I was actually reluctant to write a review because I want to keep this place to myself but the amazing staff deserve it!! This charming, little boutique hotel is low key and reminds you to slow down in a wonderful way. Everyone is very friendly and because there are only 16 rooms, you feel like you're on your own little island. I stayed here one time before with my fiance and last weekend, I had my wedding there with all of my friends and family! Everyone stayed at Casa Morada and I only heard amazing things! I highly recommend Casa Morada and I'm already trying to plan my next trip there with my husband :)

We had originally scheduled a trip overseas for our 30th anniversary before the world shut down. I decided to try to find somewhere in the US that was somewhat secluded but still warm and nice enough to replace our planned trip. It is an expensive place to stay but well worth it compared to other options we could find. Casa Morada is a beautiful little place to stay. There are a limited number of rooms available on a fairly large property. The private little island that has the pool, bar and lawn chairs was a great place to hang out in the sun without dealing with crowds of any sort. So we booked our trip for a week at the end of Dec/beginning of Jan 2021 The service is excellent. Each morning our breakfast was delivered to the room since they could not do their normal setup due to the pandemic. We stayed in the Iguana suite, which is one of the bigger ones and has a little private area with a couple of chairs and looks out to the little harbor and island. The room was clean and comfortable and could be made private by closing the inner doors over the huge sliding doors that overlook the harbor/island. We took advantage of their sunset sailboat cruise on the day of our anniversary and it was well worth the money. I'm terrible with names, but the captain and his mate were full of interesting information about the area while we were getting our private sail. The free yoga classes that were offered were very good and we took advantage of 2 of them. The free Bikes, paddle boards and kayaks were also very useful. You can kayak/paddleboard starting right in the little harbor. They are located close enough to many restaurants that you can just walk, so the car never moved unless we were headed to another key. I'd give them 6 stars if I could, it was just the quiet escape we needed.

Cash Morada was amazing. Definitely recommend seaside rooms. Private, quiet. One of the cleanest places I have stayed. Cannot believe it was built in the 1940’s. A real gem. Island Bartender is off on Tuesdays. Also if any ADA accommodations needed ask for a shower instead of bathtub.

Hello Kathryn G, Thank you for your recent visit and for your kind comments. Our housekeeping staff have been with us for many, many years and take great pride in their work so they were thrilled with your comment about cleanliness. Good news, we now have a bartender on Tuesdays, so no longer any interruptions to our excellent service. Until your next visit, we wish you safe travels.

My wife and I just spent another amazing weekend at our favorite getaway. The staff is always friendly and polite. If you need extra towels or some ice, it's just a call away. The breakfast is always fresh with papaya, pineapple, hard-boiled eggs, fresh croissants, muffins, etc. This weekend another couple was married on the property which was nice to watch as the sun was setting. Oh, and we always meet nice people when we visit. We already planned our next trip with friends in December. They also include kayaks, paddleboards, and bicycles, at no extra charge.

Went to Islamorada to celebrate our 21st anniversary and stumbled upon a gem! Casa Morada is a small guesthouse with homey Keys style suites with beautiful touches and plenty of space. I believe there are only 16 double occupancy rooms (no kids allowed) and beautiful manicured grounds where each room has its own little outdoor space. The pool area was delightful with an exquisite Bay view. A minimal bar with just enough for a lazy pool day and a local good option. Beware this is not a big luxury hotel, if that’s what you’re looking for keep scrolling but that was exactly what I was NOT looking for! Conveniently located near all the good food and attractions that Islamorada has to offer and far enough of the highway for quiet but close enough to ride bikes to Brunch (which are free at the front desk). Breakfast was included but not extensive (bagels, yoghurt, fruit and cereal etc) and a lovely cold bottle of champagne greeted us at arrival, along with the guesthouse cats which are the cutest. Will definitely be back!

