We had a room on the end of the first floor. View from the balcony - bad, room excellent. No noise from adjacent rooms, clean hallways, elevator always available. The room was very clean. I sanitize everything - every surface, handle, knob, etc. The room was CLEAN and I mean no dust, dirt or black on the white sanitizing sheet from the room. The bathroom had 2 hairs, but otherwise was clean. I am assuming the hair was from the person who cleaned the bathroom as no others were found anywhere in the room. This hotel is exceptional! we wil stay here again! The bar and pool area was accessable and the entire experience great! We were surprised with a daily resort fee since the adult pool was closed, housekeeping does not enter your room due to Covid restrictions, and there were no organized activities to attend to. But overall great place to stay!

Our classic rooms provide views of the historic Old Town neighborhood of Key West, the heart of our beloved island. We also have rooms available offering views of our pools and gardens, as well as rooms with views of the Key West harbor. Our resort fee covers a wide range of amenities for our guests, including express turndown service in which all in-room supplies and linens are refreshed every day, COVID-19 safety kits in every room, welcome cocktails upon arrival, complimentary wifi, three pools, concierge service, daily intro to scuba classes, aqua yoga, complimentary bottled water, beach and spa access at our sister property, poolside live music and events, luxury handmade bath bomb, Key West Aloe products in room, a 24 hour state of the art fitness center with complimentary Peloton access, complimentary chips and salsa at the pool, Keurig coffee and tea stations, and the list goes on! We stay in KW 1 to 2x per year. We usually stay at another location but due to there being 3 of us we thought we’d try this hotel. When we checked in we had parking fees and resort fees on top of our rate we already paid. Plus no housekeeping services due to Covid (which rates should be reduced)When we went into our room the carpet was all wet. We talked with management and I thought they were going to move our room. The only other room was a room in the corner which we declined. They did bring us a bottle of wine. Then the day before we were going to leave they were having some big pool party. Tons of pp all over. Mind you we had been here a few days felt safe in hotel and around but this is def a covid spreader and worried us plus the fact it’s our last day and we can’t even enjoy the pool area which we paid for. I went to talk to her at the front desk and was told I should’ve known this because it’s posted all over the hotel. Really!! I’m from Minnesota they sure didn’t tell me when I booked the reservation and even seeing it on the walls it’s a little too late we’re already staying at the hotel. Plus the adult only pool is closed so couldn’t even go over to that pool. Rude front desk.. informed her I wanted to speak with management and was told not sure he’ll have time to talk to you today he’s busy at the pool party.. find another hotel. Dear Amy N, Thank you for the review. Our website and third party booking services disclose the parking and resort fees at the time of booking. These fees are industry standard for resorts in Key West. Our resort amenities fee provides our guests with an extensive list of amenities including express turndown service, complimentary bottled water, COVID-19 safety kits in every room, sanitation stations, complimentary WiFi, a 24 hour state of the art fitness center with complimentary Peloton access (highlighting our commitment to health), and much, much more. At the time of check in, we informed you about the event on Saturday. As we always try and go above and beyond for our guests, we gave you a complimentary 2-hour early check in after informing you that check in was at 4pm, the reason for which being that the deep cleaning and sanitization that we perform on all of our rooms to prevent the spread of COVID-19 had not yet completely dried. The staff then offered a complimentary room upgrade to a partial harbor view room, one of the best views in our hotel, to which you declined, and were again informed of the event on Saturday. In addition to verbal disclosure about the event, it was indeed posted around the hotel for days prior. After declining the complimentary room upgrade, you were sent a hand written note and a complimentary bottle of champagne. The poolside event you mention was a workout event we hosted to promote a healthy lifestyle in an unprecedented world and get healthy people outdoors to enjoy the fresh ocean air. The event was fully compliant with all state and local COVID-19 regulations, including local and state mask ordinances. All attendees were practicing social distancing, and we provided sanitation stations as well. An additional amenity that our property offers is a fantastic concierge service who are always available to assist you in planning exciting excursions around the island. Our concierge have vast knowledge of the activities available that one may otherwise have never known about. They are a valuable asset for our guests looking for things to do off property. We thank you again for your feedback. In our efforts to create an experience for all, we seem to have missed the mark. With all the changes and uncertainty will continue to work on improving our own high standards. We hope that everyone has a 5 star Key West adventure with us. Was good until the vanity light was dead and they couldn’t provide a microwave. In a city full of tourism and for the amount of money we paid, a microwave is not a crazy request so we can reheat leftovers...I was advised they didn’t even have on in staff lounge which was complete BS. We were leaving the next day and had something that needed to be heated. Was a complete waste. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

Although it seems that we have missed the mark on providing you exceptional customer service, I would like to go over the reasons for denial in microwave usage. Microwaves have unfortunately, not been an amenity at The Marker since we have opened. It can be a safety issue and furthermore, heating up a guests leftovers can be a health violation. While we do appreciate the feedback, we will not break safety protocols. It has always been our mantra to go above and beyond for our guests, and we will continue to strive for excellence. First off the staff of the Marker were the best we have ever had. We take a week long anniversary trip and we tend to go to nice resorts to relax and recharge. The staff here were the best in our 6 years of doing this. Special shout out to Sean and Maria for going above and beyond to accommodate us and resolve issues for us and make our stay memorable. Everyone was friendly and anything we needed was addressed immediately. We loved our room and the location is one of the best on the island. You can walk all over the harbor with many great bars and restaurants within a block of the resort. You also have a bus stop right out front that can take to the rest of the island and Duval is only two short blocks away. It couldn't be more prefect. We tend to prefer going the VBRO route for Key West but the Marker and staff have changed that. We will be back. Thanks again for making our 6th anniversary one of the most memorable.
