I wanted to have a nice New Year's but I didn't. We checked into this hotel 12/31/16 and when we showered prior to ringing in the New Year we noticed baby roaches in the bathroom. We want to a local club, rang in the New Year, and returned to the hotel. The next day, 1/1/17, as I was reading the...

We are sorry that you had a bad experience. Most of our guests love this place and like that fact that we are not a big name hotel chain. You did book the smallest room that we have, and there is no excuse for roaches. We are sorry that your room was the only one with such an issue. We...

Small boutique hotel, pricey but this keeps out the riff-raff and drinkers out. Attracts the professional executive and retired crowd. Very quiet and peaceful and my small apartment with a sea-view was well appointed including a full sized new fridge which was awsome and really useful. Comfortable kitchen-lounge-diner, awsome bedroom with the largest most comfortable bed I have ever slept...

My husband and I have spent a lot of time in the Keys over the last 40 years and when we're not in a house, we seek out hotels that maintain the character and integrity of the Keys. This hotel qualifies as just that and is a Keys hidden gem. Private, quiet, comfy, relaxing. Great staff. Gorgeous setting. Spectacular sunsets....

We trailered a boat there, used Founders Park public boat ramp to put in (know that the boat ramp fees are pricey everywhere, theirs was $15 per launch or load), and it was a short boat ride back to the resort. It's also a short ride to Smuggler's Cove to get gas for the boat and head out to the...

We stayed one night in a suite of rooms, two bedrooms and living room kitchen combo. More of a lodge than a resort for dive groups and sport fishermen. No pool. Nice patio area. Washer and dryer on grounds.

If you are looking for the Florida Keys of the past The Lookout Lodge is the place to go. The simple but well appointed, clean rooms and private beach area remind me of many places in the Keys 20 or 30 years ago. These days places like this are few and far between. The hotel is right next door to...

What a nice place! It was small (I counted 12 rooms) with a great beach area (you can go in and swim if you want). It is next to a restaurant that has music at night (so you get to enjoy it from the beach area). You are close enough to everything without the crazy!

i wanted a place with a small beach so we wouldn't have to drive to the beach. the ad said a private beach which was actually next door by a restaurant and it was very small .the "beach" right at the hotel had a series of steps to get into the water. the room was dated but the mattresses were...
