We stayed one night in a suite of rooms, two bedrooms and living room kitchen combo. More of a lodge than a resort for dive groups and sport fishermen. No pool. Nice patio area. Washer and dryer on grounds.

If you are looking for the Florida Keys of the past The Lookout Lodge is the place to go. The simple but well appointed, clean rooms and private beach area remind me of many places in the Keys 20 or 30 years ago. These days places like this are few and far between. The hotel is right next door to...

What a nice place! It was small (I counted 12 rooms) with a great beach area (you can go in and swim if you want). It is next to a restaurant that has music at night (so you get to enjoy it from the beach area). You are close enough to everything without the crazy!

i wanted a place with a small beach so we wouldn't have to drive to the beach. the ad said a private beach which was actually next door by a restaurant and it was very small .the "beach" right at the hotel had a series of steps to get into the water. the room was dated but the mattresses were...

Stayed in a standard room for 4 days. Nice location and beautiful views of the bay side. New mattresses for every room while we were there. The bathroom and kitchenette areas in our room seemed to be newly remodeled. Full size fridge very clean. I especially loved the shower with the river rock "tiled/grouted" floor. It was very quiet and...

When one pays over 250+ dollars a night for a room one expects bed sheets without stains, updated rooms, a well maintained room and property. One gets none of the above. The property is not a Resort, it's a run down lodge that is located on the bay. There is no beach, but a series of steps that leads into...

Loved the specious rooms. The staff super friendly. So quaint and private. Enjoyed my stay. Make sure to stop at payfair supermarket, they have a caring staff and great selection which is nearer to the resort than the big chain supermarket. I heard they have great subs too.

Because the Keys is a beautiful place to be outdoors, why worry about the room? WRONG. A hotel can make or break a trip and this one did it for us. How did it make me miserable? Let me count the ways. Bed pad were old hard plastic which left ripples in the sheets. The sheets were full of holes with...

I attend the Nascar races in Homestead, FL. so staying in the Keys presents less traffic problems and a lot better scenery. The room was clean and the outdoor area is great for enjoying the water and sun.

This classic Keys resort was exactly as their website described. The restaurant next door was a plus, entertainment could be enjoyed there or at our lovely outdoor waterside. We will return! Great staff and super sunsets!
