I am here now sitting on my front porch taking in the beautiful boats and water . It is AMAZING here- complete paradise. If you want the night life, the boat will take you right into the action. Hop back on, & return to total peace. The staff are ALL great, very pleasant, can’t do enough for you. Cottages have housekeeping every day, and nice treats & water, juices delivered to you daily . Go ahead & splurge! Spa is so calming, & relaxing too- just wish they had longer hours, more days - so I could go again , hehe. Grounds are so well kept, such an oasis. Pool very refreshing
Can honestly say this place is a perfect paradise and felt a million dollars checking in. The hotel has own boat to take you to the island which is frequent and luggage transportation all in hand. The house we stayed in was clean and spacious, breakfast delivered daily and very very nice. Views are amazing out to sea and trees pretty with orchids. Pool area clean and staff so helpful, Smithers cant do enough for everyone which was great offering small frozen strawberry drinks. Ice-cream cart is lovely. The absolute highlight is Lattitude restaurant watching sunset - food delicious and service excellent. JP a great waiter too with small taster of lamb bacon which we ordered as so lovely. We went to Key West but couldn’t wait to return to island. Only comment is beach is gorgeous but by waters edge its rather crushed cement and wear flip flops into sea. Half island is privately owned snd beautiful homes. Cant recommend this place enough and very much worth the long drives along the keys to get there.…
We had such a wonderful time! Sunset Key Cottages and staff were amazing. We had a 3 bed/3bath cottage, fridge was stocked with water, a bottle of Champagne and a delicious cheese and fruit tray when we arrived. They had the nicest welcome bag and a beautifully written birthday card. We had a delivery of pastries and fresh fruit every morning, an afternoon snack basket, an ice cream bicycle cart, poolside and beachside drinks in the afternoon. We'd love to have stayed longer, but we enjoyed every minute! The cottages are located on Sunset Key, a small island only a few minute ferry ride from Key West.
This was taken from a review I wrote for my online audience. An ode to Sunset Key. ☀️🌅 I’m about to put my travel Blogger hat on for a moment because I just really need everyone to know about this place. I don’t know about you, but I really appreciate a bougee resort that makes me feel a celebrity every now and then. 🤩🤣 Sunset Key was ABSOLUTELY the high point of our trip to the Keys! I purposely decided to go more middle of road price points for the other two resorts we stayed at and splurge on this one. It was worth every penny. I literally cannot express how beautiful, tranquil and serene this resort was. You have to ferry over from Opal Resort on Key West, and you basically feel like you’re a celebrity from the minute you arrive. The staff is amazing, so attentive and incredibly friendly! (Which might be why I was so disappointed in Isla Bella, where we stayed after this- more on that later 🤦🏻♀️) Upon checkin, they greeted us with ice cold Fiji bottled water, and scented cold towels which were so refreshing after the drive down and boat ride. The concierge personally walked us to our cottage which was adorable! A gift bag was waiting on the table with waterproof phone cases, a cute blue and white striped neoprene wristlet and some key lime cookies. All the decor in the room was blue and white, which if you’ve been to my home, you know I LOVE allll things 💙🤍! We settled in and about an hour later, some ( delicious ) 🍾 champagne, a yummy cheese platter and dark salted chocolates arrived as an anniversary gift from the resort. 🥂🤩 #yesplease Later that afternoon a picnic basket style cooler was dropped with extra bottled waters (Fiji) and Natalie’s orange juice ( my favorite ). As we walked to the beach, an ice cream cart was going around with free ice cream which was a path straight to my husbands heart! 🤣 We enjoyed time under a huge tiki hut style beach umbrella and chairs and were pretty much giddy at this point. At 5 pm, they do a local Rum tasting at Lattitudes. Smithers the bartender made us the best rum runner I’ve ever had and we tasted both a local white and dark rum. We enjoyed chatting with her for probably an hour both afternoons we were in property. She knew EVERYTHING about Key West history, celebrity visits , local politics and gossip and she was so interesting to listen to. Dinner at Lattitudes is a MUST do while in Key West. Easily one of the most beautiful sunset views you can imagine. The food is out of this world and again, the staff was impeccable! We lounged by the pool and ocean, we fished from the dock, saw a shark and some huge sting rays right off the beach and when our two days there were over I didn’t want to leave. We boated over to Key West one afternoon but I just wasn’t into it and was ready to go right back to sunset 🤣 If we ever go back to the keys, I’ll fly direct into Key West and go straight to sunset key! Whew, ok, I’ve been waiting until I had time to adequately express my obsession with this resort and I hope I got my point across 🤣🤣 Just go, you won’t regret!…
Visiting with my mom and she mentioned one of her favorite places, is the pool on Sunset Keys. I have to agree, not only was it a beautiful place to be, the team there was absolutely amazing. It was so nice to enjoy a beautiful day with these beautiful people. Thank you, Thomas, Teresa, and Alex for taking care of us and making our stay absolutely amazing! Can't wait to come back and
Sunset Key is heaven on earth, the island is amazing but the staff makes it even more amazing. Thomas and Alex at the pool bar are a must, you have to go spend time with them! The fish tacos are to die for, make sure to get them blackened. You can’t visit Key west without going to the island.
We had an amazing day here before coming here we were afraid about many things but when we came, got everything perfect and the staff was very helpful and very good with fully vaccinated. We will come again to this place and will recommend this place to all our friends..
This place is a tropical paradise state side. The service is next to none. There was not one staff member that did not go above and beyond. The food and drinks were spectacular. There is something unique each meal if you choose. Fish tacos fried or blackened were amazing pool side!! The drinks had many top shelf offers most places don’t have. This place is Close enough ( ferry ride) to down town key west if you choose but then you get to retreat to a tropical paradise after. This place will not disappoint. Great for a couples get away or enjoy time with the family. I didn’t want to leave. Until next time…….
Wow, once you step off the shuttle, you feel like you are on paradise island- even though off shore, shuttles run on a regular basis, so easy to get back and forth- we stayed in a 3 bedroom garden view cottage close to the pool- very convenient for families with young children and yes this is a family friendly resort- the entire property is immaculate- our stay was made that much more special by our concierge, Maidelys Oberto- she went above and beyond to assist with great restaurant suggestions and reservations, securing balloons and a cake made from key lime for my wife’s birthday , as well as suggestions for kayaking and snorkeling tours- The speciality restaurant ,Latitudes , serves unbelievable food and has a great and diverse selection. This is a truly spectacular location and should be on everyone’s bucket list when visiting key west…
This resort is the most beautiful resort I have ever visited. So pristine, quiet, breathtaking views and the customer service was incredible. A special thank you to, Chris Beck. He made us feel so welcome! I look forward to coming back with my family. Tamara L. Bereza
