The Cabana Inn draws guests with its excellent central location, perfect for sightseeing, although the bustling area does introduce some noise. Travelers consistently praise the hotel's cleanliness and enjoy the charm of its relaxed atmosphere. While the rooms elicit mixed reviews, with comments on their outdatedness, many find them to be spacious and comfortable.
Visitors are particularly fond of the on-site amenities like the pool and complimentary breakfast, despite occasional maintenance gripes. However, some guests feel that additional fees detract from the overall value of their stay.

Pool and hot tub are great and the property is literal steps away from Mile marker 0. Location is so close to the main strip, Hemingway house, Lighthouse, pier and not far from Southernmost Point. And couch beds all around the pool to just be lazy. Free breakfast with Starbucks coffee, wine, cheese and crackers at night. Staff was helpful and mostly kind. Quaint little hidden gem tucked away right next to the old Strand theatre.

We loved our stay at The Cabana Inn. Friendly staff, great maid service, beautiful property. The location is fantastic, just off Duval Street where all the action is but far enough away that you don't really hear the noise at night. Loved the roosters on the property (noisy but they're everywhere in Key West…bring your earplugs)…the morning brunch was perfect and the Starbucks coffee machine was really a nice touch. We also enjoyed the wine & cheese in the afternoon which was complimentary. Bike rental on-site at only $15 per person per bike for 10 hours. Fantastic! We had such a great time here. The property is an older building so the water pressure in the bathroom for the shower was a bit low, but nothing that was really serious. The room was spacious and the king size bed was lovely! Also loved the fridge, microwave and in-room safe in the room. Honestly, no complaints. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay and loved our Cabana King room. We enjoyed that the pool is open 24/7. The pool and hot tub outdoor areas are very nice and relaxing and well maintained. Pool is kept very clean, but there are many trees so some leaves will fall in the pool. We also got lucky to snag one of six parking spaces but it has a daily fee of $25. Even though pricey and adds up we were ok with it since you will have to pay to park anywhere. There is also a daily hotel amenity fee of $25 per day. They do offer a breakfast which is pre-packed foods, starbucks coffee and also a wine and cheese happy hour but hardly worth the amenity fee. The location of this inn is perfect - quiet enough to escape the craziness of Duval Street but near enough to walk everywhere. They also offer bike rentals but we mostly walked. We were lucky to get a great room. Felt very private (second floor walk-up right next to the pool) Plenty of drawer and closet space. The room could use some minor cosmetic updates. We would definitely return here again!

Great location but you get nothing for what you pay. Not even a plastic cup to drink water inside your room or a couple of water bottles in the fridge, or shampoo in the shower. Not enough towels for the pool. I know Covid 19 have changed the rules, but there are basics that a hotel MUST pay attention, to wow the customers and to have us go back. Honestly, I don't seem to care.

Hello. We apologize that we did not meet your expectations. We take the safety of our staff and guests very seriously. For this reason, we have removed many of the standard amenities from the room. However, we have all amenities available for guests as needed. Any item that would normally be in the room or the pool area is available by asking the front desk. We have done this to ensure the proper cleaning and sanitization of all items that multiple guests could come across. We hope that you will give us another chance in the future knowing that all items are available to our guests.

You're paying for location! Can't say enough about how perfect this was if you want to be near the hustle and bustle of downtown and Duval St. Close to many great restaurants, the waterfront, and all the rental items you could need. The hotel did a nice happy hour with cheap wines, and that was nice.
The property itself needs an major update. The floor in our room had a hole in vinyl flooring, the bathroom looked dirty even though we assumed (hoped) it was just old, and the window unit AC couldn't keep up with the June Florida heat. The trees around the pool may look nice, but it resulted in constant leaves falling and making the area look messy while filling the pool with nature.
The tiny shampoo and body wash containers weren't enough for more than one female hair washing and were terrible quality, and our room didn't come with extra toilet paper or a hair dryer.
Breakfast was enough for a child, but any adult couldn't fill up in any healthy way on tiny 1/2cup yogurts, muffins, and apple juice boxes. Granted we did come during COVID-19, so maybe breakfast is better when there isn't a pandemic

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review Jaime. We are happy to hear you had a good stay overall. With the precautions we are taking during this time, we have downsized our breakfast for the safety for staff and guests. We have also taken extra precaution to remove touchpoints from the room such as extra toilet paper and hair dryers, however these are always readily available from the front desk. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us during this time and we hope to host you again in the future.