After 6 long years we decided to go back to Casa Morada for our 16 yr anniversary, and we are so glad we did. This is truly a couples paradise. We loved our 1st experience so much and have been trying to get back ever since. It's hard to cover all but I'll try. From start to finish we had a great overall experience. I communicated with the front desk for some special requests and boy did they ever deliver! The grounds and boutique style hotel at Casa are beautiful. The location is just hard to be beat. Pushed back 1 block off US1 and centrally located in Islamorada to shops, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries etc. You can really walk anywhere! Check in was a breeze and the views from our room (Starfish suite) were perfect. The room smelled fresh and was spotless. Great little touches like complimentary snacks were available/ drinks for purchase. Loved the nice size mini fridge which allowed us to store the Key lime pie we were taking back to family. Overall I would highly recommend this to couples seeking to unwind and relax. The grounds are quiet and the pool on the little island is perfect. You also have access to the bay and we got to see 3 Manatee's while there. Great snorkeling right by the pool and dock area. The pool bar offers great service. Beer , wine, and saki based cocktails are more then enough since we were drinking at dinner anyway. Pool area was always clean and cared for. Love the fact that this place has that small private resort feel. Not that many staff or people walking around and just feels like it's your own place. Bikes, paddle boards and kayaks are available for free. The continental style breakfast was delicious. Plenty of options and great start to our day. I really can't understand the bad reviews here. I hate being on vacation or a short trip and having a huge breakfast and feeling like crap after. Healthy options like hard boiled eggs, Greek yogurts, fruit etc were available. Absolutely loved the fresh squeezed OJ and I don't even drink juice!! Lol. Obviously there's a ton of choices you can pick to stay in the Keys but if you're looking for a one of a kind experience this is it. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic stay look no further. As soon as you leave you will be thinking about coming back again!

The location of the hotel is stunning, but the customer service can only be considered as non existent. Check in lacks any charm, just a list of what isn’t available. Requested room to be serviced, gave two days notice but nothing done. Would love to visit again, but the place seems to be on a downward spiral and unless a major change of attitude towards customer service takes place, I fear it will be terrible in the future.

Hello Andy W, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We are happy you enjoyed our location however we are sorry the service was not up to expectations. Having stayed many times before this is a little gem in terms of setting and environment but this can not be called a hotel. Over 500 dollars per night ; no one to help on check in , find your own room , no one serving at the pool only for a few hours but can not call this service, you are expected to call if you need anythjng but where do you call, food and drink very linited no towels at the pool when asked “sorry no clean ones “, room is simple but ok but not being serviced, no more welcome note or any personal touch anywhere bed is still good , breakfast a complete joke : no napkins , tables not being cleaned or wiped , no cappuciono, pastries are soggy and super cheap and kept in wooden box on buffet tabke highlight was the fresh orange juice but no other juices. No thank you on check out , handed a piece of paper which was the invoice not in a nice envelooe , not asked if we had a nice time . We still had a great time as location is perfect , nice pool area but you have to completely look after yourself . Shame as it was never like this before it had a personal touch and service was much much better and for value this is not right .

Hello Wilhelm333, We thank you for your visit and for sharing your comments and feedback. We definitely did not meet your expectations on service and for that, we sincerely apologize. We hit a bump in the road but are back on track. This, however, cannot change your perspective and past experience. We hope that you will look us up if you are traveling again in the area as we would love to have you experience the "true" Casa Morada. In the meantime, safe travels.

A group of 10 stayed from May 22-May 26 and had the most amazing time. This place is the perfect place to relax and also be close to all that Islamorada has to offer. We stayed in the Shangra La Suite. It was perfect and the view was lovely. Cannot beat the sunsets over the "island." I did miss one small thing when booking. This room only has a large clawfoot type tub. No shower. It had a wand in the tub to use. It was totally fine and my husband is 6.3'. Marah at the front was so accommodating and sweet. We had called ahead and booked a boat for 2 days. She had our boat perfectly stocked with everything we requested. She was always more than willing to meet our rowdy groups requests. Edith and her daughter at the bar were fantastic as well. She makes lovely saki martinis and was on top of her game making sure we had all of the water, towels and snacks we needed. We enjoyed getting to chat with both of them during our stay. We went on a snorkel tour on a boat, but there was no need. There was much more to see right around the island of the hotel. Lobsters, parrot fish, barracuda, nurse sharks, manatee, sting rays, eagle rays. We had dinner at Ziggy's one night and the steaks were fabulous. The Morada Bay Beach Club was also lovely and had the best watermelon salad. We had dinner at Lazy Days and the food was hit or miss, but the atmosphere was great. They will also sell you $2 bags of cut fish to throw over the dock and TONS of huge tarpon, nurse sharks and lemon sharks will swarm to feed. We will definitely be back to Casa Morada. It was a hidden gem. We enjoyed the small size and getting to know the staff so well as well as the other guests.
