We stayed here for a couple nights and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were small but cozy, clean, and quaint. The two pools are nice with nice deck areas around each of them. The location of the inn was good, short walk to Duval street, and short biking distances to other touristy spots. Wish they had more designated parking spots near the hotel but if you're lucky enough to snag a parking voucher then it is no big deal. It's right next to Eaton bike shop which was convenient as well. Also wish they offered complimentary breakfast but it was nice they offered $5 vouchers for the bakery down the street. Probably would stay here again!
My sister and I visited Key West for a vacation. We had a blast. The Westwinds Inn was a fabulous place to stay. They upgraded our room. They made us feel right at home. Latoya at the front desk was extremely gracious. She went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pools and grilling (just about every night). The location on Eaton street is convenient to all places in Old Town Key West! We love the bakery up the street. We also took advantage of bike rentals! We are definitely going to be back! Thank you for making this vacation a memorable experience!
We stayed here as a family 1 night stay. The inn is very well located and parking on the street easy to find. We stayed in room 501. It had a nice veranda and the room had a queen bed and a pull out sofa. The room was clean and nice. Also shower and towels where fine. The pool area was very nice too. It has like a small oasis with palms and plenty of shade. Complementary towels also. The inn even gave us 4x 5$ coupons for the nearby breakfast at the old bakery. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was that the free Wi-Fi did not reach our room. Thank you for a nice stay. Highly recommend
I chose Westwinds Inn for the first stay in Key West of my adult life. I stayed in not just one, but two rooms during this trip during a "potential tropical cyclone". It came to a total of three nights. Both rooms were clean and comfortable with soothing decor, which was helpful because of the anxiety over whether the ferry back would be running, and the persistent rain. It turns out the ferry company never notified me about the canceled ride back as promised, but I found out through Loisha at the front desk, who quickly found me another room at a discounted price, while I rescheduled my ride home. Also a special shout out to Al, who was extremely accommodating in answering my questions and watching my bags between checkout and when I had to sadly leave Key West. The staff did everything to accommodate my needs and I truly felt they were looking out for me. The property isn't huge but rooms are spread out in small buildings with their own decks and cool paths in between. There are two pools, each with lounge chairs, towels, and beautiful, lush greenery not to mention plenty of birds and lizards. It's truly an oasis in a bustling town; and Duval Street is just a few blocks away, which helps in walking off the food and drinks. And the hotel is just a quick walk from the ferry terminal. But next time I'm taking the magnificent drive to Key West from St. Pete, and I cannot wait to stay at Westwinds Inn again!…
Super location to be a short walk to Duval, Mallory Square and everything we wanted. Room was lovely and well supplied. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Loved, loved, loved staying here. Bakery just down street for breakfast was delicious with a great variety. Great pools and outdoor areas.
Great people make a great Hotel/Inn. Al at front desk goes above & beyond to help. Rooms very clean. A.C. worked great in hot Key West. Pools well kept and nice. Good wifi. Safe area. Very quiet at night. Walk to everywhere & everything. 5 blocks to Duval and 4 to marina. We will be back. Thanks to all at the Westwinds...
My husband and I stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon, it was a perfect balance of privacy and proximity to downtown. We loved the tropical feel of the pool. All of the staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. They weren’t doing the breakfast at the time of our stay, so we were given vouchers to a bakery at the end of the block (very easy walking distance) and ALL the food there was amazing (don’t leave without having a danish!) Our room was the King room. It wasn’t huge, but it was big enough for us both to have our own space for clothes. No microwave but large mini-fridge with freezer was nice. We would stay here again if we came back!
Lush landscaping! Heated Pool! And Aloysia at check in! Peaceful Private Laid Back! Yes the room is tiny but we were never in it so who cares! We needed a bed and a shower, a pool and quiet.. this is the place. And breakfast at the Old Town Bakery is amazing 🫕 convenient to Old Town and the Seaport, nice location. Parking was never an issue it was easy to find parking within a block.highly recommend
We booked the deluxe king room for 6 nights. We ended up with a small room, super hard bed that squeaked with every move, itty bitty shower stall and the room was so illuminated by the outside lights in the garden/pool area at night, it was like daylight. The room was literally darker during the day, then at night. So we purchased black trash bags and duct tape and covered the windows and door so we could sleep. The walls are so paper thin, we could hear the neighbors talk and snore! The only reason for 2 stars is because it was clean, the staff were nice, the garden/pool area was nice and the location was good. This will be hotel number 2 that we do not recommend staying at in Key West.
This location is great. Close enough to the action but slightly removed for a quiet setting. We've stayed in various locations in Old City and by far this one was the best. Close to transportation, a good variety of restaurants, and the docks are close. Thier posted pictures are quite accurate. Landscaping is beautiful. The staff was exceptional and always very helpful. We booked a Jr. King Suite and were quite happy with the bed and the amount of space it provided. (shower could use an update). I would recommend you book directly with Inn, they were very helpful in describing the differences in the room types and location within the property, so no surprise when we arrived. Daily room service.. all good. Looking forward to our next trip!!
