Nice location, but rooms are in need of some upgrades for $266 a night. AC can't handle the entire room (wall unit). Toilet ran and needed repair. Relaxing to sit by the sea, but no beach access for swimming. Tiki hut cannot charge drinks to the room so bring cash or credit card with you to the pools. Not very... More

Several years back, my husband and I stayed at the Chesapeake for a weekend. We had a nice time and I vowed to come back and to bring the kids. So, last month we brought our teenage daughters and stayed in one of the "villas". Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The hotel, which years ago was "acceptable" in terms of... More

This resort was amazing. It had beautiful scenery. A lot to do. Very down to earth. The staff was amazing a big thank you to James, Massiel. We were very well taken care of with our room and breakfast by Tina and Laura.... Recommend this place for sure.

Nice location and polite staff. The beach is not the best for vading. Available kayaks and katamarans for hotel guests. Breakfast is minimal, but included. Our room was worn and toilet loose from the floor. Noisy aircondition. Ps. They charge you a 20 dollar daily service fee... Not optional.

I checked in and the front desk clerk asked me if I would like to see my room before I payed for it, I liked that, I knew what I was paying for first, that was good !! This resort is definitely outdated but charming, the staff here are very professional, the property is nicely landscaped. There are 2 swimming... More

We had four in one room. Bathroom was small, but not a huge deal. There was too much to do and see... free kayaks and bicycles, two swimming pools, large beachfront, hammocks, bar, good breakfast (free), iguanas, nurse sharks, lobsters, manatees, fish, etc. Staff were friendly!

The rooms were so outdated!!! Accommodations were Definitely not even close to what they were charging per night... We booked this so called "RESORT" with a total of 18 people expecting to have a relaxing time but The water sports that are included in the daily resort fee were a joke because the area in which you were allowed to... I made this reservation very last minute, so I basically took what I could get on Islamorada on a holiday weekend. I don't know if there is one section of the hotel that has been remodeled and one that hasn't, but there must be some reason for the differences in experiences/ratings here. At any rate, the part of the "resort"... More

The people that work at this "resort" are very nice and that's why I gave 2 stars because everything else was dissatisfied. The water sports that are included in the daily resort fee were a joke because the area in which you were allowed to go was limited. The building and rooms have seen much better days. The broken steps... More
