is nothing I can do you for I the. Said I will cancel my reservation and would just stay for a night. Viviana came out to see how she can work with me as I am explaining to my family that we were just staying at the resort for 1 night. Vivtana kept apologizing for the way we treated and once again going out of her to see how she can accommodate my family. After speaking to her for about 20 min we decided to stay. After the 2 night at the resort the girls where dancing and singing at 10pm with the neighbors next to us. At the time of check in the staff member explain noise after 11pm. We were greeted my a security that should be in a muring home. He screamed at my from the first floor as we were in the 3rd floor balcony that we needed to shut up before he called the cops. I leaned over and apologize to him he said then stated he didn’t need an apology he just needed us to shut up. As we quite down and turned down the music my husband and I were shocked and notice the music in the pool area was still on at this time it was already 11:30pm. Thx Vivtana for your help. We stayed because of you. You deserve to be recognized!!!
