The Caribbean House Bed and Breakfast in Key West, Florida is a great place to stay while enjoying Key West. After reading this text review, please stop by our YouTube channel, Travel Odysseys, and enjoy our video review.

This incredible B&B offers a nice breakfast, a safe and clean room, friendly, helpful owners, and even free mimosas! The Caribbean House also offers paid parking as well as bike rentals. Although you may be able to find free street parking, parking can be a challenge in Key West, so we recommend renting a space, parking your vehicle, and exploring Key West by bike or on foot. This wonderful place is within a short walking distance of some great restaurants and iconic places to see such as the Hemingway House and the Southernmost Point in the United States.

The rooms are cozy, but you can make great use of space by sliding your suitcases beneath the bed. We stayed in the Granada room which had a queen-sized bed. Each room has an air conditioner and a flat-screen TV, and the entire hotel offers free WiFi.

We enjoyed staying at the Caribbean House, and we strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the exciting island of Key West.

We arrived in the Old Town Key West with no reservations. From the first contact with Mari, we knew we had found an ideal and reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast for our 3 night visit in Key West. Our clean and cozy room at this charming B&B was brightly decorated in Caribbean colors and original local artwork. In addition to the wrap-around porch, there is a cheerful veranda where a complimentary continental breakfast and mimosas are served each morning. But the best part of staying at The Caribbean House is the location in historic Bahama Village, a quiet residential area with colorful Bahamian-style architecture and panoramic water views. Duval Street, the epicenter of Key West’s famous party atmosphere, is only two blocks away and we were able to walk everywhere! The friendly staff are helpful…offering suggestions for dining where the locals go for the best seafood. We highly recommend staying at this unique bed and breakfast when you visit Key West!

This was my second stay at the Caribbean House. The cost is unbeatable, especially considering it's central location to the city center [2 blocks off of Duval]. It is walking distance to anywhere in Key West you want to go. The room was clean and well decorated. The air-conditioning worked great considering the sultry weather out doors. Albeit small... but I didn't spend much time there. Why would I... I was there to enjoy the city. There is a continental breakfast available and the room was cleaned impeccably every day. It is a small hotel so it was very quiet as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be frequenting it in the future.

We stayed one night in the Martinique room. It was tiny, quaint, and pretty. We arrived late and the guest services put our key in a lock box. We told them that we are celebrating a birthday and they left a birthday card and great gift on our bed. That was a nice touch...made us feel welcome. The bathroom is quite tiny but sufficient. The next morning the roosters would not stop...they went on and on...they were our alarm clock. Breakfast was ok. We had mimosas and pastries. If you want to park they have 3 limited parking spots in front for an extra $20 plus tax per night. Or you can park for free somewhere near within walking distance if you find a spot. The location was great. We went to the Southernmost Point and explored Duval St. before heading back home.

Thank you for your review. We are clean cozy and comfortable with a great location and staff. Unfortunately the rooster are part of the Key West experience and are all over town. They are a protected species here. We appreciate your business and hope you would consider us on a future visit. Best regards, Mari

Stayed in this quaint hotel for a week and enjoyed it very much. The staff was friendly and room was comfortable and cleaned every day. The complimentary breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt and baked goods. Simple but satisfactory. The hotel was in walking distance to Truman Waterfront park (great for morning exercise and sunsets), Front Taylor park and beach ( too rocky and a $2.50 entrance fee for walkers) and Duval street. Suggest going to Higgs public beach with white sand and no entrance fee. Many great restaurants nearby. Blue Heave restaurant has the best pancakes in town.
Warning: wearing mask is not mandatory, smoking outside of rooms ( secondhand smoke), and noise by partiers. Bring an eye mask and ear plugs.
Highly recommend this hotel for enjoyable stay in Key West.

4 night/5 day stay in Key West at the Caribbean House. This place was perfect for just the two of us (my wife and I) to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. (Thank you Mary for the special bottle of champagne!) We stayed in the Martinique room on the 2nd floor with a king bed and bath. Rooms are small but really all you need for two people since we were out and about every day. The folks that work here are so friendly, guest focused, and have excellent communication. A variety breakfast with mimosas were included every morning with our stay which was really nice and an “on your honor” fridge where you can get beer, wine, water, soda, etc anytime….just drop your cash in the box. We opted for the “off street” parking since we drove from the Tampa area and it was well worth the $25 nightly charge (spring break rates) to keep our car of the narrow street during a busy time.

The property is perfectly located a couple blocks from Duval Street with many great restaurants just steps away. FireFly (across the street), Blue Heaven and RamsHead a block away…and the list goes on. Best Cobb salad I’ve ever had at the FireFly and the Blue Heaven Jerk Chicken plate is the real deal and the live music just adds to the great night out. Did I mention that these restaurants are literally only steps away from the property. I highly recommend renting bikes which you can do right on property at the office. We rented bikes for two days and cruised to ZT state park and fort, the beaches, Mallory Square, the Marina, and many shops and bars.

If you’re looking for a classic Key West place for two just blocks from Duval then this is the place for you. You won’t be disappointed.

Stayed with my wife for our Anniversary. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and available if help was needed but not overbearing and constantly in your face like some places. They have made adjustments for covid with check in and other procedures like room being serviced. The room is a little tight but most everything is when you are visiting islands where real estate is a premium and it didn't bother us at all, we were generally out on the town anyways. Would def recommend and stay here again. The price, service, and location are phenomenal.

We had such an amazing time here. Our room was very nice and had everything we needed. You could not ask for a better location. You are close enough to walk to anything that interests you but far enough off from the noise. The breakfast had many choices ranging from pastries, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cheese, and cereal. The staff and owners are wonderful. They always kept us informed and made our stay here so easy. I highly recommend paying for reserved parking. Street parking is very limited but with reserved parking you know you have a spot and it is right in front of your room. I highly recommend the Caribbean House and can’t want to come back.

This is a neat little bed and breakfast type place. The rooms are small, but very clean and nicely decorated. The shower is real small as well as the whole bathroom has but it works and you’re only there for a day or two with parking is very tough. They charge you to park. There is a couple of free spots across from them once you park you don’t want to move use public transportation taxis, walk close to many restaurants and to the main drag they’re in Key West so it’s it’s a fun place but it is different to cruise might have a hard time this is not a low-cost place for the rental of the room as well as everything else that’s down there. Oh well like I said it is a fun place and you pay the price to be there.
