Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a great place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the place is very comfortable and about as private as you can get. We stayed in the Hemmingway suite. t has 2 bedrooms and a fold out couch and has another attached room you can also add but do not have to. Full kitchen and dining room and your own private back yard with very high privacy fences and trees with your own private swimming pool.
Locaiton is about a mile from the downtown strip, but they will rent you bikes for a reasonable price ($10 per day for 2 days or $15 per day for 1 day). There is a grocery store about a half mile away and all kinds of great restaurants. You have access to all kinds of beach toys and chairs to take to the beach, which Higgs beach is only about a 20 min walk.
The only downside to the place was that the bathrooms are very small, especially the showers. But we could live with that for a couple days of this place.
We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Suite Dreams Inn for 5 days in the Hemingway Suite. It was awesome. Very nice accommodations. Everything is updated and clean and we had a ton of space for the five of us. Great location in a quiet residential area, yet close to Higgs and Smathers Beaches. We rented bikes directly from the owners and used them every day to get around. Very convenient to have that right on the property. Free parking on-site too. Easy walking distance to restaurants and old town KW. Laundry facilities available on property and plenty of beach gear for guests to borrow, which was a great benefit since we flew in and couldn't lug all that stuff with us on the plane. Highly recommend this place! We would definitely stay there again. A++

After our cruise was cancelled we decided to take a trip to Key West. Suite Dreams Inn saved our vacation! Mark and Gail were amazing hosts. They helped book excursions and were eager to help us make the most of our trip. The space was comfortable and we even had a private pool. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, but was also in walking distance to the beach, Duval Street, and the fishing pier. We all decided that we’ll be back someday!!!

If any of your friends are nudists or just wish the privacy for a clothing option swim, the Hemingway Suite and its connecting rooms will address their needs. We stayed for 4 nights here, it's a traditional property and could probably do with some TLC. The room was smaller than expected and smelt awfully of damp, we didn't use the air conditioning as it looked ancient and also had leaked and was stuffed with cardboard. We didn't use the pool or other facilities as the pool is actually only a small dipping pool covered by trees with room for only three very closely squashed together sun loungers right near the entrance door so not very private. The property is full of lovely dense vegetation, that said if you had wanted to sit in the sun then your options were very limited and this wasn't really my idea of relaxing hence we spent most of our time away from the property. This is also quite a walk to Mallory Square and the busier end of town which we didn't mind however some people may find this off-putting. The bathroom facilities were ok however I did see one night the largest cockroach ever running across the wall. We had a fridge and microwave but no space really to wash items other than the bathroom sink and no surface to prepare food as such. That all said the owner was very helpful, picked us up from the airport, offered to run us back and we were able to store our luggage after check out. Housekeeping is optional and also management are not always about but there is a number to call should you need it however as charges for calling with a UK phone are so extortionate this should be take into consideration by the owner when accommodating international guests. The In is based in a lovely quiet area with so many interesting properties to look at along the way on your walk, the beach is around three blocks but isn't the best beach and the southernmost point is around similar distance with Hemingway House and the Lighthouse museum being around 10 blocks away.

We are so sorry you had a bad experience. I am sure you are aware that the room you chose is our most cost effective accommodation and thus will not have many of the amenities and luxuries of our suites. We do suggest that visitors from outside of the U.S. use the What's Ap application to easily reach us without added expense. We are located in a peaceful residential neighborhood near Higgs Beach and its city park and Salute's restaurant and in order to be so we are a 9 minute walk to the southernmost end of Duval St. In order to offer this peaceful vacation spot we must be away from the noise of Duval St. We advise all guests that there is a free bus that picks up at United and Duval (10 minute walk) that will take you anywhere in Old Town including Mallory Square from 7:00am to midnight. Our dipping pool is typical for Key West. Ours is shaded which is a huge benefit. We do have a private pool attached to our Hemingway Suite which is very popular. The lounge chairs next to our common area dipping pool are in full sun most of the day. We do apologize for the bug, this is unusual, I believe it came from the construction going on at the house next door. By the way, you may be happy to know that your room was fully renovated and the air conditioner situation was addressed, all due to your comments. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience! Spacious, well stocked place, 2 blocks from the beach. Mark is an excellent local host and can arrange everything for your needs including tours, beach activities and any rentals. We were a group of 6 and rented the hemmingway room. Mark has multiple rooms and can accommodate groups of various sizes from couples to party of 13. He was very relaxed and allowed us to checkout later than the scheduled time.

Will definitely return to Suite Dreams Inn next trip! Mark was the perfect host at this charming little hidden gem. We stayed in the garden suite which fit our needs perfectly. If you seek solitude and serene quiet this is for you. Mark set up our golf cart rental which was waiting at the airport when we landed, saving us cab fare. He met us in person, gave us a tour, and being fellow Buckeyes, chatted for awhile. Very personable and attentive to your needs. I had made a last minute request for a bottle of bubbly to celebrate 42 years of marriage and not only was it waiting chilled but he also had put fresh flowers in our suite. I have chronic back pain and many sleepless nights but slept like a baby on the mattress in our room. A quick golf cart ride to all of the hot spots and restaurants and only 3 blocks from the beach. I cannot recommend this enough for responsible adults...not a party place but one for relaxation and enjoyment. Five stars is not enough.

Booked Hemingway Suite and will do it again. Close to everything we needed. Mark was a great host. If you are looking for Key Westish vibe this is the place. Loved the pool!!!!!!!!!!! Rode bikes that they rent as well as walked to Duvall and Southernmost attractions, ubered it otherwise as car not needed.

Beautiful, well maintained property. Peaceful, serene and close to the beach, Sweet Dreams Inn exceeded all my expectations from the moment I arrived. Mark even arranged a massage on the property during my stay. The live music in the common area added an extra special touch in the evening. Thank you for making my getaway one I will never forget. Loved our stay. Great location - just far enough removed from the hustle and bustle. Quiet, relaxing environment. Included in the room was everything we needed to make our 3 night stay comfortable (fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishes/utensils) Friendly, knowledgeable host.

Too far from Duval street and activities. Bathroom/showers in Hemingway Suite smaller than a cruise ship. Pull out bed awful and some furniture hard as a rock. All 7 of our group have some type of insect bite. Drapes, bed sheets are old need to be replaced. Air conditioning vents have mold and need to be cleaned. You have no control of AC. It is controlled by property manager. Too many common walls. We had neighbors in Duval suite that played their TV 24 hours a day for 3 days and smoked all the time although smoking is not permitted. We had a group of 7 and questioned to why we need more towels. Toaster doesn't work and buy your own toilet paper too. The $8000 that we spent wasn't worth it at all.