Great location and great property but the staff are rude. The front desk girl would rather flirt, have personal conversations and take smoke breaks all the time. Acted put off and annoyed when we had to ask for pool towels and towels for our room because they had them hidden away and not available for guests. The maintenance people were using leaf blowers at 8am outside of our room. The groundskeeper was very rude when we asked if the temperature in the spa could be turned down and was upset because the front desk lady told us to turn it down ourself. We found out they had it at 105 which is way higher than normal temp should be (104 max) and my husbands blood pressure went up. The property is great but the staff could use a cleaning.

located a block off Duval and all the fun! Good size room, clean. After checkin the cashier brought us to our room and made sure we knew how to enter as well as use the coffee machine. He also showed us where breakfast and happy hour were located All rooms in Key West are very pricey, hope they stay reasonable because we will definitely be back!

Overall, our experience was “okay.”The staff was very friendly, especially the lady who named one of the resident hens “my chicken!” We were able to rent bikes from The Cabana Inn, which was helpful. The room was moderately damp feeling, as if it couldn’t get quite cool enough, but it slept dark & quiet once the door was closed. There seemed to be a quite a bit of drama from several other guests, which in a small area was annoying. Be mindful of the resort fees of 40-ish bucks a day and parking is a block away at 30 dollars a day. Gonna book with a different Inn on our next Key West adventure.

Rooms are very small, but nice. It has two rooms, King size bed in nice size room, small bath and a small closet. But plenty efficient enough for a short stay. Staff very friendly. ( Outside is very well lit, But the blinds in the room don't block out the light as good as we would have liked ) I gave them that as a comment request to add black out bliss to the rooms. We stayed during the reopening after the COVID-19 so they didn't come into the rooms to clean while we was there, You had to lay out the dirty towels and wash rags, instead of who ever picked them up drop off clean to replace, you had to go and request them to leave clean. ( that was a little silly ) Still all and all it was very nice.

Thank you for such a kind review mrjoatllc. We are happy that you were able to join us as we re-open following the COVID shutdown. While the new cleaning, sanitinzing and social distancing measures that we have put into effect are an adjustment for everyone, we are thrilled to hear that you still had such an enjoyable stay. We hope to see you again in the future.

Stayed in the Presidential suite but nothing “presidential” about it.Thermostat didn’t maintain temp settings.ice maker never worked.furniture heavily scratched and outdated.shower needed proper cleaning.bathroom tile was missing grout.vanity too small for 2 people.WiFi only worked if sitting in a corner on the balcony.only sheets provided.had to ask for blankets and those were very old and should be replaced.floors very scratched.blinds were dirty and broken.girl working Front desk wasn’t friendly.complementary breakfast not impressive. Housekeeping wasn’t provided due to COVID so I can understand that but this wasn’t disclosed at the time of checkin. I had to walk to the office for a roll of toilet paper and was only given a roll at a time. Chipped countertop and chipped paint on walls. The only decor in the room was 2 cheap pictures that were too small for the wall space. Bed lamps were old and wobbly. As a traveler I can overlook some imperfections however when you pay for the hotels best room and had this many issues it was Ridiculous.

Not sure if it's heated. It wasn't when we were there in July, but then it wasn't needed. It was chilly though, even in summer it was mostly in the shade all the time, which was great because it was always refreshing.
Great question! I also want the answer
