This was my first experience staying at a B&B. Sammi was the BEST! He was always ready to assist, very friendly and funny and makes a GREAT waffle! The property was clean and comfortable. I loved the peacefulness of the courtyard. No kids are allowed and, as an empty nester, I really appreciated this! If you are looking for a great place to HQ out of for your Key West vacation then you need to go here!
We were greeted with open arms. They are amazing and super nice. We enjoyed our night stay. The room was super cute as well. We loved it there and will be going back. We got awesome well prepared breakfast in the morning.
The Garden House on Elizabeth St. was a hidden gem! We recently stayed there for two nights. From the moment we arrived, The host, Sammy, made us feel at home. The rooms are nice and tidy, the courtyard and pool are very welcoming. The "Tiny Queen' is definitely tiny, but no problem when you are enjoying everything Key West has to offer. Would stay again!
Having never been to Key West, it was hard to determine how close or how far things are based on a map. Let me tell you that the location of this quaint little Bed & Breakfast is amazing. We could walk to Duval Street in less than 5 minuets. We could be at Hemingway's House in about 15 to 20. The only time we needed an Uber, which usually arrived in 1-5 minuets, was to a Kayak trip (Uber ride was $19) and to the airport(Uber was $20). You can rent bikes from here, but if you are able to walk, you really can see everything from one end of Duval to the other end from this B&B. Now, about the property itself. It is on a very quiet street. My husband and I had the room known as "The Tiny Queen" and stayed for 4 nights. It is right by the pool and eating area. Pros: Did I mention the location?? It's a great location, the room was super clean, the bathroom was very updated and clean. The bathroom and bedroom were totally separate from each other. I could close the bedroom door and leave the bathroom door open or closed, which was nice. There is a fairly large mini fridge in the room, an iron, ironing board, and the night stands on both sides of the bed had plugs on the lamps to charge your electronic devices. There was also an extension cord by the dresser that you could plug in two more devices. The vibe here is super cool, you definitely feel like you're in Key West!! Possible negitives: For us it was not a big deal, but the Tiny Queen has no room on either side of the bed to really walk. I am 5 ft 8 in, and 135 pounds, I either had to walk sideways to get into bed or climb from the bottom of the bed to get in. Which for us was not a big deal. We were only in the room to sleep and shower. The rest of the time we were gone. There is also no microwave or coffee maker in the room. The B&B does have coffee, but it is not out until 7:15 A.M. Again, not a big deal for us. Cons: The only two cons I have is that there are no towel bars in the bathroom or hooks of any kind. The bathroom itself is very good size and there is plenty of wall space for some hooks or towel bars to hang towels or wet suits. Even some hooks in the long hallway would work!! The only other thing was that our room was at the back of the property. At night, the walk way was not well lit at all and the walkway is uneven. We would use our phones to light the way to our room. But again, not to big of a deal since most phones has flashlights on them. So, would I stay here again? In a heartbeat! I would even stay in "The Tiny Queen" even if other rooms were available. Did I mention the location was fabulous?? You will not regret staying here.…
If you want to get the true feeling of Key West, this is the place! It not a cookie cutter hotel, it is full of personality! It’s close to everything and was clean and comfortable. We were in Room 1 which included a private patio, which we loved. Sammy and Cel took great care of us. We had fun meeting people from all over. We enjoyed it and would go back!
