The location, size of room, complimentary breakfast, and cleanliness of the room and property were all great. The inn is in walking distance to all of the major hot spots, i.e bars, beaches and tours.
There were 7 of us who decided to visit Key West. Several family members had been in the past but this was this first time to stay at the Caribbean House. We all had a great time. We rented bicycles from the Caribbean House which made sight seeing much easier. The accommodations were great and the staff were very friendly and responsive.
Great location clean rooms. The staff was awesome. Breakfast every morning got the day started off perfectly. Would highly recommend. Small but beautiful rooms perfect for Keywest vacation. Close to Duval street and many other places. Parking space was great.
You will be charged 50 if you cancel your reservation regardless of advanced notification. Thier website explains all the policy about cancelling less than 30 days of arrival before it mentions 50 cancellation fee which leads you to believe if less than 30 days you will get charged. Just another example of money hungry establishment with no regards to customers.
All I can say is wow! Everything u need is available with all the comforts of home. The room was color and bright. Every space used appropriately to store or hang items Room and bathroom clean and the Team is more than helpful to accommodate your needs. Friendly, informative and provided suggestions of interest to visit or dine. Hidden Gem!!
4 night/5 day stay in Key West at the Caribbean House. This place was perfect for just the two of us (my wife and I) to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. (Thank you Mary for the special bottle of champagne!) We stayed in the Martinique room on the 2nd floor with a king bed and bath. Rooms are small but really all you need for two people since we were out and about every day. The folks that work here are so friendly, guest focused, and have excellent communication. A variety breakfast with mimosas were included every morning with our stay which was really nice and an “on your honor” fridge where you can get beer, wine, water, soda, etc anytime….just drop your cash in the box. We opted for the “off street” parking since we drove from the Tampa area and it was well worth the $25 nightly charge (spring break rates) to keep our car of the narrow street during a busy time. The property is perfectly located a couple blocks from Duval Street with many great restaurants just steps away. FireFly (across the street), Blue Heaven and RamsHead a block away…and the list goes on. Best Cobb salad I’ve ever had at the FireFly and the Blue Heaven Jerk Chicken plate is the real deal and the live music just adds to the great night out. Did I mention that these restaurants are literally only steps away from the property. I highly recommend renting bikes which you can do right on property at the office. We rented bikes for two days and cruised to ZT state park and fort, the beaches, Mallory Square, the Marina, and many shops and bars. If you’re looking for a classic Key West place for two just blocks from Duval then this is the place for you. You won’t be disappointed.…
this place is very clean and comfortable. the bathroom is small including the shower. The shower did have a spry wand to get all that needs to be washed. the room was a great place to rest because it was quiet while at the same time a easy walk to Duval St. if going to Key West I would recommend this place to stay .they offered Breakfast which we did not try, only cause we were out an about we had been to Key West almost 15 years ago and was surprised at how it had change ,in our view for the worst. Traffic is crazy bad and everywhere parking was expensive. We found a free spot and used taxis to cut out traffic hassles if going I would recommend staying at the Caribbean House..
We received a text on the morning of our arrival with the gate code and what to do when we arrived. Our room was ready and spotless. We were greeted by Mary who was very helpful. Breakfast is set up by 8:30 complete with mimosas. In the evening, there is an honor bar and fridge in the same area. Prices are listed for wine, beer, energy drinks, hard ciders, and soft drinks. It came in handy at the end of the evening as we were winding down and enjoying the quiet time. The location in Old Town is perfect with restaurants, shops, and bars on the street. Bikes are available to rent. The Hemmingway house is about a 5-minute walk. It was nice to be away from Duval street yet it's close enough to walk to. I have very high praise for the owner and staff. They are all so very helpful and extremely nice. We will be back in the future.…
Location great. Rooms clean. Small rooms, but we knew that ahead of time. Morning continental breakfast was perfect! Parking was limited but we were able to secure a spot when we reserved it ahead of time. This was a great place to stay if you are looking for a simple clean place with professional staff. The guests for us were very courteous.
Stayed in this quaint hotel for a week and enjoyed it very much. The staff was friendly and room was comfortable and cleaned every day. The complimentary breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt and baked goods. Simple but satisfactory. The hotel was in walking distance to Truman Waterfront park (great for morning exercise and sunsets), Front Taylor park and beach ( too rocky and a $2.50 entrance fee for walkers) and Duval street. Suggest going to Higgs public beach with white sand and no entrance fee. Many great restaurants nearby. Blue Heave restaurant has the best pancakes in town. Warning: wearing mask is not mandatory, smoking outside of rooms ( secondhand smoke), and noise by partiers. Bring an eye mask and ear plugs. Highly recommend this hotel for enjoyable stay in Key West.…
